"Historic is one way to describe it... dated another. The rooms are dark, dreary. The property is hard to access due to surrounding construction which furthers the issues. I was invaded by Security as I had just stepped out of the shower and was in the bedroom and I heard the door open. I called out and then frantically threw some clothes on to find a man standing in the door saying "Is the shower leaking as the room downstairs called to say they had a leak". "Super cute atmosphere. We enjoyed the decor and unique art. Overall, the room was clean, but some things were in disrepair (exhaust fan and light in bathroom). The food was good, but the kitchen and dining service was lackluster. It was our first time to Richmond, so we didn’t know what to expect, the neighborhood is a mixed bag."

"We really enjoyed our short stay in Richmond. However, the hotel staff told us that we could get breakfast until 10am, and that it was to be included in our stay, but when we came down at about 9:15 we were told it ended at 9 on weekdays. The person with whom we spoke was not very understanding about the fact that we had been told 10am the night before. We then had to buy our breakfast and they were out of the first 2 things we asked for, a breakfast sandwich and a burrito. The staff was nice...
