"Did a small girls night here and we had the best time! Out there and quiet for a get away and plenty to do inside for colder weather we loved the bookshelf full of board games and books and the piano to tinker around on! The gas fireplace kept the whole place cranking with heat no problems Definitely would stay here again!"

"We really enjoyed our stay in this Civil War era home. Very clean with plenty of towels and soaps. It had a good location in Sharpsburg. We walked to the bakery (twice), the ice cream shop and the library. Easy access to the Antietam Battlefield. Appliances worked as expected. We have stayed in numerous period homes and this home was by far the best equipped for preparing meals in the kitchen. Wi-Fi was very good and strong throughout the home. Great place to stay in Sharpsburg."

"The host did not respond to messages before we checked in. At check-in the backdoor to the house was unlocked and opened. When we got into the house, there was rotten and expired food in the fridge, stuff all over the counters, dirty dishes in the sink and dishwasher, dirty laundry in the washer and on top, and there was no heat. "Host was welcoming and helpful. Responded quickly to bringing salt for freezing/ice on the steps. Had minor issues with backyard not being fully fenced in or access to a porch light for cleaning up poop. Bath and toiletries are available and well labeled, however brands/scents aren't labeled. I'm allergic to lavender so I couldn't risk using any. "

"Cool location in town! We enjoyed visiting nearby antique shops, museum, coffee shop, and diners. I loved the front porch sitting. It was a short drive to historic Harpers Ferry. The kids enjoyed the games and books. The beds were super comfy. The bedding was clean and soft. I slept well, even though you can hear the trains working through the night. That added to the charm. The bathroom was gorgeous with exposed bricks and the shower had a rain shower head! Kim and Todd were excellent hosts. "
