After returning to Villa Angelos for a second time. we we're pleasantly surprised to see the pool had been updated and was now tiled with steps down into the water. there's not quite enough sunbeds and umbrellas if you were a party of eight.. but i'm sure extras could be asked for as Mark the manger is very obliging. The terrace is well furnished with a huge table chairs, enough to seat 8 people comfortably, there is also a rattan sofa and chair ,its ideal to sit there to escape from the heat of the sun! also a large BBQ sits across the the corner of the patio if you feel inclined to use it !!!
Inside the villa is also well furnished with two leather sofas a coffee table and a side table,a small TV is mounted on the wall along with disc player and satellite box, another table and chairs for indoor dining .it has good lighting with fans attached a breakfast bar separates the lounge from the kitchen ..which is on the small side but very well equipped with everything you could wish for and all of good quality, from cutlery to china and pots and pans, downstairs shower room with a wash machine and double bedroom , suitable for the elderly or disabled with access directly onto the terrace.
Upstairs there are three further bedrooms ,1 master double bed & 2 with twin beds, a bathroom with shower & bath.... the bed linen is of a superior quality cotton, also the towels.. no complaints there.
Almyrida is not far away 5 mins in a car or a steady walk down takes about 25 mins,You must have a stroll to the village of Gavalahori Its about 15 mins walk its a typical Cretan working village ,there are good taverna's here and the food is very good in all of them.I would definitely recommend Angelos it is the best Villa we have stayed in.The Villa is an ideal base for exploring the island 20 mins to the main highway and the island of Crete is yours..
All in All the Villa Angelos is well situated, nestled in the olive grove, its peaceful, with wonderful views of the white mountains and the surrounding foothills.. its well presented inside and out ... lots of traditional villages short drives away and of.course the beautiful Venetian Port of Chania , with its picturesque streets and nooks and cranny,s is well worth a visit ...
