Can’t beat it! Location is best on the island. Owner is very responsive. Views and property and stunning. Only negative was no heat on chilly October nights a space heater would’ve been perfect but still an A stay!

Beautiful and charming home in a great Aquinnah location. Colin was a wonderful host—responsive and communicative throughout our stay. The house was cozy and generally well-kept, though, for a late season stay, it’s primarily heated by a fireplace, which can be a bit tricky to keep going overnight. Convenient if you’re staying in Aquinnah, about a 35-minute drive to Edgartown.

This was our second time staying at this amazing cottage - and we cannot wait to return! The cottage was very clean, has everything you need and is in the perfect location. Just what my wife and I needed. Peace and quiet with beautiful views of the ocean and sunsets.Tucked in the woods on a nice high hill, the rooftop deck had about 180 degrees of ocean views.The property owner, Colin was extremely quick with responses to any questions, before and during our stay.Will definitely go back to this property.Thank you for a great stay.

Amazing time

The house has great historical charm, is immaculate with and incredible view from the roof-deck. My favorite room is the dining/livingroom. Huge room with full view of the outdoors and a fabulous stone fireplace. The location was just what i was hoping; quiet, beautiful and spacious.Loved it!

Beautiful Location

We enjoyed our time here. The house sits is in a very quiet landscape. Remote and relaxing. Just what we have been looking for. Quick drive to beautiful beaches and the cliffs near Gays Lighthouse. Highly recommend this gem.

Aquinaah is awesome!!!

Property was as described and the vacation was as prescribed. The home is perfectly secluded on a large (2 acres ??) lot. Views of the sunsets and lighthouse were very nice. The home is humble but comfortable. We did not use the kitchen outside of making coffee but seemed to have what we needed. We didn’t turn on the tv but enjoyed the fireplace. We found spots to read and relax throughout the home. Our pup loved running around the huge property. The neighbor’s collie came by each morning to check on us. A really low key spot to just hang out and enjoy. And we did.

No HEAT - off-season renters be aware

If you are staying off-season - there is NO HEAT!! It was 40°F at night and we had a 1 yr old… deceiving write-up did not mention no heat, yet they are renting in October in MA, and did have a high level of details like provides toilet paper and paper towels!! House seems like it would be great during summer… but we could not stay there and host was not open to financial discussion on this - sadly it ended with us without a place to stay.

Piece of paradise

My sister and I spent five days with my parents in this cottage in early October and we loved every minute of it. The views are just breathtaking, and the living/dining room with the fireplace was our favorite spot. It’s a short drive or 20 minute walk to the lighthouse, and at most a 40 minute drive to get to pretty much any other place on the island. We loved the seclusion and being away from everything.

Fantastic beach cabin in a nice location, close to Gay Head lighthouse and several beaches, including the dog-friendly Lobsterville. Good views, plenty of land, we had a good time!

Outstanding property with up island charm

Impressive property, perfect layout for socializing. Suited our group of seven perfectly plenty of room for large meals inside and out. Very well stocked and clean. The views speak for themselves.

Annual family reunion

This was our second year staying at the property and the experience was just as great as the first time. The three grandchildren (ages 12, 6, 3) had plenty of running around room on the beautiful lawn as adults watched from the deck. On the occasional rainy day they were inside playing games or working on craft projects on the long dining table. I would highly recommend staying at this property - Thank you again Colin for a memorable time for our family!

Peaceful spot with beautiful ocean and lighthouse views!

We could not have had a more relaxed two weeks! Colin was a tremendously responsive host and we truly appreciated his hospitality. This property is beyond compare if you want privacy and ocean views, easy access to beaches and trail walks. The stone fireplace was a grand spot to sit around in the evenings and reflect on the day. Would absolutely rent this property again!

Beautiful peaceful location

We absolutely loved this private location with large yard and beautiful scenery from the two decks. The house was well equipped and comfortable; it had everything we needed. We really enjoyed the fireplace on some of the cool evenings! Colin was wonderful to interact with -very responsive and helpful!

Family reunion

Our stay in Aquinnah was wonderful - in spite of the off and on again weather. The house was very comfortable and worked very well for our multi generational group: 4 adults, 1 five year old, 1 two year old, and 1 eleven year old. It actually exceeded our expectations - the pictures do not do justice to the property and the interior spaces. We enjoyed cooking and eating most meals at "home". Lobsterville beach - a five minute drive is terrific, kid friendly and lovely. I would highly recommend staying at this property - Thank you Colin for a memorable time for our family!
