WRONG LOCATION, BUGS BUGS BUGS, damage charges claimed in error
We had a very hard time finding the property as the location on the map and given address were wrong. Every person staying except one woke up covered in bug bites. Excessively hot and no screens nor mosquito nets were provided. We had to go and buy mosquito nets ourselves. We were charged a cleaning fees as we moved a portable fan from one room to another to combat the heat when trying to sleep and to keep the bugs away. A shower head attachment (to keep shower handle attached to wall) broke when shower was turned on and we informed the owner. In good faith, we assumed he would see that it was very old and had worn out. It came to a surprise when we saw a 150 euro damage claim attached to our credit card.
We rented a different house in AlJezur to get away from the constant bugs and had a very pleasant experience. The location was much closer to restaurants than this was. I have sent picture of all the bug bites to the owner and would happily share them with anyone that would see.
I’ve stayed in dozens of short term rentals and VRBOs and always had exceptionally pleasant experiences. Unfortunately, this was the first negative one and I hope I can help fellow travellers avoid the same fate as me.
I would highly recommend against staying here and look elsewhere for your stay.
