The cabin was great the only issue was the massive amount of snow that fell causing us to lose power and eventually the battery ran out of power. All of which was nobody’s fault. All in all the cabin was great and the fact that we did have power for 36 hours after PG&E went out was wonderful.

This is the second time we’ve stayed at this big tree getaway. We love the layout of this home, the huge deck & fun entertaining downstairs room that’s equipped with a pool table and huge big screen TV. This house has something for everyone. The neighborhood is very nice to walk around and all the neighbors are really friendly. I highly recommend this home!

8 over 10 stars # 1. Needs to be Spray for spiders. # 2 . Part of the freezer was dirty.# 3. needs to be cleaned around / under the stove and dishwasher too.. # 4. The toaster was nasty.# 5. Such a great, comfortable and beautiful house. We miss it so much. The main living room and deck are absolutely perfect and the bedrooms very comfortable. The downstairs "man cave" was phenomenal. Great sound system for watching movies with the fam, also great space for playing pool with the guys. Would love to go back.

Lovely setting in the woods

The house was wonderful! It was beautiful, with plenty of space for our family and in a location near Calaveras Big Trees State Park. We were ten people and there were large cooking pots and a well equipped kitchen. The deck was a highlight, spacious and looking out into the forest. The neighborhood was quiet and a pretty place to go for walks. One thing I was disappointed about was that when we got there, we found out there is no place to put garbage once the kitchen bag is full. Our host's instructions said the outdoor bear box/garbage receptacle was off limits; it said our choices for dealing with kitchen garbage were to either leave bagged garbage in our kitchen, or drive it down to the Avery Transfer station which was 18 minutes south. Since we were ten people staying five nights, it was not practical to walk around bags of garbage in the kitchen, which was also a thoroughfare. There was no other place to put it (outside not possible due to bears). I messaged the property manager thru the VRBO platform the second day of our stay to ask what other alternative there might be for garbage, but I never got an answer. I ended up driving some down to the transfer station, which was inconvenient, as it cut into our plans for the day. We also had some trouble with the lockbox jamming a few times and being hard to open. Other than these things, it was really an enjoyable stay!

Very great location and cabin located in quiet remote neighborhood. We enjoyed the closeness of visiting Big Trees and White Pine Lake. We had a relaxing time on the deck and enjoying the game room. High quality amenities in the cabin that perfectly supports 10 people. We had a blast.

Lovely cabin

We stayed here with 5 adults and 4 children and we had the perfect amount of space. The kids loved the bunk beds downstairs and the pool table was a huge hit for all. The house is in a nice neighborhood and about a 40 minute drive to the mountain. We had all the kitchen supplies we needed to cook. We used the grill, which was nice, however the propane ran out after one use. The cabin was clean and well stocked except for trash bags. The trash situation was a bit of a problem, I'm not sure why there was no bear box outside but the process for trash was to either leave it inside or take it to another location outside the neighborhood. Other than that we enjoyed our stay immensely and will hopefully return again next year.

Beautiful and Cozy Home - Everything you need and more

The house is situated deep in a peaceful neighborhood with other homes close but not too close. There were 10 of us and we had plenty of room to sleep. The house was equipped with everything we needed, including a potato peeler!

Great house in a sweet spot

The house was exactly as seen in pictures and very clean upon arrival. It was HOT during our stay and I was concerned as this property does not have AC, but the mangers were wonderful in that they purchased additional fans for us to use (they were in all rooms and some rooms had two!). Communication was easy and efficient. We really enjoyed the downstairs "game room" space as it was cooler and offered lots of entertainment (games, movies and the pool table)! We had a great stay, despite the heat!

The mountain house was spectacular. It accommodated all of our group (originally 9 but only 6 attended). The kitchen was of sufficient size, double refrigerator w/bottom freezer. Toaster & small microwave, good selection of mixing bowls. Plenty of pots & pans (although I'm glad I brought some various sizes of frying pans). Stove & outdoor grill was very nice. The dining table handled our poker game very well. The window shades for the clerestory windows was unique! I appreciated the recliner as my back pain does not do well in a regular bed. Game room was great w/full size billiard table! The outdoor deck & table & chairs are very comfortable. There is no A/C!, also no salt & pepper shakers? I met the young cleaning lady when I returned to retrieve some shirts & told her how clean everything was & we appreciated her efforts.

Weekend getaway

Celebrated our daughter’s 14th birthday in Arnold and boy did we enjoy our stay. The cabin was everything listed in the caption and so much more! Kitchen was fully stocked and all appliances worked. We felt at home and comfortable on all three floors. The decor was probably our favorite! We had so much fun finding all the unique lights throughout the cabin (very nice touch). Got good use out of the pool table as well. Well definitely be back.

Birthday Celebration!

Property was amazing and perfect for our group! Wonderful location! We loved the little touches of towels set out for us and basic toiletries stocked…:). Have already recommended this property to friends and family and look forward to using it during summer months!
