The property was very pet friendly which was helpful. The pictures were a little deceiving as far as being a little dated but overall the only complaint we really had was that the coffee machine did not work.

Dishwasher was not working. Cleaning dishes by hand for 8 people for a week was not great. Not enough silverware for 8 people. Overall expected more for the price paid.

Perfect winder getaway

This was the perfect spot for a group as it’s rooms are dispersed throughout and there were plenty of bathrooms. We really appreciated some nice touches during the holidays like a Christmas tree and gingerbread house. The house is very dog friendly and provided a dog crate, bedding, bags and toys. It could have been a bit cleaner and used a deep cleaning (dusty vents, dirty couch, smelly throw pillows), however the basics were clean and provided (dishes, towels, bedding). Overall a great experience and responsive host, great location and fun entertainment (hot tub, games, etc ). We’ve already booked our next stay here!

Beautiful home and gorgeous scenery

My group of six adults really enjoyed our stay at this home. The house is lovely with plenty of room to gather or spread out. The beds were very comfortable - a must for our group! It snowed heavily on our arrival and we enjoyed the hot tub. Unfortunately the deck heater shown in the photos was not available so we had limited time on the deck. There was a service that plowed the driveway once the storm passed so we could go into town which was nice. The kitchen had plenty of pots and pans for cooking and a full size wine fridge. We did have an issue with the oven and were told a repairman was unavailable to service it. We ended up doing a home repair to continue cooking. Overall it was a very nice location to spend Thanksgiving.

My son and his fiancee were married at Hoosier Reservoir so we all wanted to be close - this home was an awesome site to be at especially when it snowed on Saturday afternoon - home was clean, and all amenities were there as stated - excellent condition!!

Secluded, privacy, great for family and the dog

Nice house on a secluded lot. You would definitely need a 4wd in winter, but we visited in summer and had no issues. Great place for a quiet relaxing visit with the family. Perfect if you prefer to bring a 4 legged friend. Highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic, except…

Place overall was great, hosts were excellent and promptly answered the few questions I had. The few issues we had were with the quality of items in the home. The microwave has a chunk of plastic broken on the door and the dishwasher buttons are completely worn down so I had no idea what cycle I was running, the refrigerator is also in need of some TLC.I would also suggest leaving one of the cabinets empty so guests can store food. We also had some questionable hot water when people were showering, sometimes it was great but sometimes it was Luke warm at best. Would absolutely rent from the property managers again but probably not this house unless the appliances were updated.

Fantastic place

My husband and I went up for his Bday weekend and had the most amazing weekend. The communication with the property manager was seamless and highly responsive. After our first night and not being able to get the hot tub to heat up more than the temp of our body temperature, I sent a text and the hot tub was in perfect working order before we got back to the property after exploring the small town of Fairplay - and that was the only thing, all weekend, that we needed help with! Speaking of site seeing - the views are AMAZING from the house, but we ended up going to Breckenridge on our second day, which was a beautiful scenic 30 min drive - verses staying in or near the very iconic and busy ski town that Breckenridge is - so convenient! Alternatively, if your just needing to get away and have no desires to leave the property - that is all good too! There are Rocky Mountain Blue Birds and really brave Gray Jays - that will literally eat from your hand. The hot tub gives a great view to the stars - of which are 3x what you can see in the city, and the house is gorgeous! Is there wear and tear? Yes, but none of it was an inconvenience or highly noticeable and the property management does a great job at letting you know if something is out of order, well before you get there. If it is just you and loved one for a romantic get away or a large family - this is a great place. We hope to come back in the summer for a mountain get-away vacation with the entire family!

Fully stocked kitchen, horseshoes, board games and Playstation. Owner is very nice and responds immediately to questions or concerns. Natural gas grill, electric smoker with wood chip tray.lots of channels for streaming movies. No reason to not enjoy your trip there.

Some maintenance required.

Location of the property is great although the road to it is fairly rough. Understandable considering the elevation. The views are by far the best thing. Inside we found several window cranks broken or missing, coffee pot produces warm coffee, not hot, can opener was broken and had to use knives to open cans, silverware could use updating, screens missing on some windows and some are foggy from broken seals. For the most part easy fixes except for window replacement. Never stayed at a home with minor things not taken care of. Five stars for the views, three stars for the above issues. Sorry to say.

Family vacation 23

We really enjoyed the home. The views were amazing and we loved seeing the wildlife. Kitchen well stocked and had everything we needed. Only issue we had was the smell in basement. It seems that the guests prior to us let a pet urinate in the basement and the smell was so strong we couldn’t enjoy the basement space. We didn’t let this stop us as there is so much outdoor space to enjoy.

Off The Grid!

Definitely need 4-Wheel Drive to get all the way to the top where this awesome house sits. Worth the effort though, because it was private and gave us Floridians the snowy mountain-life experience we were seeking!
