"Breakfast was very good. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Property is in need of some TLC, and could be an excellent venue. Gardens in need of de-weeding and some cutting back on trees, brambles etc."

"Well positioned in Cockermouth. Stairs upto bed rooms may be challenging for some guests. Easy parking, well stocked bar, pleasant communal rooms and garden. Best part of this hotel by far is the very welcoming friendly staff and superb breakfast."

"Difficult for the hotel as there was a power cut for quite a few hours following the storm"

Cooked breakfast was fantastic as was dinner … but … why oh why would you feature Nothumbrian sourced ingredients in the...

"Perfect staying with delicious food, staff are very friendly and helpful, 15 minutes walk to the beach, spacious parking"

"Booked a double room but got a room with 3 single beds. Not the end of the world but not what I booked. Beds were uncomfortable. The walls were wafer thin, you can hear the tap running and toilet etc from the room next door. Also the water in the bathroom made a right racket when you ran the tap, shower or flushed the toilet. Had an...
