The views are amazing and are definitely the crown jewel of this rental! Not many options for getting out on foot or going on pleasant walks from the house itself, but we were here for a work retreat so it was just nice to have the views from the living room as we were working and from the hot tub.

The place was beautiful and well laid out. Kitchen was well equipped. Lovely sunroom extension from living room. Spent a lot of time there watching the water and sipping coffee. Upstairs rooms each have bathroom and views of water. Host very attentive and quick to respond to texts.It is down a steep dirt road and driveway. Decks looked well equipped but it rained a good deal of our stay.

We had an incredible 3 night stay at this serene, quiet, amd peaceful home. Enjoyed quiet mornings overlooking the water and peaceful nights by the fire. The island has a great restaurant, cafe, and trails to explore on top of the kayaking and paddle boarding you can do right from the home!

Absolutely awesome home on the Bay of the Pacific Ocean. The home has great views of the bay. Super easy check-in and felt very safe. My wife and I and two kids that are in their 20’s loved everything about the home. The bedrooms are spacious and the two bedrooms upstairs both have decks overlooking the water. The third bedroom is downstairs and very nice as well. All with full bathrooms. The kitchen area is huge and fully stocked with amenities. The sunroom is super nice and we spent a lot of time just being together and watching the water and the great views. They also had some fun games that we enjoyed which is hard to find for the four of us. We used the bbq grill with no problems one night and the rest of the deck is really large with a fireplace, table and chairs with plenty of shade and an awesome hot tub. They have 2 paddleboards which we don’t use but did use the 3 kayaks a lot. Two single and one double kayak. They have life jackets and paddles. Even if you have never kayaked you have to try it. The water is chilly but very calm. The views are amazing. On clear days you have a great view of Mt Rainier on a 2 minute kayak trip or a 5 minute walk. We also saw several seals and even an orca. The owners are crazy nice people and very responsive. We loved everything about our trip. We travelled from Ohio to try something new and loved the home and the island that it’s on. A vacation that is so full of great memories. You won’t be disappointed.

Beautiful home with gorgeous views of the sound and pink sunsets. We loved the easy beach access and using the paddle boards to play in the water. The house was very clean, the beds super comfy, and the kitchen had everything we needed to make pizzas! Host Betty was very communicative and lovely to chat with. Highly recommend this house if you're looking for a relaxing weekend

Island staycation

I really enjoyed the beautiful home with wonderful views and our own access to the beach. We wish we had more time there, we lost power our first night which is the only thing that made us lose time & comfort. However, that’s not something that was in anyone’s control.

We had a choice of staying in 2 hotel rooms or renting a home for close to the same price. We chose wisely! Mostly gone during the day, the mornings and evening did not disappoint. Great place for coffee, breakfast and organizing our upcoming day. Great place to unwind with beverage and sunset. Communication was great. Perfect summer getaway!

This property provides all the amenities necessary for a wonderful summer retreat with friends. We especially loved the hot tub, the outdoor seating area, and the serene views. However, the path to the beach is obstructed by overgrown weeds and thorns, which should be cleared to improve guest access. Additionally, the downstairs TV appears outdated and was challenging to operate. Despite these minor inconveniences, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Views for days!

We planned a trip looking for a comfortable place with a beautiful view, and this did not disappoint! The house was spectacular and the view out onto the sound was amazing. We definitely plan to venture back to the Pacific Northwest!

Great vacation spot

Had a fabulous week with friends and kids. So close to the water. Having water "toys" on proberty was a big plus. Great deck for meals, games and hanging out. Kitchen and living spaces good size. Bedroom balconies for morning coffee perfect. We had a blast!

Peaceful

The house is incredibly peaceful. It was very very clean and the kitchen is well stocked. The check in process felt somewhat cumbersome, and there were a lot of rules. However, we mixed up our check out date and consequently checked out late, which they were very nice about. It would be nice if they would just buy some towels for the Beach and hot tub rather than requiring that you bring them. But we slept well, watched beautiful sunsets, hiked all over the island and generally had a really lovely time at Donn and Betty's place. There aren't any board games so bring your own!
