Villa Madreluna was a breathtaking adventure, both literally and figuratively. Once you climb the steps to your destination, you are rewarded by views, comfort and service unparalleled. For four days, this was truly a home away from home for 19 international travelers.
The vibe is cozy Italian, unique but not foreign, older but not antique. The space embraces the open air, with so many places to escape or congregate. The common spaces create an environment of gathering, be it cooking pasta together on a giant stove or sharing wine on the terrace. With such a large group, this was exactly what we needed, the ability to zen out and make memories together.
The Summer In Italy crew went above and beyond to provide amenities onsite- espresso and pasta up to our eyes, even bus tickets to get us into town. There was a caretaker onsite every day, freshening up the pool, trimming the hedges, fixing things here and there. We were never for want. Everything was exactly as it said it would be.
I am already being asked to plan 2020 because of this experience. I cannot thank Luca and Andrea enough for their patience enduring a laundry list of questions and tripling checking details, and for accommodating the nervous travelers queries and needs. I also am so grateful to Teresa, for always being at our disposal for questions and for the thoughtful birthday flowers and wine. And to the burly men dragging our luggage up and down the 300 steps to and from the villa, you are godsends.
The staff at SII is incredible. Amazing knowledge, kindness and patience, all the things that make international travel so much easier. I highly recommend the team and would absolutely book with them again.
