Vacaciones perfecta

Hemos pasados unos días estupendos. Buscábamos un lugar para relajarnos en esta “nueva normalidad” tras la situación de estes que generó la pandemia y lo hemos conseguido. La vivienda es una maravilla, construida con amor y donde se ha cuidado todos los detalles para pasar unos días inolvidables. Volveremos.

Great Week in Arriate

We spent a week here in late September and appreciated all that the house had to offer. Surrounded by olive orchards and an impressive natural canyon reserve, the quiet and calm of the house’s location, minutes from Arriate’s non-touristy center, is a perfect antidote to the heat, hustle and bustle of neighboring Ronda and Setenil de Las Bodegas, each 15 minutes away by car. The house itself is lovely, with a large kitchen, large living and dining rooms, and many separate outdoor areas to retreat to in private. In terms of decor, the furniture was lovely and the beds comfortable. The pool is glorious, with an awesome view as well, and the landscaping lush. The host, Juan Miguel, was incredibly helpful and ever responsive, even meeting us at the house for a proper orientation. We would definitely recommend this house.

Our short stay in Ronda

We arrived close to 1:00am in the morning because of our flights (part of the family was coming from the US & the other from Germany). We notified Juan about our delays and he was very courteous, even though it was raining & very cold outside, still meeting us in a central location in order to take us to the home. We really appreciated it since we would've gotten lost otherwise. The home was beautiful! Even though we arrived at the beginning of March 2024, and not all the trees or flowers were blooming, we could tell it was beautifully landscaped & well taken care of (some flowers were blooming). The weather was a bit chilly upon arriving but the rest of the time was just right (sweater weather). Blankets, pillows, towels, and some basic toiletries were provided. There was a coffee maker, refrigerator, dishwasher, oven, washing machine (located in one of the outhouses). The pool area was gorgeous; the pool very clean and the sitting area had an oven, just wish it had been a little bit warmer for us to enjoy. Juan was very responsive to any of our needs, I would email him and he quickly answered. He was outstanding. The home is approximately 13 minutes from Ronda, 5 minutes to Arriate, and 15 minutes to the Setenil de las Bodegas by car. All three places we managed to visit, one day for each location. We were limited with time as we were traveling to Mallorca after this stay. The home is alarmed & surrounded by farmland.

Excellent séjour

Très belle location, très bien équipée et très propre. L’extérieur est très agréable, avec une cuisine extérieure, équipée d’une plancha, au bord de la grande piscine. Équipement audio vidéo au top! Les chambres et les salles de bain sont spacieuses. Tout est parfait! Un grand merci à Juan Miguel, disponible et discret. La ville de Ronda, à proximité (15 mn de voiture) vaut le détour. Quelques commerces à Arriate accessible à pieds. Pour le reste véhicule indispensable, le bord de mer est à 1h15 minimum, Séville à près de 2h. En conclusion, un excellent séjour dans un environnement verdoyant et soigné.

Beautiful villa

Really wonderful house with everything we needed. The pool was large and clean, with a great poolhouse including fridge and cooking facilities so we could while away much of the day by the pool. Great garden with a lovely pond full of frogs and fish, and a mini Alhambra fountain path which was so special lit up at night. Location is great, on outskirts of small town (our stay coincided with local fiesta, nice to see all the locals enjoying themselves) and loads to see and do in the area. Our host Juan was very helpful and attentive to any issues. Best place we've stayed in ages.

Family get together August 2022 - finally!

Great place to stay for adult families. Huge pool with outdoor kitchen area. easy to walk/drive into Arriate and Ronda a short drive away. We had stayed before in 2014 and planned to return in 2020, but finally got here this year. Very attentive host!

Fantastic place

Everything about our stay in this villa was absolutely wonderful. Juan Miguel was very attentive. He was always available and responsive. The pictures of the property do not do it justice. It was also very nice being close to Arriate, a cute little white village with some great little restaurants. We were a party of four adults. We rented bikes from cycleronda in Ronda and did rides in every direction. There is so much to see and so much diversity. We had an exceptional time and stayed at an exceptional place with a great manager. Thanks so much to Juan Miguel for sharing it with us. Randy and Jane

Maison très agréable

Très bon accueil, et maison très agréable à vivre. En novembre nous n'avons pas pu profiter de la piscine après 3 jours de pluie, mais elle nous faisait très envie. Elle doit être idéale l'été. A conseiller.

A Slice of Heaven

We were prepared for the pictures to have been a bit photoshopped...They are NOT. Everything is as it seems in the pictures. The home has all you could possibly need to relax and enjoy. The one negative we all agreed on was that our stay was too short. The grounds beautiful. We played cards by the pool, went for walks, took advantage of Juan's great personal suggestions to visit white villages and restaurants. Juan is an amazing host who made sure we were not bothered, but not wanting for anything. If Spain is ever in our future we absolutely will return to his Las Adelfas. (The Oleander)

Expérience andalouse réussie !!

Très beau séjour dans la villa de Juan, qui est au petit soin pour ses hôtes. Notre petite famille s'est sentie très à l'aise dans cette très jolie villa typique, le plus indéniable : la cuisine extérieure et la piscine où nous avons passé l'essentiel de notre temps: un vrai bonheur pour tous et notamment pour nos petits enfants 9 et 11 ans qui ont pu alterner les bains et les petits encas en toute liberté.... La petite ville d'Arriate est charmante et très authentique. Nous recommandons le restaurant Venta El Chozo, animé et chaleureux Bref, amoureux d'authentique....... N'hésitez plus !

Wonderful Spanish escape

We were lucky enough to stay at Las Adelfas recently, travelling with my husband, sister in law and 4 children (5,8,10,12). Kids lived in the beautiful pool all week and we ate in the covered kitchen area all the time. Peaceful and beautiful, just the trip we needed! Plenty of room in the house so we didn't feel overcrowded or on top of each other. Juan was responsive and helpful with recommendations for local trips and restaurants. Ronda is 10 minutes away and really interesting place to visit. Little Town of Arriate had everything needed for booze and food top ups. Amazing restaurant just by the train line.

Excellent!

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette maison, qui est parfaitement conforme aux photos de l'annonce. La maison est d'une propreté irréprochable, les équipements sont en très bon état et en quantité suffisante, la connexion Internet est très bonne. Les jardins sont magnifiques, la piscine est grande (environ 15 x 5 m), la cuisine et le salon d'été sont très agréables (plancha à gaz, évier et réfrigérateur/congélateur). Située à l'écart du village d'Arriate, la maison est isolée au milieu d'oliveraies, au calme et sans vis à vis. Enfin, un grand merci à Juan (et à son épouse que nous avons rencontrée en fin de séjour) pour son accueil chaleureux, sa discrétion, sa réactivité, son sourire, sa bonne humeur et sa gentillesse! Nous reviendrons!

En maurisk inspireret perle i det rigtige Andalusien

Vi nød til fulde vores eget lille slot med privat pool, stor nok til at svømme i. Vores vært Juan var meget imødekommende og hjælpsom da der var udfordringer med vandet i poolen og vandtrykket i bruseren. Huset er uden aircondition men det massive murværk holder huset køligt, så du med god CO2-samvittighed kan lægge dig til at sove. Køkkenets ovn har sit eget liv, så hold øje med den. Ideelt sted at holde ferie med et hold venner da der er rig mulighed for at trække sig til et fredeligt hjørne i den store have. Arriate ligger i gåafstand nede ad bjerget og byder på små butikker af alle slags. Lad dig ikke snyde af de uanselige facader som oftest blot er en dør. Her kan du nyde det ægte Andalusien med adskillige seværdigheder indenfor rimelig køreafstand. God fornøjelse

A nice winter stay

We came in February, so we did not use the pool and gardens as much as we would in other seasons. The house was clean and well cared for, and Juan Miguel was very responsive. A good value for a nice spot only 20 minutes from Ronda. Also great hiking trails just down the street.

Christmas in Arriate

This was one of the best places we have stayed! My husband and I took our 2 university aged children to Spain for the holidays. Juan Miguel was amazing to work with and he left us traditional Christmas cookies and drink. The house was beautiful - we felt at home spending our holidays abroad. We used the kitchen many times, especially to cook Christmas dinner -it has everything you need. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated - including a Christmas tree! Beds were comfortable and everything was very, very clean. The property is absolutely beautiful with lovely views. It is walking distance to the town of Arriate but also an easy drive for groceries. The town of Ronda, a must see, is only a 10 min drive. We used the villa as our home base to visit Granada, Cadiz, Estepona, and Tangiers! Highly recommend this villa - you will love it!

Wonderful Property, fantastic surrounds!

We had a fabulous time at this home and were really rather sad that our stay was so short. Juan Miguel was very friendly and gracious. He met us at the property (which is quite secluded but a very easy / short walk to Arriate) and gave us the tour of the place and let us know how everything works. Even though it was April the kids were dying to jump in the pool - but they got out faster than they got in as it's still warming up in Andalucia. The house is full of beautiful features (stained glass windows, domed tiled ceilings, marble floors) and is very tastefully furnished. Just down the hillside a few hundred meters is the entrance to a good hike (Arroyo de la Ventilla) that passes directly beneath the house. Ronda is just a 10 minute (tops) drive away and is great to visit. Also consider the Camonito del Rey (though try and book ahead, and only if your party is 8 years old or greater). The thing my kids loved the most was the pond at the back of the house which contained many goldfish. I guess we don't get goldfish back home like one gets in Spain! Thank you Juan Miguel for our wonderful stay. I hope we will be back.

Amazing property and setting very close to Ronda

We absolutely loved staying at this home. The property is incredible and lovingly managed by Juan Miguel. We only wished we could have stayed longer and hope to return some day. We had 7 people, ranging from age 6 to 69, and everyone was comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and fun to explore. We had an issue finding the home since part of the road was closed and it is really off the beaten track, but Juan Miguel helped us through it. Everything worked out perfectly in the end. The town of Arriate was also a nice place to visit. Warning the streets are very narrow and driving can be a challenge, especially if your car is not tiny. All in all, we would do it again. Thank you, Juan Miguel.

A spectacular villa in a gorgeous setting!

We had a very good stay here. It was clean and well set up, including basics for the kitchen. Close to Arriate and just a short drive to Ronda. We would definitely come back.

Attractive villa near Ronda

This villa offers an attractive alternative for those visiting Ronda who would prefer not to stay in town. Located just outside of the village of Arriate, 10K from Ronda, this villa has a lovely garden with wonderful fountains, as well as a swimming pool and a covered outdoor dining area with a grill. The property is surrounded by fully-grown hedges, providing a complete sense of privacy. Mountains can be seen to the west and northwest over the hedges and at the entrance gate. The villa is nicely furnished, though not extravagantly so. There are four bedrooms, one of which is upstairs with a separate sitting area. There are two bathrooms, one of which has a shower and the other of which has a tub, and there is also a small WC upstairs. We stayed for four days in October, using the villa as a base for exploring the "pueblos blancos" and spectacular countryside in this part of Andalusia. The drive to Ronda is short and easy, and there is abundant public parking, so there was minimal disadvantage from our standpoint in staying outside of Ronda and dropping in for dinner and sight-seeing. We wish we had more time to enjoy the lovely outdoor spaces at the villa, but alas, we had only a short stay and our days were too filled with activities to permit much lounging. The owner, Juan Miguel, is courteous and responsive. We have a few constructive suggestions for him but they are minor points that made no difference in our overall experience. It was a pleasure to rent from him.
