Thank you for taking time to review the property. We're glad you enjoyed your stay. To address the dog policy, our $20/night fee helps us cover the extra cleaning involved with allowing dogs. The alternative would be not to allow dogs at all but we would like to remain dog friendly. While may guests are thoughtful with their dogs, we have had many nightmares as well. We find that most people allow their dogs on the beds and furniture. This causes a huge amount of extra cleaning for our crew, as well as wear and tear on the furniture. The other issue with leaving dogs alone in the cabins is that they often bark and disturb other guests. When people have not followed the rules and left the dogs behind, even in kennels, we often have had to call them (while they're skiing/hiking/4-wheeling) because of barking noise complaints. Almost everyone says that their dogs don't bark or shed but we have to have a policy that covers these situations for the comfort of all guests. In regard to the kitchen supplies, we spell out in every confirmation that we supply the basics but anything edible is up to the guest to supply. We have tried in the past to supply things like basic salt/pepper, condiments but we found that guests either take them or leave them a mess which can be a health issue. In order to keep up with all of those supplies, we would have to increase our rates and we find that most of our guests would rather have a decent rate and they bring all food items. Thank you for writing a review for us and we're glad you enjoyed your stay. Regarding the beds, we find that every person has a different preference based on the type of bed they sleep on at home. People have complained that our beds are too soft and we have actually placed boards on them! Others, like you, say that they are too hard. The majority of guests enjoy them and find them to be "just right." I can assure you that we regularly test and replace our beds with a middle of the road commercial mattress that we find appeals to most. However, we will definitely check out that cabin to see if we need to look at a replacement. Usually when it's time to replace, the mattress is really soft, rather than hard.
