Recommend for large groups

We had a wonderful week. Management fixed the missing garage door while we were there. The hot tub did not work, we did call to let management know, when leaving spoke with pool person to let him know as well. Our group wanted to support the local community after the hurricane and continue with our trip to AMI.

Perfect location

We have just returned from a one week stay at Blue Bay and it was wonderful. There were 2 families staying here and we had lots of space. We were concerned about how much sun/shade there would be around pool but this was not an issue at all. It does need a little bit of TLC but a coat of paint is all that it really needs and did not spoil this fabulous property. The location was perfect and we enjoyedthe sunrise in the mornings and storms over Tampa bay in the afternoon/evenings. Trolley Bus connected us to any part of the island but was only a short 15 minute walk to Bean Point. Would definitely recommend this place.

The kitchen doesn't have many tools, most of the pans are small. the guest house has a very strong smell, like houses that are closed for a long time. There is no bathroom in the pool area and the beach in front of the house is not good. If you want to go to the beach you have to go by car

Dirty and Ran Down

The pictures of the property are older. The furnishings are beat up and old. The beds are rock hard and the sheets were ROUGH!! When we arrived, the property had been checked by someone who signed off and left a note that everything was perfect, but the pool was FILTHY and the floors in the house were gritty with sand. The AC was not functioning at all. The baseboards and trim have a years worth or more of dust on them. When we went to go to bed the first night, two rooms had visibly dirty sheets on them - one was full of sand and another had a brown crunchy stain. Disgusting situation. The property management company did get the AC “fixed” before we went to bed the first night, but it would not cool below 79-71 degrees and the humidity stayed very high in the house. They sent someone the next day to change all the sheets. They were responsive to our requests, but for what we paid these items should never had been an issue. The house was not stocked very well with any supplies-one dish towel and one dish cloth for the kitchen. No pot holders. Not enough silverware for one day of meals. The front door handle was in bad shape and took work to get it to latch and lock every time it was opened. Several of the kitchen cabinets were broken and drawers in the freezer were broken. The TVs in several rooms did not work. Many light bulbs in the house were burnt out and the lights would flicker throughout the house. The main TV in the living room had cable, but it kept cutting out.

Beautiful property

We loved this property. Individual family members had their own space but there was adequate room when we all gathered together. The pool and hot tub were well maintained and very private. The teenagers in our group used it non stop. Would definitely consider renting this property again if we return to Anna Maria.

The noisiest vacation I ever had

The noisiest vacation I ever had, AMI rentals should have told me that there was construction going on right next-door to me right across the street for me and right down the street for me, property was very beautiful but you couldn’t even sit in the Jacuzzi or the pool without the loud sound of saws augers running buckets on machinery banging all the way until 615 at night. So I spent 4000+ dollars on a beautiful home that I couldn’t even enjoy because of all the construction going on next-door to me and across the street from me and down the street from me. I feel that AMI Reynolds should have mentioned that in their ad . Do yourself a favor save your money go somewhere else, instead of that island.

It was the perfect place to safely celebrate my birthday during Covid.

The house was spacious, cleaned, the appliance were clean and working. Plenty of towels were provided. The kitchen had all the tools needed. The only thing was the grill by the pool. It was not cleaned and regardless of us trying to clean it, it needed deep cleaning, the flame was dim. It took four hours to get our wings cooked.

Overall good place, needs some work.

The overall house was good as far as location, fitting the need of our group, and overall cleanliness. It was perfect for our group of friends with kids of all ages! The problems that we had were more about the management company just not really being ready for the next group. We had several issues that were common throughout reviews, I had even called prior to our stay and voiced concerns over the recent reviews. I was assured that the problems had been resolved. The management was very quick to fix all the problems, but it seems that there is a lot of temporary fixes jus to get through in the moment. Some of the larger problems we had were our pool was not clean and needed some work, the hottub wouldn't heat properly, even after someone came to work on it, the washer had a horrible smell(they did come and fully replace the washer). Little things that if the management company had a list of things to check in between guest could have been caught and would have never been issues for us, like pool remote missing(which controls the whole system), several TVs unplugged and cords removed/unplugged, internet did not work because they had the wrong info listed in the check in book, TVs in the guest house wouldn't work at all because they had an additional internet problem. All of these things occurred and were fixed with in the first 3 days of our trip, so we were able to enjoy the rest of the week.

Great stay. Interestingly enough there were no bathrooms near the pool. We tracked through the house to the main floor. Also, why is Living Room furniture fabric and outdated? Would stay again, but for the price one would expect higher quality rooms.

Relaxing

This property is great for a relaxing getaway from 2020 lol the pool area is ideal and the house and mother in law suite are perfect for a large party of people. Great view if the skyway bridge and bay as well. We will be back!

Not clean! Needs updating,repairs.

This property needs major work. We tried to move to another property but all the houses that would accommodate our party was sold out for the week. The only positive I have for this house is the location. The property managers are also great, they tried to help us as much as they could. Problems: The property was EXTREMELY dirty, we needed a second cleaning crew to come in and clean the house and that wasn’t enough. We had to clean the house ourselves. All the furniture is dirty and stained. No room has locking doors. The room with bunks has a humid smell, dull light, no fan. The beds are very hard and uncomfortable. Linens were dusty and disgusting. The jacuzzi needed to be refilled everyday, might have a leak. Towels were stained and dirty. The AC does not seem to work very well, it was extremely hot and humid, We had to go out and buy Standing fans to put In each room!!!!! The main water drain broke and we had no water for most of the day. I have pictures and messages for everything listed. Property managers helped by sending a repair man to try and fix AC, and they did send a second cleaning crew.

Anniversary Celebrations

Our family really enjoyed our first time on Anna Maria Island and this property fit the bill for all our needs. From the guest house, to the pool, to the large kitchen and great room space, we couldn't have asked for more.

Unexpected

We were a bit unsatisfied with the cleanliness of the property, several issues upon arrival. We also had issues with the hot tub not heating, which they took care of immediately. The king bed in the master bedroom was broken, they also came and fixed that. The dish washer bottom drawer does not roll in and out it sits on the spinner and will not work properly. At the end of the week we discovered the dryer would not heat up and work properly. There were other small issues.

This home was INCREDIBLE!

This home couldn't have been better! Every room was beautiful and comfortable. The pool area provided plenty of warmth on the chilly days with the heated pool and jacuzzi and trees providing privacy while blocking the wind. The pool furniture and grill made meals wonderful outside. Every window boast incredible views. Beds were very comfortable. Kitchen perfect for cooking and large gatherings with many options of platters and cookware for your convenience. Convenient location across street from beach and you can walk to almost everything. Recommend Bean Point Beach for sunsets (about a mile walk). 2 scoops for icecream abs snacks (amazing hotdogs!). Warerfront for delicious cuisine. Both next store. Sandbar fire incredible views and food (.5 walk). Can't say enough good this about this property! We hope to be back!! Thanks to AMI for quickly getting back to us and taking care of any issues we has immediately.
