"Registration was cursory. Certainly not rude, just “fill in your details and here’s your key.” No offer of assistance for two seniors to carry suitcases up narrow stairs. No further information offered. Room was adequate. Shower is traditional British style - in a very high narrow tub, very dangerous for seniors in my opinion. Notice in room that no outside food allowed, and may result in an additional charge. Overall good value for money, but more of a two star than a three star hotel. "

"There were some lovely touches about the general accommodation such as pretty chandeliers, nice artwork and grand mirrors. We were in room 6 which was advertised as lacking natural light, this was fine, but the decor was so dark and such a dull lightbulb, it made the room feel so dingy. There was no plug point near the mirror, so doing hair was difficult. On the plus side the bed was very comfortable and there was a lovely big fan in the room to help combat the heat. "All staff were very accommodating and friendly including the reception staff. Nothing was too much trouble. A super hotel, unique in style, and situated right on the beach. Breakfast menu is vast with waiter/waitress service all looking continental and very chic! There is an ‘All Day Menu’ with delicious food to suit all tastes. We had a very relaxing stay and will certainly be back, Thank you to all at the Relais..,,.."

"El hotel en general está muy bien. Habitación amplia y limpia, lo negativo es que ha mi habitación no llegaba la señal correctamente, eso es un punto a mejorar. Enfrente de la playa y a 10-15 minutos del Pier y del centro andando. Desayuno típico ingles, con la calidad que hay en Inglaterra. Puedes aparcar por una libra al día en los alrededores del hotel con facilidad. Personal correcto."

"We enjoyed our one night stay in this historic pub, with free off street parking. Battle is a wonderful village full of history and we really enjoyed the evening exploring the town and enjoying the vista. The hotel is small, old and quaint. The room was small,but comfortable with a private bathroom with shower,along with complimentary tea and coffee. Would recommend this Inn for exploring this historic area of East Sussex."

"The grounds are stunning with so much potential but it feels very much a work in progress. We used paddle boards on the lake, which was fab but an additional charge on top of a very expensive room. The sauna wasn’t quite up to heat, we stoked the wood burning hot tub for a dip, tried the lake to cool off and the cold plunge was unfortunately empty. The room was nice and clean. I booked the junior suite but ended up getting a suite. It didn’t feel any more special than a deluxe room elsewhere...
