We very much enjoyed our stay at House La Torricella. Lella and Oliver were wonderful hosts. Very timely in communication. The views from the rooms were spectacular. We would highly recommend staying here on your trip to the Amalfi Coast.

Lella and Oliver were wonderful hosts! We drove from Naples. Lella met us at the garage and gave us instructions for the elevator. She walked us to the property where we met Oliver. There are a few stairs but not horrible. If you are looking for no stairs the Amalfi Coast is NOT your destination. They gave us a full tour of the house. The fridge was stocked with some fruit, eggs, bread, butter and jam the essentials for breakfast. There is also a fridge with wine and beer which will be paid for at the time of check out. The Villa was as shown in the photos. The location is wonderful. It is actually in Atrani which is a 5 minute walk from Amalfi through the pedestrian tunnel. You DO NOT need to walk on the road. The views from the bedrooms were stunning. We were there in October which is hit or miss for rain. The Villa has charm and character as it is an older Villa. The kitchen is small but met our needs just fine. We had a few issues during our stay and Lella responded immediately. I would not rent a car. The ferry is very efficient and goes to the major ports like Capri, Sorrento and Positano. Positano was terribly crowded. We won’t go back. Ravello is a MUST. We took the bus up which worked perfect. We had a lovely stay at the Villa.

The apartment was beautiful. The view from the rooms and the roof was incredible. Everything was very clean. Leila & Oliver could not have been more welcoming. They stocked the apartment with food and drinks in case we needed anything. It is an easy walk to Amalfi. Remember to ask for the recommendation for the golf cart driver Alfonso. He was a great help to us as well.

We had a great stay and loved watching sunrise from the balconys off of the bedrooms. The walk into Atrani and Amalfi was very easy and we enjoyed visiting both. Would definitely take them up on the boat ride they offer, it was our best day there. Would definitely stay again.

Our stay in the Amalfi was amazing!! The Villa looking over the Amalfi coast was breathtaking!! It was perfectly placed between Amalfi and Atrani. Definitely looked like a screensaver background. The hosts, Lella and Oliver were super nice!! Lella was able to help us with anything we needed from private drivers to key spots we should visit and eat! The drivers were also great as they gave us great history as we drove around from town to town and recommending us great restaurants as well to visit! I travelled with my husband and mom and we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay! We will definitely be returning in the future!

We have stayed in many VRBO’s. This is by far our greatest experience! It starts with meeting Lella and Oliver the hosts. They are the friendliest and kindest people. They go over everything to help your stay and they have food and fruit so you don’t have to immediately go shopping. The Villa is exceptionally clean and beautiful. The rooftop patio is spectacular with views you can never get tired of. Lella and Oliver are a wealth of knowledge that can enhance your experience and they are always available and immediate with their responses. We also chose to experience Oliver’s Boat cruise. It was so wonderful! The boat is fantastic and the food is truly delicious. A highlight of our trip!

Perfect Stay in Atrani

Our family vacation in Italy ended with 4 nights staying at Oliver and Lella's fabulous apartment with a breathtaking view of the city of Atrani, the sea, and the beautiful cliffs of the Amalfi coast. The apartment is extremely well appointed, comfortable, and situated in an ideal location that offers privacy and quiet while still providing easy access to the tourist attractions and beaches of Amalfi. The attentiveness, care, and pride with which Oliver and Lella maintain their apartment is exceeded only by their warm and welcoming natures-they truly went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. Greeting us personally upon arrival and escorting us to the apartment, stocking the fridge with fresh produce, dairy products as well as pasta, sauce allowed us to settle in with ease and comfort. Upon learning that one of our daughters was celebrating her birthday, Lella presented her with a lovely box of delicious pastries and treats from the local bakery. The highlight of our stay - indeed our entire trip - was the boat cruise. It was a wonderful and unforgettable experience for all of us! We already miss our morning coffees on the picturesque terrace. Thank you Oliver and Lella!

The best view in Atrani

Perfect location between Amalfi and Atrani, with just a 7min walk thru tiny alleyways down to Amalfi and 2min down to the quieter, sandy beach and square of Atrani. Beautiful deck and bedrooms facing the ocean. Lella and Oliver met us and showed us around. Stocked the fridge with perfect breakfast and snacks to get us started. Great recommendations for restaurants and easy to get in touch with. Grazie Mille for an amazing stay along the beautiful coast of Amalfi!

Oliver and Lella are the best

We loved our stay at Villa Torricelli. Perfectly located. Beautiful views from just about every room. The rooftop solarium was the best part of our day. We ended every day on the roof overlooking the sea with a nice cocktail—so relaxing. The kitchen was fully stocked with several days worth of meals, wine and beer so there’s no immediate need to find a market. Bedrooms are huge with a balcony view. Air conditioning works like a charm. The lift to Atrani cuts down on the amount of steps to the residence, although there are some, as there are all over the Amalfi Coast. The best part of the stay was getting to know Oliver and Lella. They are the sweetest, most accommodating hosts. Even worked with us to have packages mailed from a hotel in Tuscany (luggage mistakenly left behind). Bottom line, the residence is a winner.

The place is as it looks in the pictures. Hosts were very welcoming and nice. Even filled the fridge with food when we go there. There are a lot of steps in the Amalfi Coast so just be prepared for that here too. Worked out great for us.

Comfortable, Convenient with Breathtaking Views!

Our experience at House La Torricelli was very nice. From the moment we arrived, everything was organized and thoughtfully planned. The hosts went above and beyond—not only was the property beautiful with stunning views, it was clean, and comfortable. Lella and Oliver helped coordinate a few logistics to and from the airport and provided some essentials with food, so we wouldn’t have to run to the local market right away. One of the highlights of our stay was a boat cruise along the Amalfi Coast. The views were breathtaking, and the whole experience felt personalized and special. Captain Giovanni and Carmine did an awesome job. There were a lot of stairs coming and going but it’s that way anywhere you go in Almafi. The apartment is not too far from the elevator to reduce some of the steps which helped! Thank you for helping to make our family vacation on the Amalfi coast fun and relaxing.

Ideal stay on the Amalfi Coast

This was the perfect villa in a perfect location to enjoy the Amalfi coast! The villa was idyllic, with beautiful vaulted ceilings and tileds floors- felt like we were in a movie! The views were absolutely amazing, and the convenient location meant we could go to both Amalfi and Atrani with ease. We would absolutely stay here again.

Amazing location, view and hosts

This property is located 50m above the Sea for an amazing view. The hosts, Oliver and Lella are amazing hosts and treated us like family. They met us at the parking garage and showed us to the property, showed how how everything worked and gave us a list of suggestions. They also stock the kitchen with all the basics for a few days - fruit, yogurt, eggs, pasta, espresso etc. The appartment is great - two large bedrooms with views of the sea, and the bonus is a huge roof top patio with a panoramic view. We tried several of the recommended restaurants, and they were amazing. At checkout, Oliver dropped by to make the it effortless. Our hosts even managed to arrange sunny and warm weather which was perfect for hiking and walking around Amalfi. One note. We drove, and were Lucy to get parking because it was March. I’d definitely not recommend driving, as the parking is near impossible and I can only imagine how bad the traffic is in the summer. Definitely recommend.

Great Stay in Amalfi Coast!

Joe and Monika Dream Vacation in the Amalfi Coast

The House of Toricella villa was beyond stunning and beautiful! The amazing views will be in our memories forever! The hosts were amazing and so gracious welcoming us upon our arrival after arranging a private transfer from Napoli to the Amalfi Coast! Luggage assistance service was also provided. The home was stocked with food in the refrigerator and a beautiful fruit basket put together by Lella! Wine and beer were also made available for purchase which was a very convenient bonus! Lella was always available and very helpful with restaurant recommendations and reservations! Every recommendation was outstanding! The location was unbelievable with close access to beautiful Atrani and to Amalfi Center! The public lift was also a blessing as well as the pedestrian walkway to Amalfi. We took the mini cruise offered by Oliver which we enjoyed immensely seeing the Amalfi Coast from the sea! Lots of snacks, lunch and drinks provided with a great Captain, Carmine. Monika felt an instant connection to sweet Lella and we would love to stay at your beautiful villa again when we return to the Amalfi Coast! Ciao! Amazing Atrani/Amalfi Location, location, location!

This property was a highlight of our Amalfi coast trip. Great location! Easy to walk into Amalfi Town or Atrani. The house was a great size, lots of room for the 4 of us. Oliviero and his wife were amazing hosts, from emailing in advance and assisting us with things to do, a driver to Ravello and a great lunch recommendation/reservation while we were there. The house is set-up with everything you could want/need. Thy also provided coffee, eggs, toast, yogurts, etc. which was so great to have since we wake up much earlier than our children. The best part - the views both from the bedroom terraces and the large rooftop terrace. Simply amazing. We cannot wait to have a chance to return.

Wonderful Vacation Location

The pictures just don't do it justice. The location is absolutely incredibly beautiful. We have travelled alot and we agreed it's the most beautiful place we have ever stayed. The house is very conveniently located. There are some stairs to contend with but if you aren't living like the Italians on the Amalfi coast, then you need to stay on a resort / get a hotel room - it's part of the experience. I do recommend having Oliver / Lella setup a baggage porter service for you - very affordable. Transport from the train station can be easily setup / affordable. Oliver and Lella were awesome. They helped us tremendously in getting there, getting setup, advice while there, etc.. There was a very nice welcome "basket" / collection of food - very nice.The minicruise with Oliver was fantastic and highly recommended. The culture, and food is just incredible. There is so much to do from the minicruise, to ferry to Postiano, to bus ride to Ravello for evening dinner / watch the sunset, to walking to Amalfi for shopping / breakfast, to hanging out in one of the small cafes in Atrani. The house is very traditional and well-appointed - just perfect for the 6 of us. The rooftop solarum is the jewel of the house. I could live on the solarium - we spent alot of time up there - it's actually two-tiered, which don't really show in the pictures. It really is hard to put into words how great the house and the hosts are. You will not be disappointed. Mark / Kathy McDowell and Family

Wonderful stay on Amalfi Coast

My wife and I took our granddaughter on a trip to the Amalfi coast for a week. We had a wonderful stay at House La Torricella. It was so nice to wake up to a spectacular view of Atrani and the Sea. The house and views are just as beautiful as the pictures show. The location makes for an easy walk to downtown Atrani or through the pedestrian tunnel to Amalfi. The house was well stalked with provisions for dining-in. Oliver and his wife were very gracious and were eager to offer helpful suggestions on how to get the most enjoyment during our stay. We would highly recommend this location for guests to stay while on the Amalfi Coast.

La Torricella la dolce vita.

The house is exactly as pictured and the views of Atrani from the rooftop terrace and bedrooms are spectacular. We were so grateful to have chosen this quiet and charming location especially when returning from hectic nearby Amalfi, Capri and Positano. Lella and Oliver are the sweetest hosts and have thought of everything including a welcome pantry with staples of that you need to start your vacation: eggs, milk, yogurt, fruit/veges, coffee, water and as stated in other reviews, wine and beer for additional purchase. One of the main reasons I chose this house is that the hosts have an extensive local knowledge and can make any arrangements that you need for restaurants reservations. We booked high speed train from roma/airport transportation to paris. Taxi transports was so necessary for us because it made it easier to travel between the towns as the ferry was not an option bc of our seasickness plus we didn’t want to wait for the sita bus which was slower and scheduling inconvenient. The lift does take 1 eu each way; is very convenient and clean. Expect stairs everywhere in the Amalfi and the route to the villa from the elevator is such a pleasant and picturesque stroll. Porter service can be arranged ahead of your stay if you need (we didn’t need) Be sure take a taxi to Ravello and enjoy Cimbrone and Rufolo gardens. Wish we could have taken Oliver’s boat cruise it looked amazing. If you can, try to hike the Path of the Gods into Positano and have a gelato/sorbetti daily.

Exceptional property!

This property is conveniently located between Amalfi and Atrani. A short walk to the center of both locations. My spouse and i stayed here with another couple. Oliver and Lella are fabulous hosts. They gave wonderful restaurant suggestions and helped us book a winery visit. Our one regret was that we could not book a day on the boat due to choppy seas. The rooftop was a wonderful place to enjoy a glass of wine at the end of an action-packed day. And our hosts had a stock of nice wines from which we could purchase without the need to find a store. They also very thoughtfully stocked the refrigerator with some food staples so we could have breakfast (and coffee!) the first morning. Made for much less stress on that first day. The villa is quite lovely, and we would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!!

Property was below basic standard in a unsafe place

179 steps a long walk then more steps with all baggage that's after you get in and out of a realy dirty elevator that you need a euro coin piece to make work, bags of trash every where. The apartment had bars on windows/doors in need of general updating, cracked walls tiles with mold , the sun deck view is wonderful if you look pass rusted old furniture molding pillows and broken umbrella all now trash just left there. So very disappointed we decided it was too depressing so after 3 days we decided to leave, our dream to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary here would was not to be, along with all that money we had saved.

Fantastic stay!

First of all, Oliver is a fantastic host. He has a tremendous ecosystem of contacts in Amalfi that he leverages to make sure you have everything you need. It started well in advance of our arrival, when he arranged to have my family picked up from the train station in Napoli. It continues when you arrive, with restaurant recommendations where he has known the owners/managers for more than 20 years! The unit itself is exactly as pictured and described. The view from the bedrooms and the the terrace is absolutely incredible. You can’t get a better one! He makes sure that it’s well stocked, like many places in Amalfi it is hard to get supplies to, so he takes care of it! We had planned to eat in restaurants so, the supplies he provided were perfect for what we needed for breakfast. We spent a day on Oliver’s boat to see Amalfi from the ocean, and it was fantastic. The price is competitive with other providers, and as with other elements of our visit, it was well stocked with drinks and food. His knowledge of the area is fantastic. And if you ask my 15 year old daughter what was the highlight of her amazing 2 week trip to Italy (1 week at an incredible villa just south of Florence; 4 days in Amalfi; and, 4 days in Rome), she will tell you it was the day on the boat in Amalfi! The water is incredible, and there’s no better way to access it that the 3 places we stopped to swim! All told, it was a fantastic experience. Thank you Oliver, you were a great host.

I can't find words to express how amazing our stay was. Oliver and Lella are more than owners, they are amazing hosts and beautiful people. He helped with all of our logistics coming and going from Rome, while in Atrani and with all the little things a traveler with limited Italian will need. From our arrival in Rome, he helped select the best train, coordinated a driver and met us as we were dropped off. He and Lella gave us a tour and you can tell immediately, how proud they are of the area and love hosting guests. Food and drink was available in the house (free of charge), and a quick recommendation for dinner really helped. The house held my wife and I, 2 college age young adults and my15 year old with ease. It was clean, every thing worked and the patio view is simply breathtaking. It's an easy walk to and from Atrani or Amalfi, especially for my kids. The elevator was very useful for us older kids. :-) We opted for the boat cruise Oliver hosts and I can't recommend more highly. It will be the day we speak of most I think...beautiful views, food, drinks and swimming. I could have sat and listened to Oliver for days. When the time came to leave, they made all the logistics for us and personally ensured the driver came when and where we needed. Very kind. Finally, I have to say the communication was exceptional and very reassuring. I'd recommend using Whatsup. Very responsive and helpful. Simply put, if we ever have the opportunity to return, I know where I'll be staying. It was exactly as advertised and we couldn't have asked for more. I offer the highest recommendation I can. Amalfi

Oliver was a gracious host. Upon arrival he met us where our driver dropped us off and brought us to the unit. The refrigerator was stocked with necessities to avoid a grocery store trip after a long day of traveling. Plus he had beer and wine available, for purchase. The villa was clean and comfortable for four. A good location, accessible for exploring other cities on the coast. The only negative is the furniture on the roof. The view was spectacular but didn’t enjoy it as much as we would have, if the furniture was nice. Overall, great time.
