I love the fact that most of the rooms have their own bathrooms! Even though the reception wasn’t the greatest it was nice bonding with the family! Would definitely recommend! Not to mention we enjoyed the jacuzzi.

This house did not disappoint! There were a total of 11 of us and our small dog and this house had everything we needed and more! The kitchen was generously stocked with everything you would need to serve a meal to a large family. The house was even more beautiful than depicted in pictures and we would 10/10 recommend! It was quiet and private and we completely enjoyed our time there!

Wonderful house, but off the grid

The main house, guest house and pool are amazing. The houses are well appointed and easily accommodated our family of 14. However, be aware that Cool Stream Lodge is off the grid. The internet service is very poor (when there is any service at all). Don’t believe Carolina Mornings when they tell you the internet service has been upgraded. I was told, in writing, we would have hundreds of Mbps. The best we experienced over our five day stay was 20 Mbps. This was grossly insufficient to support our family members that needed connectivity to work. If you’re looking to disconnect, this place is great, but if you are reliant on internet service and you don’t want to spend your day in an Internet cafe in Asheville, you should look elsewhere.

Nice but there were some issues

The property was really nice and the house was nice. There are just a few things that could be better. 1) The beds in the smaller house we not Queen they were full beds. Too small for adult males to sleep in the same bed. 2) The loft was so tiny that we moved the mattresses to the floor of the game room because no one wanted to sleep up there. Might have been fine for a child. 3) There were some ants in the rooms. Not a lot just a few. 4) The grill needs to be cleaned 5) The piano was out of tune - we had a piano player/singer in the group 6) The door lock ran out of batteries and we were locked out of the house for an hour until the management company got back to us. 7) There trash which is stored in the garage was stinking up the house. If we knew when the trash day was we would have put the trash out.

Family Vacation

Cool Stream Lodge is a beautiful property!! Well suited for large families (there were 13 of us!). The pictures don’t do it justice! Even more impressive in person!! The pool screams resort!! Everyone loved it!! Convenient to town and provides total privacy!

We loved our stay at Cool Stream! Great place to host with my group of friends. Only regret is the pool wasn’t open (apparently it’s only open from Memorial Day - Labor Day).

Beautiful Property made for Excellent Stay.

I stayed at this property with about 10 friends to celebrate a long weekend. The property is beautiful and looks just like it is advertised on the website. It was clean and everything was in working order. It is a bit of drive from downtown but we selected it for this so we had some privacy and to enjoy the nature. We all loved the stay and I would recommend this for any large group looking for an upscale rental experience.

Amazing Stay

We take an annual family vacation (three generations), usually to the beach but we decided to do something different this year. We are so glad we did. Cool Stream Lodge was perfect! Great house, great property, great location. We couldn’t be more pleased with our week away. Easy to book, great communication prior to and during our stay, and a property true to the listing. Perfection.

Beautiful property… loved the huge fireplace… stream running past the side of the house,.

Everything was great. Only exception… when I had trouble lighting the grill, I called… and the person who answered replied “I’m not on call this weekend. Did you download the app?” NOT COOL. No I didn’t download “the app.” I called looking for someone who could tell me why the grill wasn’t working. That was the only hiccup.
