Spend a thrilling afternoon at Alton Towers, 4 miles away, or while away a few tranquil hours in the National Trust’s Ilam Park, 6.5 miles away. Plan a day out to impressive Chatsworth House, 25 miles from your base, or hop on your bikes to follow the 13-mile Tissington Trail, which runs between Ashbourne and Parsley Hay.
