Our stay at the Chalet

We were very satisfied with the accommodations. the BBQ grill was new and worked fine. There was a huge stock of firewood although the space heaters provided all the heat we needed. I would certainly stay there again!!!!!

Disappointing

This is the first booking through Vrbo we have been disappointed with. While the property does have gorgeous views and the accommodations were as advertised, it had numerous issues. In the master bedroom the wood bed frame fell apart, and the blinds with missing slats letting bright light in a 5:30 am. In the loft, the bunk beds were missing supports that allowed the mattresses to fall between them and several of the electrical outlets did not work. The CO detector went off every time someone took a shower in the hall bathroom (steam?). And, not included in the exorbitant fees (which exceeded the rent), which include cleaning, you have to take your trash to the city dump area, which is a 20-minute drive. On the plus side, communication was good. The washer and dryer were great. And, the access to streaming content on the TV as well as wifi was appreciated.

Cozy and comfortable

It’s a very nice place and the location is secluded enough to be away from everything but still minutes from town. There is a telescope in the pictures that does not exist in real life. I had planned on checking out the moon on a clear night. It also seemed that it had been empty for some time as I found spider webs by the beds and dead bugs scattered here and there. The main bathroom toilet had proof of non-use with a skim of nasty on the water in the bowl. It had 99% of the items needed in the home ready for use. I really wanted a waffle, but no waffle iron, so I had pancakes instead. It would also be a good thing to have an outdoor grill. I would have settled for an inexpensive charcoal grill. Yes, I have a smoker, but can cook on those as well. The wildlife there is a major plus. I saw deer almost every day. They didn’t have a care in the world, just walked through the yard. The nights there are very quiet. Overall I enjoyed my stay there.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Very clean and had plenty of room for all of us. The wood burning stove kept us very warm. The upstairs loft is perfect for kids.

Enjoyable rental

The Chamberlain Chalet was a nice, comfortable place to stay. It is cozy, but with ample room for the four of us. The down side is the driveway. Upon our arrival the driveway was so muddy we got stuck and could not get up to the house. If it rains the driveway is impossible. The driveway is in serious need of repair.

Pathetic and dangerous home environment

Hi, The property was not cleaned before our arrival and this was in the midst of COVID pandemic. It took us three hours to clean the house, we had to wash the previous tenants clothes in washer , the bed sheets and it was a complete mess!! I need my full money back as the entire family stayed under the danger of infecting Covid. Please call me to refund my money!!

Wrong contact phone in confirmation

Overall the physical property matched expectations. The good Lovely family friendly cabin in secluded area. The unexpected Lights didn't work in the master bath and there were a few too many little spiders occupying the cabin The bad Wrong mgmt company phone number in my confirmation and no emails to welcome us until I went through the other mgmt company and they be gave me a regional mgr contact out of Colorado. The rep from V..... kept saying how they are busy and manage 30,000 properties but I truly didn't care to hear that because I didn't give a hoot about the other 29,999. I only wanted good services on 1 😲

Enjoyed Angel Fire

Cute and Cozy Cabin

Our family had a blast! There was plenty of snow on the ground for the kids (and adults) to play in. The scenery was breathtaking. Can’t wait to plan our next trip!!

wonderful family vacay

perfect location! 9 mins to angel fires ski slopes and 25 mins to red river! loved the field across street! our boys sledded their hearts out in the hills in the field and i even taught them to ski on the hills! loft was so cool for kids with its spiral stair case😍 the owner was very prompt in replying to all my millons of questions 😁 my hubby loved the wood burning stove and wood was supplied! we will back!

Amazing cabin!

The cabin was perfect for my husband and I. The house was very clean, had all we needed to prepare our meals. Beds and pillows were comfy. The scenery was awesome, we saw elks, and wild turkeys. The only suggestion I’d like to offer if you are an elderly couple is to use the side stairs, the front stairs were a little tricky for us. The property manager pGreg was always available and very nice. We plan to come back next summer!

Exactly what we needed

This cabin was perfect for us to stay the night of our wedding, just a short drive from Red River and a very pretty area when we woke up! Wish we could have stayed longer to explore the area more!

Great little cabin!

We had more than enough room and the location and property itself could not have been any better. Our 7 yr old LOVED having the freedom to explore the “backest back” wooded area behind the cabin.

Cabin was great. Fit our needs

Great cabin. Everyone had space. Everything worked fine. Only issue was that the circle to show the location of the cabin was a bit off. Had to drive more than expected. Minor issue. Definatly a place we will consider when selecting our next place to ski.

Awesome Stay

We had a great time! The cabin was very cozy! After it got dark there wasnt much to keep kids entertained. A TV or two would had been awesome. The snow and view was beautiful! We look forward to a future stay! Keith was awesome responding and keeping us updated!

Nice place beautiful peaceful and quiet!

Could use a tv with cable or satelite dish hook up! And the road in is fine unless u get caught in a snow storm then getting back and forth can be a little rough! But the house itself is very nice and cozy!

Much needed snow time!

Wonderful skiing and scenery. Cabin was very quaint but a bit of a challenge. The owner and manager seemed very pleasant and very responsive to our requests. The cabin is cozy for sure. There were some issues with the driveway and plumbing but the response to the issues was very prompt by the manager. Overall, we had lots of things to see and do everyday so we weren't at the cabin very much. Overall we had a great time. Good memories for sure!

Beautiful cabin with amazing views

Our family had an amazing time at the Treehouse! We woke up to 50+ elk walking across the drive twice during our stay. Saw gorgeous sunrises. The Chamberlains provided a sled that our kids thoroughly enjoyed. I didn’t realize there wasn’t a tv in the main living area but that was a blessing. Every night we all played games and laughed until our bellies hurt. The kids didn’t miss the tv at all! If you are wanting to reconnect with your family and spend quality time together we highly recommend this cabin! Thank you to the Chamberlains again for sharing their beautiful cabin!

Peaceful and relaxing

My family and I had a truly peaceful and relaxing stay. We were able to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of work and reconnect with eachother without distractions. The Chamberlain's have provided plenty of books and some fun card games that my family enjoyed. The cabin was comfortable with ample sleeping accommodations, linens, and towels for all of us. The beds were probably the most comfortable we've ever had when away from home. The kitchen had everything we needed. Unfortunately, the outdoor barbecue grill seemed to leak propane when we tried using it, so we opted to use the oven broiler. I'd also recommend some deep cleaning, as I noticed debris on carpeting and stains on sofa cushions upon our arrival that appeared to be remnants from previous renter.
