Perfect ski in ski out for large groups and kids!

We had an amazing stay at the modern chalet! We had 8 adults and 7 young kids. This property is right off the run… we did have to dig a trench out in the snow to get to the run because we’d had a lot of snow just before we came. You are able to ski right to the house at the end of the day. The house was so spacious- lots of beds and comfortable sleeping arrangements, and love it living space too! The home owners were super helpful throughout our entire stay! Would definitely recommend this with young kids and large groups! What a fun stay!

Family Ski Trip

This ski in ski out property was absolutely amazing! We had 9 adults and 7 kids and plenty more room to be had. Every couple had their own bedroom with bathroom. Lots of room to play games and eat together! We will rent this property again, that’s for sure.

Snowy and Peaceful, great ski trip!

We were lucky enough to grab a short stay here when our other reservation cancelled last minute. The host was super responsive, and very welcoming. The house is at the top of the mountain, but due to the great snow we were able to easily ski out. We cooked most of our meals and the kitchen is really well stocked and the house is neat and well cared for. The TVs were easy to use and internet was super fast for streaming. Would definitely stay again!

Disappointed with the lack of transparency in the listing description

This home has a Ring camera inside that was not listed on the description when I made our booking. It is out in the open, on the top of a hutch that faces the front door. The owners sent me a picture of the area that the camera views. The camera is viewing a roughly 4foot by 4 foot area inside the home. I would not have rented this home if I had known there were indoor cameras of any sort. Taking the trash where it is supposed to go is a 30 minute ordeal. It has to be driven in your personal car to the designated trash drop off spot. This is not a pet free home. When I booked this property the listing said no pets. But, pets have definitely been in the home. There was a large dog bed under the King sized bed in the Teal bedroom. We found several dog toys in the home. There was pet carpet cleaner in the laundry room and pet hair in the gold bedroom. The gold bedroom is so tiny. It does not have a closet. The person staying in the gold room will need to store their belongings somewhere outside of the bedroom. The “full size sleeper couch” in the office is small, awkward and uncomfortable. No one over the age of 6 could sleep in it. The Teal bedroom has a window that opens and closes to the main living room. The Red bedroom has a sliding door that opens to the kitchen and a window that opens to the main living room. It should be noted that even when these openings are closed they do not seal out noise. Any noise that is made downstairs can be heard loud and clear by the people in these bedrooms. The cabinets and closets in this home are packed full of stuff. Don’t plan on using a closet to keep your belongings in.

Winter wonderland for all ages!

Beautiful and very functional property! Our family loved the ski in/ski out convenience, the backyard sledding, daily visits by deer, wonderful conversation by the fireplace. The view from all the many windows was magnificent and the sunsets were spectacular. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

Not convenient for our group

Nice House, but it is not convenient for our group. We had kids from 2 to 13, all mostly new skiers, and were not able to ski out or in from the house. So, we had to haul all of them down to the VERY busy ski area base, that was a 15 min+ drive each day. If your group was older or mostly adept skiers, the house would be great, as you could all ski in/out. The house: Wasn't as big as the pictures made it look. Kitchen area is small. Counters needed to be cleaned and overall just not as clean/nice as it seemed it should have been for the money. Keurig didn't work so had to get coffee. Wood was wet/green so hard to get a fire going and keep it going in the fireplace. Weird strong smell the first day/night in the basement and stairs to basement, it did finally go away though. Kids did love having their own area on bottom floor/basement. They also loved the deer that would come up begging for food. Overall the house was fine, but the location was very inconvenient for the makeup of our group.

Fully stocked chalet with a beautiful view!

I booked this beautiful chalet for our family vacation during Christmas week because it was big enough to fit everyone. We had several families joining and this chalet was the perfect size. It offers a tremendous amount of sleeping space including rooms, bunks, and couches. The kitchen is fully stocked with a variety of different size bowls and plates, pots and pans, etc. All the bedrooms have extra blankets and pillows. We lucked out and it snowed on Christmas Eve; beautiful white Xmas! The view was gorgeous with the snow. The chalet had several inches of snow and we were able to sled on the property without having to go out for sledding elsewhere. The owners responded very quickly to all my questions and the property caretaker addressed my issues very quickly which were minor like coming to shovel all the snow out of driveway. There is a ski out that is a short hike but convenient for experienced avid skiers to ski to the front to get lift tickets. The property was so beautiful. Everyone had a wonderful time!

Spring Break 2021

This house is absolutely amazing! I honestly don't have one negative comment. Was so nice to finally get away and enjoy life with our friends and family. The house has everything you need. And I mean everything! We had 3 families, (13 People) staying in this house, and had plenty of room. The kitchen is fully stocked, as well as coffee makers, keurig, and even an espresso machine. The 7 kids were able to have their own dining area in the kitchen, while the 6 adults had ample space in the dining room to enjoy breakfast / dinner, conversations, and the amazing views. The hot tub was a very nice perk to have after a full day of skiing, and actually fit all 6 of us adults. Everyday a few deer would walk up, and the kids would hand feed them a little lettuce. Was really cool. From the comfortable beds, and very nice bathrooms, to the awesome kitchen, and entertainment space, Im not sure we could have had a better house. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy it! -Stephen

Great ski vacation for our 4 families!

Great home for our four families to enjoy an amazing 4 days of skiing! We enjoyed the ski in/out even though it was a little challenging for the little kids that don’t have poles as there is no defined trail. We had 7 inches of snow before we got there which made for awesome skiing. The laundry on 2 floors is a real plus. The kids were disappointed as there was no foose ball table or ping pong balls to play with. Unfortunately none of the Keurig machines worked for coffee but thankfully we brought enough regular coffee to use on the drip coffee pot. Would recommend some decluttering as there in almost no pantry or closet space to store food or other items we brought. The living room and dining space was perfectly sized for kids and adults and we really enjoyed our time at the house!

Very nice place

This is a great place for families with kids. Great location and large communal area. We had a little problem with a leaky roof but the owners were very responsive. Overall I would recommend this place. Felt the place was slightly dirty for such an expensive cleaning fee.

Absolutely Perfect

This home is modern yet so cozy. Ease of checking in/out and commutation with staff for mild issues was quick and effective. The home for our party of 17 WITH EASE! everyone had a place to rest comfortably and the common areas provided for great group time and meals. Hands down the ski in ski out benefit of this property is beyond convenient, and the VIEWS, oh my my! 100% would recommend this home to skiers and non skiers alike. Thank you for such an amazing family getaway.

Great place

This was a multi-family vacation and the house was very welcoming and roomie for all of us. It came fully equipped with everything we needed in the kitchen, was stocked with all the linens for such a large group (including towels for the hot tub), and the location is right on the ski run. The views were amazing and everyone loved the friendly deer visiting us everyday. The owners were fantastic during all our communication prior and during our stay.

A Welcome Retreat!

My family (ages ranging from 10 months to 87 years) absolutely LOVED this home. We couldn’t have been more pleased with ease of renting, responsiveness of owners to our questions, and the home itself. Bedrooms on all levels with en-suite bathrooms made for the perfect setup for our group., The ski-in, ski-out feature was what led us choose this house initially, and it did not disappoint! We are hoping to do it all again next year!

Angel Fire Spring Ski

Modern Chalet worked out great for our spring skiing long weekend getaway. 4 couples with a toddler, a baby and a small child. Plenty of space for all. We were lucky and had enough snow on Texas flats to ski in and out, which was fantastic. Everything you could possibly need is provided in the kitchen and the chefs stove top is fabulous to prepare dinners on for all. Main Dining table had space for the adults and there was more dining space for the children, along with plenty of chill out space in the lounge. I personally enjoyed the firm mattress on the bed I slept in, some weren’t so enamored. 4 out of the 5 bedrooms were very spacious. We didn’t need to use the smaller room next to the ski entrance. Bathrooms were all great with plenty of hot water. Washer/dryers on two levels were very useful as was the hot tub after skiing. We parked 3 large SUV’s in the drive and had enough space to maneuver them. Also the driveway was plowed so access was no trouble. All in all we had a great time at Modern Chalet.
