We had a difficult time locating this place the sign is terrible. nothing to make it appear easy to see! I had to call the front desk and have them talk me thru it! The receptionist was great very kind and understandable

This place is different than most we've stayed. Still currently renovating some of the areas and rooms, which didnt bother us. On weekends its hard to find a parking spot due to the restaurant/ country club being open late to the public and currently only have 1 entrance (right next to the club) to enter the hotel. Employees were very nice and always offered to help us with anything. They were great! The only thing my family was unhappy with was that we couldnt go swimming at the hotels indoor pool because there was a private party booked til 3pm so they had the gates locked. My kids were very upset because they knew about there being a pool and it was one of the main reasons we chose it. We couldnt go after 3pm since we had a family wedding to attend to(reason for being in town) and were leaving the next morning. In the future, they should put a sign on the gates why the pool is closed and when its available for all hotel guest.

I was pleasantly surprised by everything at this property! They have mini golf, cornhole, pickleball, an indoor pool, and an amazing restaurant and bar right inside the hotel! We had so much fun. The staff was attentive and kind. I will definitely be back!

There are a few things to know about this hotel. First, when you are initially arriving, be on the lookout for the big sign that says “Western Horseman”. This is the sign for the club next to the hotel, but this is the parking lot you are looking for. Secondly, the door for the front desk is next to the door for club entrance. The hotel door is sliding glass. We had trouble finding the hotel and the front entrance when we first arrived to check in, so I just want to help other people avoid confusion. There is a logo for the hotel on the sign but you can’t read the “Cactus Cove” name from the highway because it is small and the club/bar portion of the sign is much bigger and more clearly legible. Third thing to note is if you park around the back of the hotel, you will have to walk all the way around because the back doors are kept locked (lock and key locked, not accessible with keycard for the room) As for the review of the hotel itself, the courtyard is very cute. The room is standard, with a mini fridge and a microwave, small coffee pot, hair dryer, and a tv. The room itself was clean and it was comfortable enough. We didn’t have any issues with loud noises, but to be fair, we also hardly spent any time in the room. We really only went to the hotel to sleep and shower. The free breakfast includes make your own waffles (waffle maker) bagels, toast, cereal, milk, juice, apples. They have additional options that cost about $9, such as breakfast burritos or meat and eggs.

This is a great hotel to stay in with kids! Our kids enjoyed the indoor pool, mini-putt putt & fountain with koi fish. (We couldn’t find the bean bags for corn hole when my kids wanted to play, adding some extra would be nice.) They also loved the Texas-shaped Belgian waffles in the morning. The front desk staff weren’t necessarily the friendliest, but the breakfast cook/server was super kind and wonderful! And cleaning staff were friendly and kind. My only gripe was rooms by the highway were noisy with road noise, but not sure there’s anything they can do about that. A room on the other side would have been nicer. We booked on Expedia, and it was great value for the price!! A room, fun entertainment for the kids, and good breakfast & coffee in the morning!

Great stop for young kids to burn some energy and enjoy the indoor pool. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Restaurant on site WHC was delicious and worth a stop there on its own. Try the fried pickles!

The room looked absolutely nothing like the pictures on the website. Everything was extremely run down and dirty. Paint patches everywhere, scratched and worn dresser and desk, the doors were flimsy and the light from the atrium area came through. The ceiling tiles were water stained . I know they are remodeling, but it would have been nice to be given the option of staying in a remodeled room.

Loved it, but the pool is basically just for kids, or adults who dont mind crouching the whole time they're in the water. Our room had a balcony but no access besides the window. Mild complaints, other than those things, EVERYTHING about this place is WONDERFUL 💖💖💖💖

The only complaints i would say is the parking areas and drive around the motel needs to be redone and the carpet needs to be replaced or restretched. Other then that everything is amazing. Very satisfied

The photos look great, but it's still a very old hotel with some upgrades. Thank God the beds were ok, but the bathrooms were old and dingy, gross carpet, parking is horrible and unless you get a spot up front, it's not safe. Internet so bad the TV couldn't even play a show! All doors face inside, so you hear everything in the lobby, windows covered by flimsy material so if the air blows everyone can see inside your room!! I had to put chairs in front of them to feel like I had privacy. Pay more, go somewhere else.

Wonderful stay
Our stay was wonderful from start to finish. Check in was effortless and friendly. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The facility was well laid out and easily accessible. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. A one hour extended check out time cost us $10, which I have never had to pay for before anywhere. That was the only drawback to our stay but was needed due to my mobility issues. We look forward to our next stay here.

More of an event center than a hotel. All rooms face an atrium area. While we were there it was fully occupied by a league. The rooms have glass front doors across the entrance making it impossible to control any noise in the atrium or walkways. Poorly designed. The tournament went on using loud speakers and music too well past midnight, at which point we had had enough and checked out!!! I am not even addressing the seedy area or the gross room.
