"What a lovely home in a great location just five minutes in car from Hokitika Town. Very spacious home and it was lovely and warmwith the log burner and heat pump. Beds so comfy and warm, we had the best sleep! Hosts very communicative and friendly. Go do the Hokitika Gorge walk and the Tree Top walk . "We loved our stay in the Blackhouse Cottage, and wished we could have stayed longer. It was gorgeously appointed and well set out. The beds were super comfortable and we were snug and warm in the cold. So cozy and the perfect place to unwind and relax. We would stay here again and again. "

"Amazing spot, sleeping to the sound of the waves. We had an outdoor tub and once it stopped raining, we took advantage of it and soaked in it. The only “bad” thing was the carpet in the bathroom; it has a moldy smell, probably because it gets wet and doesn’t quite air out. Other than that, wonderful stay! Also, Sue was very helpful with our late check in and communication. "

"Extremely comfortable with everything we needed. Very easy communication and checking in procedure. A lot of thought and attention to detail throughout the home. Was lovely to find milk and drinks in fridge and chocolates and cookies provided. Such a kind and thoughtful gesture. Walking distance to Monteith’s brewery where we had a fabulous evening. Would definitely recommend this property."
