The property is gorgeous and clean. Anytime we needed something the host was very responsive. The pool alarm took a minute to grasp and we set it off a couple times. Any minor issues and maintenance was out within 30 mins to assist/fix. The washer dryer seemed brand new. Along w all appliances. Easy to use. The couch was comfortable and someone could def sleep on it There is a beach across the street, nice for early morning walks. The sand on this beach contains shells and rocks. Not ideal for little kiddos if with the family, but the pool at house was excellent. There is a shallow pool area in the left end. There is sun and shaded areas. There is beach equipment and a cooler on site. There are a handful of other beaches to go to for day in close proximity! Restaurants are close. Ubers are easy to obtain. There is a trolly that also runs through the island. The only negative we had was no back up toilet paper. I know house is only stocked w starter things, but i recommend grabbing a couple when grocery shopping!

Nice house … But

The house was nice, could use a bit of a better cleaning, just don’t wear white sox. The inside was done nicely, comfortable, and tasteful, Loved having the view of the water and the proximity to walk out the front door to the beach was wonderful ( although during the day gets quite crowded) loved Seeing the sunrise with morning coffee and can even catch the edge of the sunset at night, easy walk to see the full sunset . The downfall , which is specifically why I rented this home was the pool . It was filthy and not heated ! I called and asked for a cleaning which they did not get there until Thursday , we are had to leave on Friday . The pool was too cold to swim in . I specifically wanted a heated pool . I paid for a house with a heated pool . I feel I should get some bit of a refund for not being able to enjoy that part of staying in this home .My other complaint is, I am a wine drinker, a wine snob to a point . There are no wine glasses ( fortunately I do travel with one of my own fine wine glass ) and when traveling with kids, there is no plastic. We had to go to Walgreens and buy kids plastic cups for their milk and juice . The glasses in the cabinet were just a bit too heavy and with tile floor did not want to risk them dropping . Lastly there was no basement , no ping pong table or foosball, no beach items so the photo of the basement is not accurate .There were 4 beach chairs and a small lil’ buggy, problem was gate was locked and had to drag these things up the

We had a great time! Was not aware I had booked both sides so we didn’t have the talk time we usually have but we were on the go so much it was not a problem. The host is terrific! I forgot a bag and it was returned to me with nothing missing. Totally appreciate that

A great location on a beautiful island.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for us, with easy access to the beach and bay. The house was cozy and had an ideal layout for our group. The only negative I would say is that it felt minimally stocked.

Nice rental

Thank you for letting us stay at your property. We had a wonderful two weeks and would stay again. The view of the water is really nice. It was loud though with non-stop construction (no fault of the rental owners!) and groundskeeping at the park across the street. As mentioned in prior review, initial code provided to us didn’t work. Fortunately agency responded quickly and provided a different access code. The unit is decorated nicely. I wouldn’t say it’s a warm/inviting place, but the decor is nicely done. There were a lot of missing essential items (spatulas, oven mitts, small plates, sufficient spoons, and more), but 5 stars to rental agency which brought us all new items on a Sunday!! The bedrooms, baths, beds were all great! No hooks to hang towels in some bathrooms. Areas where a few things still needed from recent remodeling - like the final walkthrough and/or fixes haven’t been done. Biggest issue why we didn’t give it 5 stars is that we never had a functioning clothes washer, and we were there for 2 weeks! The agency’s repair person came and tried and needed to have someone come from vendor. That never happened. I asked the company to pick up our clothes to wash but they didn’t respond. I hope they have it fixed for future renters. Overall a nice place.

AMI Newbies

Bay Happy was a wonderful home base for our first visit to AMI. Fantastic, proactive communication from AMI Locals. Alerted before our stay that there would be a required city inspection of the house our first morning. Also checked in with us when homeowner's contractor needed to deliver supplies to garage. Checked in to be sure we'd arrived and all was well. The first door code didnt work, but was resolved within minutes via phone call. Clear and thorough check out instructions. The home is tastefully decorated, clean, and comfortable. Exactly as shown in pictures. All beds were declared to be "very comfortable." Back yard is private, pool temp pleasant. Easy walks to Pine, the piers, Bean Point; our group enjoys walking 2-3 miles at a time, several times a day. Short drives to other beaches, e.g., Manatee and Coquina. Only a park across the street between home and the Bay. Balconies/decks are great for group visiting, or solitude. Quiet neighborhood, not much traffic. Customer service top notch at shops and restaurants. Minor suggestions would be to add hangers if possible...only the main bedroom had hangers which we divied up to other closets. And, several of us wished for a full length mirror. We enjoyed this home and would not hesitate to book again. Overall great experience.

Great setting but house needs a lot of attention

The location of the house was great! Unfortunately it is in a state of really poor repairs that are unfinished and honestly should be corrected ASAP. The listing should state the true condition of the house. Also when we arrived there were bottles, cans and broken glass around the pool in the landscaping. There was very little beach gear etc. which normally we have had better equipment in all of our previous rentals. This house can really be nice and probably was at one time. I would not stay here again and we were all really disappointed. We stay in the area several times a year through VRBO and this is the first time we have had this happen.

Hurricane idal

I would love to say I enjoyed my stay but unfortunately due to hurricane Idal that was not the case. The house and area was beautiful and check in was easy, however, we weren’t even there for 24 hrs before mandatory evacuation. I did not buy the insurance since I booked this in January and did not think about a hurricane. So whatever you do BUY the insurance not matter what. I was hoping since it was a MANDATORY evacuation that AMI would work with us maybe book us for next year or give us 50% off for next year but they will NOT work with you and will only say you should have bought the insurance. So please be aware if you book with AMI

The perfect getaway

A wonderful home with access to a ton of things to do. The pool was perfectly heated, beds comfortable and home layout was great for parents and kids. Recommend reserving a golf cart for your full stay!

Great location and the perfect accommodation for 5-6 people. Quiet area. Easy access to the beach. Pool area somewhat small for 5-6 people. Not enough of lounge chairs, only 2. Not enough of porcelain for 5-6 people eating home made dinners ( appetizers Plus main course and dessert). Great outdoor grill. Property management very helpful.

We just spent 10 days in this amazing home. The place was even better than what we expected. Great with the small beach across the road for s morning swim. They had everything you need for a nice day at the beach. Quick response from the property managers when we had any questions. Would love to come here again.

Great house for a large group.

Great house and location, walking distance to shops and trolly. Beach directly across the street. Built in pool was excellent for relaxing in. A few minor issues that were quickly resolved by property management who kept in constant contact with me. We had a great time during our 10 day stay.
