Lovely well-cared for home with view of Wheeler Peak and great deck

We loved the location and especially the views of the fall foliage and Wheeler Peak. We had owned a home in Angel Fire years ago and love revisiting this place (over and over). Bed was very comfortable and our dog really enjoyed the big deck. Just two things that would have been better: a gate blocking the deck stairs and I couldn't find an ironing board. Would rent again!

Satisfying

The house is everything advertised. Very comfortable. We used it as a home base for a week’s worth of day trips. Cooked dinner every night but one and it was great. We never turned on a TV. Mostly listened to music and hot tubbed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful and cozy home

Great location for those who choose to ski and very close to the center of town. Everything was nice and clean. For me the master room bed was a little too soft. Other than that enjoyed our stay. Plenty of room for dancing.

Amazing Property and Location!

My family and I stayed at the Rustic Chalet for the weekend and we were blown away! The location and distance to the slopes, decor of the beautiful home, hot tub, coffee bar and amazing floor to ceiling windows made this property unforgettable! Winter House

We had a fantastic vacation and ski trip at the Rustic Chalet. The house was exactly as described and was perfect for our group of 8 adults. The beds were extremely comfortable and helped recover from each day on the slopes. The hot tub was also great to have and easily fit 5-6 at a time. The views of Wheeler Peak were incredible and we could easily walk to the lifts each day. We loved our Winter Ski House! There were not really any cons but a few things for the owners/management to consider: Windows seem to have been replaced in the remodel but they do not fit in the primary bedroom and do not close all the way or lock. This let a draft flow through that made the bedroom very cold especially when the temp dropped to single digits. Some additional weather stripping may help this. Second, a snow shovel would have been helpful when we were there. The walkway from the porch was covered in snow and it became hard to see where the steps were. It would also have helped with the area in front of the hot tub. Again, these were not negatives, but just suggestions to make the stay even better. Finally, we “donated” (forgot) a plastic sled we used to sled down the hill behind the house. It was lots of fun and, hopefully, the owners will make it available for future guests.

Perfect property close to slopes

Our family of five loved the Rustic Chalet. Our three boys got in the hot tub daily. It was so nice to be able to do laundry and cook during our stay. Loved the coffee bar and fireplace too. Kids loved the shuffleboard table. Lots of TVs and comfy beds. Will definitely come back!

We loved the property. Furnished nicely. The only complaint we had was no air circulation. Installation of a fan in the loft would have helped tremendously as the home became quite hot during the day.
