Cabin was cozy and clean, kitchen was stocked with anything needed to cook. Hot tub was clean and nice. Location is peaceful, quiet and surrounded by forest. Only downside is it's at least a 20 minute drive to find banks, food or groceries. Would have been a 5 star review but the microwave punked out on us and the gas grill had no propane, both minor issues but were important to us because we didn't want to eat out much.

This place was absolutely beautiful! We were welcomed with a sweet card and a binder of great info. The owners made it very easy and welcoming! We have four kids who are all into different things and this was the perfect place to take them for a getaway! The game room was a huge hit!

Great spot for an off the grid weekend near hocking hills. house had all the things you would need and was just as advertised in the listing. kids enjoyed the game room and swimming / fishing in the community lake just down the road.

A great place to get together as a family. We love the 3 levels and the outside firepit . The rental provided just the right amount of space for each couple could do their own thing but also roomy enough to be together as a group.

weekend away with friends

We had an amazing weekend. Listing was exactly as stated. It was perfect for traveling with two other families. We each had our own space with our own bathroom. We traveled with dogs and the yard was perfect. They even had dog bowls for them. The hot tub was great. Kitchen was well stocked and the living room was big enough for all of us to sit comfortably. We would highly recommend. It is a little remote so make sure you follow the directions about having a map incase you lose GPS and four wheel drive especially during inclement weather.

Great fall getaway spot

We had a great fall family reunion perfect spot for viewing leave change, driving through leaves to favorite hiking spots, and seeing towns. Loved hot tub and fire pit and little touches like leaving popcorn for kids and dog treats. Able to prepare meals for family with well stocked kitchen. Definitely read instructions provided by hosts about having maps/directions printed because of difficulty getting signal in this region!

Amazing Experience and Fantastic Hosts

We vacationed with some friends and all of our kids. There were 8 of us in total, 4 adults and 4 kids (two 9 yr olds, two 7 year olds). There was more than enough space for our group and then some. The kids loved the game space with NBA Jam, TMNT, darts, bubble hockey, and mini golf. The adults all took a turn on the old school Nintendo and Super Nintendo. We all enjoyed making S’mores around the fire pit and creating silly stories fireside. This is also the most well equipped place I’ve stayed. There was a drip coffee maker, a Keurig, a toaster, a Ninja blender, a spice rack, paper products, foil, coffee filters, condiments, and a bazillion dishes to make it easy on our larger party. The bar area downstairs was awesome, too. The *only* “downside” were the subtle Buckeye references….Go Blue! ;) We did have a small issue with the deadbolt not working the day after we arrived and a small outage of hot water, but with both situations Chris and Heather were amazing. They were very quick to respond and troubleshoot and it didn’t impact our trip negatively in any way. I was grateful for their communication and they even brought us flowers to brighten our day. Totally unnecessary but it was such a thoughtful gesture. I would recommend this place to anyone. Chris and Heather went above and beyond and if we return to the Hocking Hills area, it would be a no brainer to stay here. Thank you Chris and Heather for everything!

Well-stocked, spacious home

This large, clean property is well stocked with everything you need for a wonderful stay. If you are not familiar with the area it can be a bit of a challenge to find, but it is a very private location with beautiful scenery. We traveled with 4 children, 2 couples and grandparents, and there were plenty of games to occupy the children. One thing you should know is that there is only one bedroom on the main floor. We had two people with mobility issues- one bedroom is downstairs and one bedroom is only accessible by a very narrow spiral staircase, so that was a big challenge for us. We really enjoyed our day trips to the nearby trails and caverns, and the host left plenty of information on activities near the house. It was a great stay!

Kelly Family Annual Trip

The cabin was beautiful! Attention to detail was unsurpassed! The place was so rustic and quaint, i got decorating ideas!! Lol My parents, my sister and her family and my family get together somewhere every year to make sure we spend time together before life "gets away from us". This place was perfect! We hiked every day, used the hot tub, cooked out and hung out in the game room! They had a whole variety of games- the guys loved it! They even had a dartboard! The owners put together a welcome book which was very helpful in planning our trip. They gave very specific directions to the lake and other locations one might have trouble finding by GPS. The owners really did think of everything- even little amenities in the bathroom for those important items you forgot to pack.The kitchen was awesome! Anything you could possibly need-was there! As stated in welcome book, the pond/lake is still covered in duck weed/algae and is definitely not useable. However, an aerator had recently been installed and you could tell that when they get it cleaned up its going to be a lot of fun!!! I cant wait to see how it is transformed over the next few years. I would most definitely recommend this place and will stay here again! Oh, one other thing... communication with the owners is very easy and fast. I had a few issues using credit card on the VRBO app and Heather was on top of everything! She researched the issue, found a solution and sent me a link where i could update my credit card!
