All we hoped for

The Sunset Cove house was just right for a group of three adults hoping for a cozy family get-together at a lovely coastal location. The house had everything we needed, including a lovely beach view and all the comforts of home. It was great!

Stunning view

We enjoyed this quaint, modern, updated home with a stunning view of the Oregon Coast. The driveway is difficult and right off of the highway so please be careful.

Lovely private cabin with a romantic view

Very clean and updated house with a fantastic view. Steps down to a secluded beach can be a little steep so watch out, but once you're down you are likely to see very few people. We got to see spectacular sunsets and enjoy making dinner in a very well supplied kitchen. Looking forward to coming back again!

Wonderful Adult Getaway

Sunset Cove is now one of our favorite places to stay at Arch Cape. We loved this cozy little house with all its angles, deck and beautiful views. The house was spotless and so many nice amenities. Thank you! We especially loved cooking from the kitchen and reading on the deck with a glass of wine listening to the ocean below. There is a trail down to the beach- totally doable for adults, but not so good for little ones. One request would be to put screens on the bedroom windows so we could open them at night (not a fan of sleeping with bugs). But otherwise, we loved Sunset Cove! 💗

Little cottage on the hill

Amazing place with every kitchen amenity thought off with high end appliances and great grill and deck. View is beyond spectacular. House was very clean. Although this could sleep 6, the two BRs besides the MBR are tiny with zero room for more than one small bag. No dresser or closet in either room. There were just three of us and it felt cozy. A fourth would be okay but tight in my opinion. BUT private access to the beach which felt secluded.

Property was well laid out for area with great views. Hedges on wheelchair access to house needed to be trimmed as well as hedges on walkway to beach. Floors were sandy but not terrible. BUT the flies were non stop... do not know where they were getting in. Windows and doors without screens were kept closed but had probably 30 all the time in unit. Spent a lot of my time killing flies. They were annoying to the point that we would appreciate a day free. Thank you for your consideration. Best regards,

Magical Place

This place is very special. On a bluff, your own private path and it’s a very easy to walk down to your practically private beach that you have all to yourself. Blue dot design gorgeous hip modern such a beautiful place. Attention to detail……Gorgeous hiking through the trees and walks on the beach. My daughter loved the bunny rabbit that hangs out around the property. My son enjoyed fires at Cannon beach and local. My husband loved his morning runs on the hard sand from the back yard. I am a photographer and I enjoyed capturing the epic beauty of this phenomenal place. This house has everything you need and more. It’s very peaceful, a serene retreat where the ocean meets the sky. Also, fun to walk to hug point. Just so many incredible things to do here, a wonderful vacation. I would stay at this unique AMAZING property again top notch. Enjoy, much gratitude, The Taten’s

Location, location, location

Positioned on a cliff overlooking a beautiful beach, Sunset Cove is a special place. It's a steep walk up and down steps to the beach but we did it without too much effort. Mostly we drove a few minutes to Arcadia Beach for a magnificent beach walk to start our day. The house itself is beautifully appointed, with top notch appliances in the kitchen and laundry room,though we had to get used to there being no closets. We used extra hangers. Our contact, if we had any needs or questions was David Young and he was terrific. He answered every question quickly and satisfactorily. And when we were so inclined, it was a less than ten minute drive to Cannon Beach for restaurants and shopping. At the end of the day, we sat with a glass of wine in hand and watched the waves hit the shore. At night the sound of the surf put us to sleep. It was lovely.

The home has gorgeous views. The trees and shrubs have grown up a bit so somewhat limiting. The trail has been improved. There are screens on some of the windows now. Still no TV in the living room.The local AvantStay staff were wonderful and the home was very clean. I would suggest that the spices and canisters get labeled in the kitchen. Just FYI, my husband uses crutches and a wheelchair for mobililty. With the wheelchair ramp in the picture, we made the assumption that the home is wheelchair accessible and it is not (you can get into the house, but inside there are limitations). We took up the runners that we could as they did not work at all with a wheelchair. The floorplan made the wheelchair a challenge. No grab bars in the bathrooms. We made it work since he can walk with crutches. Just wanted you to know up front and not be surprised like we were. Their is no level ground on the property that we found so it also did not work for him to go outside except on the deck. And, once some of the furniture was moved, the deck was a nice place for him. Please note that the home was never claimed wheelchair accessable and it was a false assumption on our part, not the fault of the homeowner! The biggest drawback for us is the identity requirements from AvantStay including side and front view photos to prove who we are rather than just a picture of our license. The process was very intrusive and scary to think of the personal info in their database. I wouldn't do it again.

Perfect Oregon Coast getaway

We had a long weekend at this house with our three kids, and it was such a perfect place to stay. Really clean, well maintained, fully stocked kitchen (I mean fully! I think they had gadgets there I don’t even have in my kitchen, and I love gadgets). All the amenities were top notch. There was a minor issue with checking in: I had memorized the 4 digit check in code ahead of time, but when I punched it in, the door didn’t unlock. I tried several times. We had no internet to check if I had remembered it incorrectly, and couldn’t call because there was no signal. We had to get back in the car and drive 20 minutes down the road to find signal: the code was right. Drove all the way back to the house, put the code in, but had to apply a little upward pressure and jiggle the handle while putting the code in. We finally got in, but it was stressful to be locked out after a 5 hour drive with kids. But the rest of the weekend was awesome! The beds were SO comfy, the views were amazing, the location was perfect. The beach access was so cool, and it’s just a short drive to Manzanita for groceries or restaurants. We’d definitely book here again. It felt like a home away from home. The kids were very, very impressed at the goodie basket left for us 😄 A very minor thing was that the grill could use a little maintenance, but that’s to be expected on the coast: the elements are harsh on things like grills. Lots of fun games available, and we had some great game nights. 5 star stay!

Easy access through the front door. The view did not disappoint from the pictures and the kitchen was very well stocked with all of the appliances and utensils you could want. Also the grill had propane and the added board games shelf was great!
