It is an awesome location. Direct beach access, fires on the beach, fit the needs of our 3 generation family with the ensuites. Open concept kitchen/living area made making meals and having family time easier. The downstairs bedroom with the separate entrance was perfect for the family with the dog. Well stocked kitchen with lots of dishes. We didn't hear hwy 101. The kids loved the "Goonies" game! The Trex outside furniture was very sturdy. Bring your own chairs to take to the beach.There were some maintence issues: some soft spots on the floor of the deck off of the kitchen. The can lights in the game room, together with the hallway to the main laundry, didn't work, making the gameroom mostly unusable and the hallway dangerous to navigate because of the step that you couldn't see. We would have loved to vacuum the rug midway through but there was no vacuum cleaner.Garibaldi Charters Deep Sea fishing trip was worth it. We would book here again.

Just a fantastic home! Completely stocked with anything and everything you need. The home has been fully renovated and is stunning. The huge patio is perfect for watching the sunset and the hot tub was a great way to end each evening. Natalie is a fantastic host and you will not be disappointed with this house. We can’t wait to be back again!

The location of the pelican is wonderful. We have stayed many times before. I was not impressed this time with the cleanliness of the house. The bedding did not seem clean. It didn’t feel like they had vacuumed. There were dead bugs everywhere, and it was dusty. It just did not feel clean when we arrived. This house needs a deep clean. They definitely need a handyman to come in and fix little things just loose fixtures. The shower door in the upstairs bathroom is really loose and almost falling off the hinges. The BBQ was rusty and not appealing to want to cook on. The grounds around the house seem neglected and overgrown. Also the rug in the upstairs living area smelled of urine. It is sad to see such a beautiful home not being taken care of. Despite our issues with the cleanliness of the home, the home is well furnished and stocked for large groups.

Arch Cape Paradise

We have stayed here several times and it's terrific. The house is spacious and right on the beach. Bedrooms have private bathrooms/ beds are comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped. Large outside deck with hot tub is a plus!!

Great Family House

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the Pelican in Arch Cape. Being able to sit out in the hot tub on the deck and enjoying the view was a highlight. The location was perfect and walking out on the beach was a daily activity. In particular, our walk to Hug Point was very special.The house was perfect for our multi-generational family offering plenty of available space. Highly recommend!

This house was great for our large family vacation. The owner was prompt answering questions. The hot tub was not working, as was advertised on the listing, but she did refund some of our money, which helped make up for it. We would stay at this property again.

Magnificent house

This house is perfect for a large group (we had 7 people and a small dog). The rooms at large and spread out, so everyone has their own space in addition to the large open areas. The bathrooms are large with beautiful tile work and lots of light. The kitchen is better stocked with cookware than anywhere else I’ve ever stayed (there was even a Kitchenaid mixer!). We cooked all our meals there and decided it was even better stocked than our own places. That’s just the house—the view is fantastic! Good access to the beach but there are some rocks to walk over before you get to the sand. The only bummer was the hot tub wasn’t working while we were there but the host was very communicative and issued a refund for the trouble. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Home and Ocean Views for Large Families

This Arch Cape home had the most spectacular views right on beach. Despite a winter storm, we were able to enjoy the beach walks in the rain and then savor the new hot tub. The interior space is very comfortable with a gorgeous renovation of bathrooms and outdoor deck. This home has an ample living/kitchen space open to many family activities: cooking, games at large table, and room for 14 to hang out in the living space. Huge windows allow incredible light, views and amazing wave watching. Many toys are supplied for young children for indoor and outdoor play. Clever bunk room design with 4 comfortable queen beds. The free-standing tub was a relaxing addition to a main bedroom suite. The kitchen island promoted family food prep, chats and extra seating for eating meals. Two large bedroom suites with huge bathrooms are upstairs with the kitchen/ living room. 2 bedrooms with the media room share the lower level space. Even though the January weather was great for wild wave watching, we were able to take nice walks and play on the beach between the rainfall. It was especially nice to enjoy the hot tub and look forward to using the spacious deck on future visits.

We love the Pelican House - sit has become family tradition to stay every year. The kitchen is very well stocked, making cooking easy, and games and toys for kids! Natalie is very responsive. We will be back!

Beautiful property with disappointing upkeep.

First let me say this is beautiful property we had stayed at two other times so we’re excited to coming back.It had been probably 3 or 4 years .Things happen and we understand that but the lack of care and communicating problems in advance were numerous.Garbage wasn’t disposed of in recycle bins meant to be done so by the cleaners.The receptacle room was packed with garbage.In general we observed that woodwork and ,floorboards and doors were dingy.The downstairs bathroom was missing half of its shower door which was never communicated and should have been fixed for safety reasons before any guests paid to stay there .The towels and bedding was tired and their wasn’t enough.The paper towels and toilet paper which is stated are supplied was not enough for our group.The owner did have the cleaner drop some off so I give credit for that.The kitchen sink cupboards are in need of repair.The property was beautiful when we visited the first couple times but the love is lacking now which is really sad.With a little more care it could be back to the way it was.As we said in the beginning it is a beautiful spot and hope improvements will be made.

70th Birthday Celebration

7 girlfriends that have known each other 58+ years gathered to celebrate our 70th Birthdays. The location on the Oregon Coast was perfect for day trips in both directions. What a treat sitting in the hit tub and looking at the ocean
