"The house was incredibly dirty. The towels smelled like they had not even been washed. The water was so horrible that once we turned it on we had to leave the house due to the overwhelming sulfur smell that filled the entire house. We are having to find a place to shower. I have pictures to prove just how bad the house was. "

"This house was not clean at all. Stained carpets, dead roaches and bugs all over the place, flickering lights, moldy smell. One of the rules was to remove your shoes before going into house! This house was disguising. We did not stay herewe walked in and walked back out. The pictures online were very deceiving."

"My best friend, my sons, and my nephew gathered at Riverside Country Retreat for the weekend. The house was perfect: great bbq grill, fire pit and three cozy bedrooms! We Sat out by the fire and walked the trail to the river. Our rooms were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. This is a great place in close proximity to Brazos Bend State Park where we geocached and hiked. "We liked how it was decorated in red white & blue. It was very comfortable. Great space during the day. One downfall, which was not. so bad, was the bar it was kind of loud. Right across the street & kind of noisy. The refrigerator works very well.It was outside. . The host was very understanding & cooperative."

"This is a great property with fantastic beach access and comfy, welcoming decor. It was clean and well stocked with everything we needed. Our group had a wonderful weekend making memories. The local water supply wasn’t the best, but we drank bottled and it was fine. I recommend this house!"
