Overall, I would highly recommend this villa, as long as you're looking for the quiet life, and are prepared to drive for 1 hour + for days out etc. The photo's on the website are exactly what you'll get - lovely villa, air con works great, lovely views etc. If you've not driven on the continent before (ie UK drivers), be warned that the roads around this area are very hairy indeed - but for us it gave us a real sense of adventure.
If I was to make and suggestions for improvements, I would say that the owners should have a 'welcome' pack in the villa for when you arrive to provide some information - ie how to get to nearest supermarket/shop (we asked and they were very accommodating, and its a 15-20 drive away in Alora), number to call in an emergency etc etc and recommended places to visit as there was no information regarding the local area, or opening times (which is very different from the UK).
Other than that, I would strongly recommend this place for those whom want relaxation and whom want to explore this area on their own terms, and whom are prepared to drive for an hour + to find great places to visit (you'll rarely get beyond 3rd gear within half an hour of the property!). We have two sons, a 7 year old and a 9 month old - we tended to alternate from a day in the villa/local area followed by a day out. Would strongly recommend a visit to the Caves at Nerja and we were really impressed with the science museum at Granada....also a visit to Ronda is well worth it too. Finally, a 25 minute drive north past El Chorro to the lakes called 'Embalse del Conde de Guadalhorce' - there's a restaurant called 'El Kiosko' which is on the banks, with steps down to the lake which is great for swimming and etc. We found this place on our various exploratory drives out, but it would have been nice if there was an info pack to inform us of these places when we arrived.
The staff were very accommodating and friendly, my wife and I and our children had a great time and I would recommend.
