I stayed here for business so I needed to do more work in my room, the staff were happy for me to take my dinner up into my room and the rump steak that I had was incredibly good. I was also up and out in the morning too early for breakfast so the staff made me a packed lunch which was really nice of them. "

"The main thing to be said about our stay at the poltimore is that the staff really couldnt do enough for you. So attentive and lovely. The room was clean, spacious and had a stunning view of the countryside. The water sometimes ran brown, but this is probably the only negative comment to be said. Food has always been very nice here. I spoke that evening to Steve Parfitt on reception who immediately checked the pool locker and kindly called me back to inform me that he had found it. "I had a lovely stay at the Exeter Inn! Michelle and Martin gave me the warmest welcome, and the whole place felt instantly inviting. I met up with friends from Bampton for dinner, and the Festive Christmas menu was excellent — beautifully cooked and full of flavour. I stayed in the Brook bedroom, which was immaculate and thoughtfully supplied with plenty of toiletries. A genuinely delightful visit and I’d happily return. Thank you !"

"Quiet and clean, with a simple Check-In and Check-Out process. Plenty of parking even for large vehicles, and spacious rooms. Great shower and heating kept us warm during a rainy week. Easy route to get to Woolacombe beach."

"This was a return visit as we loved the friendly staff and locals. Special treat for our Irish Wolfhound because my wife was on antibiotics so timing meant she couldn't have her breakfast... so guess who got it instead. Very happy dog though I think the chef felt his skills were not being tested given she likes her eggs raw. So yes they are very dog friendly, and the food for us humans was excellent as well."

"An overnight stay for my wife and self, a proper pub in a village with decent food and warm exceptionally clean accommodation. Beer was good and locals were friendly, as were the staff, parking in the village square 50 yards from the premises. What's not to like . "
