"Stay was during May-25 at the Akohara retreat in Ubud. On arrival greeted by staff with flower garland, drinks and local traditional dance. This is definitely a couples retreat. Our room was six levels down a mountain, some 405 steps down. We used the inclinator elevator to travel between our room and main pool and restaurant. "Just returned from a one week stay at the Villa Mango Trees. We were three couples who fully appreciated the beautiful tranquil villa. All the staff were amazing. If we returned to Bali we would include a stay at the Villa. You can explore a significant portion of Bali with a top-down approach thus avoiding the traffic of the South West."

"We enjoyed our stay here overall. However, the VRBO listing indicates that the welcome dinner and following breakfast are included with your stay (obviously you pay for groceries). This is only the case if you are staying here for 7 or more days which is not mentioned in the VRBO listing. "Everything about this experience was excellent. The staff prepared great food and took great care of us. The property is beautiful and very comfortable. My only advice would be that travelers should know that it is about a 4-5 hour car ride from the airport in Denpasar. It is well worth the effort though, I cannot say enough about how happy we all were to have stayed here."
