"Getting to the hotel is a winding drive through the mountains from Muscat. Wild donkees and goats along the way. They were building a new highway when we were there. The apartments are very nice with a view of the ocean. The furniture in the livingroom was sparse and very uncomfortable. Everything else was nice. The water pressure in the shower was amazing The breakfast was not buffet style like we expected, just a choice of two breakfasts. One with bacon,sausage , eggs toast orange juice...

"Für uns das beste Hotel unserer Omanreise, obwohl es nicht direkt am Strand war. Man wird jederzeit zum Hotelstrand "The Dunes" gefahren, der wirklich schön und bei uns immer fast menschenleer war.
Wir haben ein kostenloses Update auf eine Marina Suite bekommen und die war der Hammer. Überhaupt ist das Hotel mit so viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Das Frühstück war vielfältig und so lecker. "Mutrah central location is great for the touristic activities. For the remote Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, the reception was helpful in arranging a taxi. As the other review wrote, basement bar noise continued around 4 a.m. though I was on the 4th floor and the noise might have been bearable somehow. The reception seemed not familiar to the Expedia pre-payment arrangement. So, you may be better to have your Expedia booking confirmation handy. Hot shower needed more than 5 minutes to come out.
