For our very first VRBO experience, this one set the bar really high! Tom is an exceptional host! The home was cozy and quaint. The perfect place for our little family get away. The grounds are beautiful!! Tom was inviting and the sweetest man! He met us at the front door to welcome us and he checked in to see if we needed anything. If you’re looking for the perfect place, you found it!! He had yummy treats in the fridge, plenty of water and a cute snack bar. We utilized all of it! Beds were comfy!! Much like home! We were able to relax in the hot tub at the end of our days there, which, after hiking, was much needed! Sadly, because we left so early in the morning, we didn’t get to say goodbye, but Tom checked on us via text on our way home, and then hours later, checked to make sure we made it home safely! Who does that? Only the very best people would!! I HIGHLY recommend Green Acres! You won’t find a better home and host! Thank you for the best experience Tom!!!

We had a wonderful stay at the Green Escape. Tom was the quintessential host and anticipated our every need. He greeted us when we arrived, carried our luggage in for us, and gave us a tour of the property. Both the fridge and kitchen were well stocked with lots of snacks and breakfast treats. We didn't have to worry about going out for breakfast while we were there. Tom shared his love of plants with us, and was even willing to give us some starts from a few of his plants! We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for a nice, relaxing weekend.

We had a much needed relaxing stay at the Green Escape. Tom really is an amazing host, providing everything we could possibly need during our stay (and more). The view of the stars through the trees from the hot tub was beautiful and was a perfect way to end the day after hiking. We took advantage of the pass to the NC arboretum and hiked the trails there. We hope to come back very soon!

Host was very kind, thoughtful, and paid great attention to detail to provide a wonderful stay. They even went out of their way to provide amenities beyond typical expectations. Was a very clean, beautifully decorated, and private space, and the hot tub was a great add! 10/10 recommend.

My husband and I booked Green Escape to end our week long anniversary roap trip and it couldn't have been more perfect. From the moment I booked, Tom was attentive- giving multiple restaurant recommendations to try during our stay and the excellent communication remained throughout. Tom's place is nothing short of wonderful- seriously, the pictures don't do it justice. Spacious, yet cozy, homey, eclectic, THE PLANTS! The setting, the hot tub, the outdoor shower, the birds in the morning, the wind chimes in the evening. Tom left us a bottle of wine, yogurt, juice, bottled water, pastries(what were those little donuts?? Delicious!), a plethora of snacks, robes, plenty of coffee, even the local shoppers card to get a bit of a discount at the local grocery- we were seriously left wanting for nothing. Staying at Tom's place was like staying at an old friend's place, you can tell this is what he loves to do and takes pride in it as well. Thank you Tom for a wonderful stay, people like you make the world a little brighter.

This was an amazing stay…and Tom was a great host! I wish we’d had more time to enjoy everything. It was easy to get to downtown Asheville…he provided so many personal touches…the beds were extremely comfortable AND the hot tub and its outside setting was perfect! Stayed with a friend while dropping off my daughter at Warren Wilson. Great proximity to the college. Very close to Black Mountain and Asheville. Nice neighborhood, very clean house, friendly host. Easy to find location.

Generous and warm hospitality!

Tom was welcoming, communicative, proactive and helpful from the day we booked. His directions and recommendations were helpful without ever being intrusive. Loved it!

This was a perfect home-away-from-home in a beautiful peaceful setting. The thoughtful touches and treats made us feel so welcome and I enjoyed the quiet serenity of the neighborhood and trees so much. The hot tub was fantastic, very well-maintained and positioned to take advantage of the view. We travel to Asheville often and we will definitely return here!

Wonderful place!

We had such a wonderful time at Tom’s place. It was absolutely beautiful. He communicated very well and gave us some recommendations. It was secluded and we loved sitting in the spa among the trees. It was also 10 to 15 minutes away from stores, restaurants, etc. He had a lot of little extra touches including wine and snacks. A 10 out of 10 and we look forward to staying there again.
