Cool Summer Break
This property worked out great for our gang of adult mountain bikers. Garage plenty big for bike storage, a full bath on each floor for showers. Sweet cabin in the midst of tall, fragrant pines. I would stay again at this property.

Excellent property
This place was adorable and perfect for our ski vacation to Angelfire. Very clean, lots of space, great neighborhood, short drive to the slopes and town, easy check-in and out process, and very clear instructions posted all over the cabin. We would definitely book again when returning to the area!

Family ski trip
Lovely home, we would definitely stay there again! It was a perfect arrangement for our family of 5 plus the grandparents. Owner Virginia was very kind in messaging with me. Our only complaint was the unavoidable winter storm that had us shoveling the driveway our 1st 2 days so we could get out to ski. The property mgmt company did finally send out a snow plow around noon on the 2nd day of snowfall, after we had already gotten out. And the main road through Angelfire had not been snowplowed either! Fortunately the driveway was not too steep, the neighborhood roads did have a few tough spots for our minivan. But the house was warm and cozy, and the labels around the house were super helpful too!

Thank you for your review Amy. Glad you still had fun at our cabin despite the snow storm. We recommend all wheel drive for that specific reason. The plows get overwhelmed with the amount of work during storms but will eventually come by anytime it snows over 6". Hope to see you all again soon!

Family Christmas trip
Would definitely recommend this property!! It had tons of space and things to do. It could easily sleep 7 in beds. There is room for extra on the couch or bring air mattress. They had the kitchen stocked well with utensils and dishes. The ONLY negative thing I could say is the kitchen is a little small and hard to cook with more than one person. But the dining area is large and the deck has a grill. I would still book this property again if I was in the area. Good host as well with quick responses.

Great Family Getaway
The Cabin was perfect for the size and various ages of our family. Beautiful setting to explore the great outdoors and see wildlife right outside your door. Games downstairs on a rainy evening was a lot fun for the whole family.

Great ski house for Angel Fire
This house is not fancy but it's very comfortable and on a scenic street very close (under 5 minute drive) to the ski area. The main room has tall windows with nice views. The basement has some fun games (foosball and shuffleboard) that our kids enjoyed. We didn't use the deck because it was ski weather but it would be nice in the summer.

Cozy & Fun
Our family had a wonderful stay at this property. It was close to the slopes, very roomy/comfortable, and had entertainment for the teens/kids including sleds and a basement with shuffleboard and foosball. The house was clean, cozy, and supplied well. Communication was very prompt with questions answered fully. We recommend this property for your next adventure in the mountains!

Wonderful, Cozy Mountain Stay
We so enjoyed our 5 days at Alces Lodge! There were many thoughtful touches -- labeled cupboards, plenty of pillows and towels -- and total rustic cabin decor! My kids especially loved the basement game room with the foosball table and shuffleboard. Virginia pinged us over the app to make sure we got in the house OK, which was so thoughtful! Can't wait to return to this awesome property!

Summer Getaway
This is a great property to entertain a family in. The deck is peaceful. The game room is made for family tournaments. The easy walk to the lake is perfect for taking in the mountain air. We absolutely enjoyed our stay. The owner was wonderful to communicate with. We hope to be back soon.

check in / check out
We didn't feel we had enough time to enjoy the cabin as check in time was so late. We had to drive around for two hours before we could go relax. And check out time was early so we had to rush to get out of the cabin before 10am. Over all beautiful place.

Thank you for your review. We hope you can come back when you have more time. Unfortunately, the service industry is having a really hard time getting back to normal and the area is lagging enough cleaning people so (for now) we are at their mercy for when they can clean.

Great location
This property is easy to find in what can be a maze of streets in the Angel Fire area. It is very close to nearby trails and the small lake which has all kinds of activities.

Great cabin for families
We had three families staying at the cabin. It was very nice for each of us to have our own floor/space/bathroom. Common areas had plenty of room for all of us. Beautiful setting! Nice deck and view. Very relaxing. We hope to come back next year.

Such a nice relaxing time
The only complaint if you call it that... it’s not BTW... the internet service wasn’t great to watch a movie upstairs in bed.... and the 4 wheelers in the garage was a huge tease to our 15& 18 year olds ;) overall spectacular house and vacay!!!

We have asked for a quote to upgrade the internet. Hopefully we can do that soon! And sorry about the ATVs not being available. It’s a huge liability risk! But it is good to hear you had a good time and hopefully the teens were entertained with the fussball table and the shuffle board!

Thank you for your review. We do have a local property manager you can call if you have any problems at the cabin it doesn’t matter if it’s minor things. That is why we pay him and give you his number in addition to ours.

Cabin in Angel Fire
We had a wonderful stay. We were called ahead of time and the owner communicated with us and was very helpful. We had a blast in the basement with the little bar and the shuffleboard. The deck was large and perfect for a little fall fire in the wood burning fire pit and a great place to draw the whole family together. Recommend this whole heartily for a casual and fun stay in Angel Fire!

A nice cabin in the woods!
Great for a nice stay in Angel Fire! Walking distance to nice trails and the lake, perfect for our family. The cabin was cozy and perfect, and our boys loved the basement room.

Lovely Cabin Experience
There were 3 generations of family that stayed here. We enjoyed all of the amenities offered by Virginia. Even though it rained we still had everything we needed to make it comfortable. The bucks walking across the properties was enjoyable to see. Chipmunks and Squirrels were fun too.

Great location
We really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. The cabin was clean and comfortable and in a great area less than a five-minute walk to the lake. We did have a few issues with the cabin all around the linens. The bath towels had holes in them and looked very old, the sheets in the main floor on the queen bed had dog hair all over them and other sheets had holes in them. The most major issue with linens we had were with the bathmats they were stained and crunchy on all floor and in all bathrooms, we ended up just removing them. We did really enjoy our stay and I hope this is taken as constructive criticism.

Great time in Angel Fire
The property was great - good layout and well stocked with whatever you'd need. Owner was very responsive. Only let-down was the table shuffleboard - I LOVE table shuffleboard but one end of the table was broken so we couldn't really play. Otherwise, a great place to stay - close to the lake, great living area and balcony and very easy. Thanks!

Good Angel Fire family cabin
Location was not too far from the ski slopes, grocery, and restaurants. Cozy tri level log cabin with plenty of family games, esp the shuffleboard in basement. Pilot light will go out if doors left open to load and unload. Kitchen had everything we needed including crockpot. Owner is friendly and very responsive, but property manager that came to fix pilot light issue is not as friendly. Overall the snow and skiing was great!

Great location!
The house was located close to town and was in a nice neighborhood without neighbors being right next to you. We enjoyed our stay and were impressed with our communication with the property manager. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, appliances and utensils. The only hopefully helpful critique was that the house could have been cleaner. There were toys and things left under the ottoman from the previous renter. There were several places in the loft restroom and main floor restroom where there was old toothpaste stuck on the walls. The loft shower mat was crunchy. ? It just needs a really good scrub down. I would still stay here again next time we are in Angel Fire.

Angel Fire Cabin
The cabin was easy to find and not at all far from the town area of Angel Fire. We loved the fire pit with the twinkle lights around it. We saw mule deer everyday from our balcony. Cabin was fully stocked with everything we needed. Just needed to grab some extra toilet paper and coffee due to having 9 adults. The loft stayed warm, but we kept the window open and it cooled off during the night. The beds were comfortable. Overall we loved our stay and the property owners have been very kind and there has been great communication. I definitely would book the cabin again.
