Overall a good place if looking to stay in the area as there are limited choices. Access to house was via lockbox/key which was easy. House itself had plenty of room, with a spacious common room with fireplace as well as firewood/kindling/coal provided. Radiators in every room for heat, which was needed even during our summer stay. Short drive to the very small arthurs pass village as well as devil's punchbowl hike. Kitchen with a range, microwave, coffee bean grinder/french press (supply your own beans), fridge, freezer. It is a mountain house and is rustic; however even knowing this we were somewhat surprised by the feel of the house. My wife and I stayed on the first floor, where unfortunately we found several spiders/webs in the bathroom, several large ants on the floor, and a few other mountain bugs near the closed windows- this gave the feeling that it had not been thoroughly cleaned or occupied recently. Our friend stayed in one of the upstairs rooms and had a similar experience. The upstairs room also shakes a bit when walking (even for our 55kg friend who stayed in that room). At the end of your stay you'll have to take your trash to the dumpster that is down the street and across the main road (1 min walk from house). Overall for the area i think it is still one of the better places to stay given its proximity to the main attractions of the arthurs pass.
