I would live here. Cute little cottage. Shower needs new caulking, but overall very clean and comfortable and close to lots of restaurants and the marina, also a great spa all walkable.Saturday farmers market right by the place.

This would be a great place if it didn’t have so much wrong with it. The air conditioning does not work and the same unit, which is supposed to heat doesn’t do that either. There was no remote for the tv so that was not useable. The over head fan and light remote control is inoperable and the bracket holding it on the wall was broken.The porch light blinks off and on. The bathroom sink barely drains. The shower grout is in terrible shape so mold and mildew is growing. The refrigerator was dirty when we arrived. The shower floor is dangerously slippery and no rubber mat was provided, so had to use a towel on the shower floor. All of this was reported to Vacasa with promises that the issues “were escalated to local staff” but no one ever responded. The first call, made on the second day of a week long stay was disconnected after I got to item three on my list, I called back and had to start over. I texted three times and was met with empty promises. All of this is too bad, because it could be a great place with proper management.

We had a great time here! It was a little crowded for our family of 4 with our 2 small dogs, but the furnishings were very comfortable, the home was very clean, great location for everything we wanted to do while we were there- golf, ferry to Orcas Island, whale-watching (saw a whole family of Orcas!), walking distance to great restaurants, and in a nice quiet neighborhood. Our only question was the AC unit which didn't seem to keep the home cool during the night. It seemed to run fine, but it was a little warm at night. Thanks again for a wonderful weekend!

Absolutely will not be returning. This stay was a nightmare. There was black mold in the bathroom. None of the AC units could cool the house down reasonably. There were crusty stains on the sheets and a brown stain on a blanket. The mattresses were basically rocks. The photos on the listing did not match the actual house (different seating and couch). Was not told about AC problems until they said there would be a tech there an hour before checkout. They did not have the property ready in time (worked out for us because we didn’t get in until late). Could not access any checkout instructions and when I reached out I did not get a reply until 11:02, two minutes after our checkout time. And to top it all off the smell in this complex was clearly that of mold. It’s musty and smells sweaty which are two mold and mildew signs. Absolutely DO NOT stay here. It needs incredibly serious renovation work to ensure there is no more mold.

This home is spacious, well lit from windows and very clean. The kitchen and bathroom are sized for comfortable family use. However, the bed was so hard that we did not sleep well and awakened each day with sore backs. Likewise the sofa cushions were broken down in the middle and sank down into the well where the sofa bed resides. As we were cycling every day, we needed some comfortable furniture in the evenings.

Great getaway

Property was exactly as advertised. Very well equipped and comfortable - lacking for nothing at all (other than a complaint from my wife that there was no kettle !).Nicely located within easy walking distance of everything in Anacortes.Highly recommended.

Nice house for a family of four with a dog.

This property is recently updated, has a large bathroom and fridge. We found it clean and the parking in the alley was not bad. The neighbors are not sketchy. And the home is close to a lot of nice restaurants and bars. We dined at Anthony’s that is right up the road. I would recommend this property to stay at when you visit Anacortes!

Overall Nice Home

The house was updated and had what we needed. The living room, kitchen, and eating area were perfect for our family of 4. The bedrooms smelled somewhat stale like sweaty clothes, which I think was due to the bed pillows and comforters. I don’t think those had been washed. The house was not as clean as I had hoped - mold in shower and washing machine, dust buildup in dryer, dust bunnies on floor, and the bedding didn’t seem clean. The neighborhood was not the nicest, but it was a short walk to nearly everything in town. Overall, we had a nice stay. Anacortes is beautiful, and we were able to see and do a lot while we visited.

Functional, well eauipped

The kitchen had everything we needed since we cooked most dinners in. The beds and living room furniture were comfortable. This cottage is in an alley behind another property but downtown Anacortes is very safe and you can walk everywhere.

Good location with limited privacy

My sister and I stayed here during the annual Shipwreck Fest and the location was within walking distance and perfect for us. The inside of the unit was very comfortable. If you're looking for privacy or ample parking, it wasn't the best. The front door faces a fence and your 'back yard' (which was a small patch of grass separated by a wire fence which was shared with 2 other units) was very very small. We knew this but weren't prepared for the noise from the other tenants being outside past the 10:00 pm quiet time. We had one parking spot very close to our front door which was great but due to the festival our other parking spot in the front was non-existent. It would have been nice to have a guidebook (like many other rentals have) in lieu of a cardboard standee with limited instructions. We were instructed to 'start a load of laundry' when we left but there wasn't any laundry soap, for example. The garbage can in the kitchen is very small in comparison to the recycle can and again, no instructions regarding what to do with the garbage or recycle. Overall it was a good visit and a good unit. I would stay there again but perhaps one of the other units with more out door ambiance.

We loved staying at this property. It was so clean and new. The layout of the house is great; large bathroom and family area. Walking distance to the marina, grocery story, whale watching tour and downtown. Very close to the ferry port, hiking trails and sea kyaking. Easy to get to Friday Harbor and the other islands. My only suggestion would be to have a binder with information about the home and area. We couldn't figure out how to work the air conditioning which was ok because it was cool enough with the window open but it would be nice to have some instructions. Also, the adjustor on the shower head wasn't keeping it up and we couldn't find any information on who to call. We found an extra shower head in the bathroom drawer so we just installed that one instead and it was fine.
