  • Come see the difference of a home owned and operated by locals. This is our only rental and we take great pride in it. Enjoy a relaxing vacation at our beautiful home nestled in the unique city of Hendersonville. Sit on the front porch and watch the White Squirrel's frolic in the yard or gather around the piano on the enclosed back porch. The house sits on two acres of land to watch nature or for the children to play. Nestled near town, White Squirrel Hill will give you the best of both worlds. It is located in a nice neighborhood that is close to downtown Hendersonville where you can find local restaurants, breweries, family-owned shops and The Ecusta Trail. A lifesaver that many of our guests value is our enclosed garage as well as two paved driveway. This can come in handy during rainy days. This feature along with many others are what keep our guests coming back on their yearly vacations. There are many personal touches throughout our home to make you feel welcome. We strive for you to feel at home. At White Squirrel Hill you'll only be approximately 30 minutes from Brevard, Asheville, Chimney Rock, and the Tyron Equestrian. Hendersonville is known for apples! During the fall, you can pick your own at one of the many apple orchards that can be found in Henderson County. If you chose to venture to Asheville you will find many great breweries filled with craft beverages. In our area there are also many opportunities to explore nature. DuPont state forest is a great way to see beautiful waterfalls and gorgeous views of the Western North Carolina mountains. If you have any special request please let us know and we will do our best to ensure you have an enjoyable stay. Come stay at White Squirrel Hill and see what all Hendersonville and the surrounding area has to offer!

Christmas Visit

The home was very welcoming, close to downtown, and we loved watching the white squirrels. The peppermint bear scavenger hunt in Hendersonville was a lot of fun.

Relaxing weekend.

We were attending a conference, and by not having to stay in a crowded hotel where all the noise was . It was perfect and quiet. We could come in and relax.

Lovely home

Our family had a winter weather emergency and the host was very accommodating, flexible, and kind to check on our needs. Perfect home for a large family(2 adults 4 kids). We would definitely stay again or recommend others do so as well.

Work Trip

Unfortunately it was a work trip and we did not get to fully enjoy the home - out at 7:30 am and back at 9 pm. Great little dinner - The Moose Café about a block and a half away. Location super convenient.

Nice place, quiet neighborhood

Well kept older home. Has all the amenities needed. Clean comfortable in nice quiet surroundings. If you are traveling with youngsters the one closest is full of toys.

Convenient and nice home close to I-26

A great place for our friends weekend. Home had everything we needed. The upper driveway was most convenient for unloading/loading. A nice quiet street, and we most appreciated the convenient location to I-26 for getting to our favorite shops, restaurants, and the apple orchard.

Absolutely delightful home :-)

We had a wonderful time in this comfortable and clean home. We loved the nostalgic decor and closest full of toys for my kids. we played basketball and ping pong too. It was a great "home base" for hanging out in Hendersonville and Flat Rock. We are already planning to come back next year.

Clean, spacious and quiet neighborhood.

Home was extremely clean, plenty of room, great get away. 5*** on everything. It was like being at grandmas for the weekend! Stayed at many rentals but this hits the top!! Krispy Kreme doughnuts were waiting for us. rom the first message to our departure the owner was awesome!!

Great VRBO, but issues with the owner

Both toilets overflowed during routine bathroom usage and I was blamed for it. Sewage leaked out of the shower drain as well. I think they might have a plumbing issue when multiple people use the bathroom at the same time. I was than charged $200 for something that was their plumbing issue. The property other than this incident was great. The garages are a great addition to the property for additional safety and the neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. I would stay again if I wasn’t going to be charged an extra $200 for something that wasn’t my fault.

Home Away from Home

Couldn't have enjoyed it more! Perfect for small family, the well manicured lawn was enjoyed by my 2yr old grandson and the squirrels and birds were delightful.....quiet neighborhood and close proximity to city!

Perfect for snow play

We rented this property when the forecast was for snow, so that or children could have a real snow experience. The back porch was perfect for snow clothes management! The yard is big and gave my kids plenty of play space to enjoy the snow.

Very clean. Great location. Good for seniors. Outdated decor

Very nice place. Spotless and clean. We have an 80 year old with us and it was made doe her. Decor is very dated and with just a little updating could be a fabulous place.

Home away from home...

We make yearly trips to Fletcher NC in Oct to attend the Southeastern Animal Fiber Festival, and Hendersonville is a preferred place to stay. This was a "new" place to try, but we'd definitely stay here again. The home was better stocked with kitchen items than any other place we've stayed, and all of the beds and linens were clean and comfortable. We weren't there much of the time, but enjoyed breakfast at the patio table on the front porch - where the view in the morning was lovely!

Visiting Hendersonville

Our stay was just wonderful. The place was welcoming and adorable. The house is off the main road enough to be in a quiet neighborhood, but close enough to be in town in under a few minutes. Main Street is less than a few minutes away. We really enjoyed our visit. I’ll definitely book this place when my Family comes to visit me while I’m moving into my New home. Thank you for everything 😊😊

Wonderful

We enjoyed our stay at your home...It was so lovely reminded me of my grandparents home. Seeing and feeding the squirrels and birds was fun. The added bonus was seeing the white squirrels because we have never seen them before. We would stay again when in the Hendersonville area. Thank you so much for the use of your home! Wonderful Vacation Home

We had a great stay at your wonderful home. Your house was very clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. Our grandchildren loved the toy room, piano and basketball hoop and ping pong table. We would spend some of our evening outside watching them play basketball and catching fireflies. We also saw 2 white squirrels. The location was close to everything. We did meet your husband Ray when he came to mow the lawn. Christy I loved how you decorated the house for the seasons as I do with mine. We would stay again for sure. Thank you Christy and Ray for all your help making our stay wonderful.

Hospital Visitation

Convenient to local activities as well as the hospital. Cozy, well kept property with lots of amenities including almost any kitchen small appliance you could hope for.

This house is just like the pictures - older home but very clean and well maintained! Everything you need is available and convenient. The owner is very responsive, easy to reach and thoughtful.
