Wife had heart attack. They would not even change the date to another day and then tried to blame it on VRBO and VRBO said they could change it so watch out for these people. They’re all about the money. They don’t care if people have problems in their life all they care about is renting their place. They forced us to keep it

Our visit and stay was fantastic, the cabin was very nice and clean. It was very comfortable and relaxing especially the hot tub. The wood stove worked out and kept the place very warm. Be aware when bringing pets along with you to this cabin, they say in the description that the pet fee is included in the overall price but is not you will have to pay a addrional fee. For that im rating it 4 stars instead of 5. Over all the experience was excellent.

Cute but poorly managed cabin. The heating unit failed and we called Vacasa for help. 5 phone calls over 6 hours, and a different person each time, we were assured someone local would follow up with us. The outside temp was -17, inside the cabin was in the 40s. Every time we called, they said we should keep waiting for someone to contact us. No one ever did. Later, we found that a small space heater was delivered, meant for heating only 1 room. We called back and were told to use the space heater and extra blankets. We were clearly dismissed. The space heater was entirely inadequate, and this solution was insulting (we’re not tourists, we live in Alaska). We then discovered that the power in the main living area, where the heater was plugged in, was out. We called again to update them, and they said they would “make a note.” At this point we were left in a cabin with only partial power, no heat, and considering leaving. We found an extension cord and plugged the heater into a functioning kitchen outlet. This made it possible to sleep there given subzero temps, but the main living area was dark and unusable. We paid a lot of money for a getaway weekend, and we were only able to stay the 2nd night because WE figured out a way to make the heat functional. Vacasa was not helpful and did nothing to meaningfully address the issue. This cabin has considerable unsafe heating and power issues. We requested a refund for the second night, and again were told they would “make a note.”

This was actually my favorite Girdwood rental we’ve stayed in as a mom because my kids could sleep separately and I still had a comfy bed and the kitchen was easy to work in while cooking each meal for the family. The heater was out when we got there along with certain lights. We figured out that one of the breakers was faulty, but it heated up just fine after dealing with the breaker and we never had an issue again with it. I would happily stay there again. Wish there was a grill, 9x13 and 8x8 pans :)

Everything was PERFECT! The house was very clean and has everything needed for a cozy stay. It was such a 'good vibe' house. Neighborhood was very friendly when we took our dog on walks. I highly recommend the house for other's to experience. We will definitely be staying again!

My partner, dog and I all stayed for two nights at this lovely cabin. It was clean, private, and in a great part of Girdwood. The hot tub was great and was the perfect mix of private but with some veiws of the mountains.

Overall the place was good and we enjoyed our stay but we couldn’t give more than three stars because of the following reason 1. Check in information/details were not correct and the property did have visible door number. 2.E-code didn’t work because the door had wrong lock. 3. Instead of electronic lock this place had physical numbers key holder. Code for this also didn’t work. We were doing this in the middle of the night tired from a long flight. However when I called Vacasa customer service they helped us out to get in. Hope the property owners/managers can correct these issues for future renters.

Pretty nice place, rustic for sure. E code didn’t work upon arrival but staff were prompt in providing an alternative code. Did not expect it to be so close to neighbors but it was still quiet.

Rustic Girwood Cabin

The cabin was cute and comfortable. Positives were it was close to the town center for groceries, hot tub was great and walking distance to trails. Negatives were the home needs maintenance outside painting, old water heater left along side of home, and new bedding.

Get away

We just needed a get away for the weekend to celebrate grandsons 18th birthday. We have always celebrated somewhere in a cabin. Being my daughter had a baby seven weeks ago we didn’t want to go far. This was perfect. Enjoyed our time.

Disappointed

The entrance code would not work. We were trying to get inside in the rain. Contact person did not seem to understand the code wasn't working. After nearly 20 minutes we were finally given a different code that worked. The hot tub did not work. After several calls it was determined a repair was needed, but would not happen till after our stay. The hot tub was part of the reason we rented. The kitchen faucet is about to come out. Microwave hande is about to fall off. Windows could not be closed enough to lock. Yard needs mowing very badly. Dies have nice view out the front
