Although some locals told us it was not in a safe area, we did not have any problems. Our biggest major issue with the house is that the kitchen is not set up for people who like to cook. "The cottage is a full, small house complete with a full kitchen, dining area, living room, bedroom, bathroom and laundry room. It is 1/2 block from the Chehalem Cultural Center and 2 blocks from coffee shops, bakeries and restaurants/bars in a residential area. It is about a 1/2 mile from a grocery store. We did not walk or go to George Fox, but I believe the campus is a short walk from the house. Ours was a mother-daughter weekend with a 3 month old baby. It would be perfect for a couple. ...

"We had a great stay! It was only for one night as several adults and teens were running a race at Silver Falls early the next morning. This house suited our needs nicely. It may have helped to have more blankets available as options. We couldn’t figure out the Google thermostat…I think only the owner could adjust the settings to a bit warmer…but we made do. Thanks for making your house available to appreciative strangers! :)"
