True to the pictures and description. We had a lovely stay at Villa Mathis. Clean, spacious and really comfortable for 2 families (4 adults and 4 children). The pool and the air conditioning throughout were a must with the heatwave. Eric was the perfect host, friendly and welcoming, easy to contact throughout the stay. We would definitely recommend to others.

A Dream Getaway for a Special Celebration!We were a group of eight mature women visiting Antibes to celebrate a very special 70th birthday — and Villa Mathis was simply perfect for the occasion.From the moment we stepped through the door, we were blown away by how beautiful, serene, and impeccably maintained the villa is. Every room is tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean, and well-equipped with everything we could possibly need. The layout worked wonderfully for a group our size, with plenty of space to gather together as well as quiet corners for relaxing.What truly made our stay exceptional was the warm hospitality of Eric, the owner. He is an absolute gem — welcoming, kind, and genuinely invested in making sure we had a wonderful time. Eric couldn’t do enough for us, and his thoughtful touches made all the difference. We felt completely at ease and thoroughly looked after.The outdoor space is equally magical — ideal for morning coffee, long lunches, and sunset toasts. Whether we were lounging by the pool or enjoying the peaceful garden, we felt like we had found our own private paradise in Antibes.We cannot recommend Villa Mathis highly enough. It was the perfect setting for our celebration, and we’re already dreaming about coming back!

Wonderful House and quiet location

We had a very nice stay in Erics house. The house is very well equipped and we havent missed anything. Antibes is a good location in order to start sightseeing tours from there. Having a rental car is nice to have, but not mandatory. Bus- or train connections are available and stations are not far away. Eric is very helpful and sooo friendly! We felt very good over there. Thanks again, Eric, and à bientot. Many Greetings from Frankfurt.

The Whole Package!

A great villa with everything you need in a perfect location near the sea and amazing towns (plus right next to bus stop and close to two train stations for easy access to anywhere you want to go) hosted by the extremely helpful Eric and translator Ylan. Nothing was a problem from arriving to leaving. Everything was spotless including the pool and outside bar and seating/sunbathing areas. Very private with a drive to keep your car safe behind an eletric gate. Would definitely book again if we return to the South of France.

Antibes-Monaco F1 visit

Had a great week in Antibes using the house as a base for going to Monaco on the train for work and F1. Then had a lovely few days holiday when the family joined us. Host was excellent on communication from arrival to departure. Garden and pool area lovely, house has everything you need

Great villa

Eric was the perfect host, providing clear directions for check in and out, a comprehensive manual and was on hand by text for any other questions. The villa is very comfortable and the outside area is great. We stayed home and cooked several nights, you have everything you need in the kitchen and a great bbq grill too. The pool and jacuzzi are wonderful and beds are comfortable. Would highly recommend!

A lovely week.

We have just returned from a wonderful week in Antibes staying at Villa Mathis. The Villa has a great sized pool and hot tub and the internal deco is of a high standard. The location of the villa is really useful for trips into all areas of Antibes and is only around 20 minutes from the Airport at Nice. We did day trips to Monte Carlo, Nice & Cannes and it was all very easy and straight forward. The Train was also very close. Eric was a great host and was in regular communications with us. Nothing was too much to ask. And the icing on the cake was the home made Pissaladière made for us. Overall I’d highly recommend Villa Mathis and would love to return.

Fantastic property

We had the most wonderful holiday in Eric's villa. Nothing was too much trouble for him to assist with. We arrived to a very welcome cold drink at the outside bar from our host. The villa was simply beautiful and perfect for our family. It is in a quiet area, but you can still walk into Antibes within 25 mins. The airport also is only a 20 min drive away. The villa was very clean and had everything we needed to cook and be able to chill out. There is a small supermarket a 5 min walk away, and also the larger Lidl is a 5 min drive away (that is definitely much cheaper than the large Carrefour). The hot tub was such a treat to enjoy after a day exploring the area. I would recommend seeking out the beautiful smaller villages in the area such as Biot (5 min drive) and St Paul de Vence (30 min drive) - that was just the most beautiful village with lots of little shops, restaurants and art work. We would go back in a heartbeat. We are so grateful to Eric for helping to make the stay so perfect for us.

Superb Antibes Villa

The villa was wonderful. Well equipped, lots of storage. The beds were super comfy with good quality clean linen. The outside facilities were amazing, the pool, spa, fun outside bar area and kitchen. We had a most relaxing and comfortable stay. Eric, the host met us with a warm welcome and full overview of the villa and local knowledge. Easy to use the bus into Antibes with then excellent access to the train network. Overall excellent villa and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Two week family vacation in Antibes

This home had everything we could have asked for. the convenience of a washing machine, a pool, a jacuzzi, air conditioning (a necessity for us), a full kitchen, and enough bedrooms and bathrooms for the five of us to live comfortably. Eric, the owner, was very accommodating and a very gracious, kind host. We highly recommend this home for your vacation. The location was perfect as it's close to everything we wanted to see. We enjoyed our stay here.

Très belle villa pour des vacances en famille

Nous avons passé des excellents vacances (7 personnes) dans cette magnifique villa à Antibes. La villa Mathis est très spacieuse, la cuisine est parfaitement équipée, les chambres et salles de bain privés sont également dans un excellent état. Les points forts de cette villa : la terrasse, le BBQ, jacuzzi et la piscine. Le contact avec le propriétaire était très agréable: Eric est d'une énorme gentillesse. We enjoyed our stay very much

Eric and Claudia were very welcoming and informative when we arrived and were available via Whatsapp during our stay. The house, garden and pool were beautiful, private and clean with everything we could want provided, including plenty of outside sunny & shaded seating and a useful bike for short trips to the shop. Gated parking is available within the property for a car or the train station for trips up and down the coast is a 20 minute walk away. We preferred to use taxis/uber which were usually a 15 minute wait for comfort €€ as standard € cars were rarely available. It might be useful to future guests to be aware this and have some tips on taxi/uber/bolt usuage. An additional single bed was supposed to have been provided in one of the rooms but this didn't materialise and we used the bunk bed room instead. I might also mention that the fridges could have been turned on earlier to ensure they were cold on arrival. Overall, we were very happy and had a great time in Antibes. Would definitely recommend this villa!

Villa Mathis

My family and I stayed at this wonderful villa for 10 days recently and I honestly have nothing bad to say about it. The communication from Eric right from the start was brilliant and nothing was too much trouble for him, he just wanted us to enjoy up our holiday. The villa itself is very modern and fully air conditioned with all facilities provided like towels and a fully kitted out kitchen with everything you need. The outside area with the pool, various seating areas, bar and jacuzzi were amazing. It is very private and quiet and we spent many days of our holiday just chilling and relaxing here. We had a fantastic time and were sad to leave but hope to return again in the future. Thank you again Eric for letting us stay in your beautiful villa.

Beautiful holiday home.

We stayed at Villa Mathis for a week in June 2022 and were super satisfied. From the villa's facilities to the service provided by Eric and his team, everything was perfect. We had never experienced such great facilities. Everything was there, even more than what is in the description. We were greeted with cold drinks. We were all very impressed and would spend our next holiday in southern France there again. Eric and his team also drove us to the airport after our vacation. We are happy to recommend the villa and wish you a lot of fun with Eric.
