Séjour très agréable chez Simon , Quinta , dont la géographie est l’atout majeur . Un refuge dans la nature , à deux pas de l’agitation alentour où l’on peut se baigner marcher aller à la plage sans prendre la voiture . Accueil charmant . Vous restez dans un esprit décalé ici .

Ein wundervoller, paradiesischer Ort in einer himmlisch ruhigen Lage.mit Garten und Badesee Man kann zum Strand zu Fuß gehen. Man kann alle Wanderhighlights erreichen, wenn man ein Auto hat. Die Gastgeber sind sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich.

Wunderbarer Entspannungsort mit einmalig schönem Blick auf das Meer, sehr guter Ausstattung und Schwimmteich. Schöne Strände sind mit einem Spaziergang zu erreichen.

Exceptionnel !
Nous avons passé 15 jours fabuleux dans la villa Celeiro. Une vue splendide de notre terrasse et du jardin. Nous avons adoré cette maison atypique. L’environnement est très agréable et calme. Les joies de la tranquillité et en même temps à 10mn de Lagos et 30mn de plein de spots touristiques. Nous avons passé de super moments dans la magnifique piscine d’eau naturelle. Nos enfants se sont beaucoup amusés et ont adoré les visites des chiens et chat 😊 Un grand merci à Ana Maria et son fils Simon qui nous ont accueilli chaleureusement et qui ont été aux petits soins et toujours dans l’échange. Nous étions tous tristes de partir. On reviendrai avec grand plaisir !

Delightful country cottage
If you prefer getting away from the crush of tourists and get a feel of rural Portugal, then this rustic little cottage, in a shallow arroyo, on top of the cliffs of the Algarve coast is a great, peaceful place to hang your hat for a while. Ana Maria (the on-site property owner) has lived here for nearly forty years and her graciousness personifies the place she has chosen to call home.

Die Quinta ist ein wunderbarer Ort, um zu entspannen und vom Alltag Abstand zu bekommen.
Wir haben selten einen so wunderbaren Urlaub verbracht wie in der Quinta da Faleria. Die Gastgeber Ana Maria und Simon sind herzenswarme Menschen, die sich sehrvum das Wohl der Gäste kümmern. Lage und Umgebung der Quinta, die Aufteilung des Hauses und die unmittelbare Nähe zur Natur sind einzigartig und unbedingt empfehlenswert. Danke Ana Maria und Simon für die schöne Zeit an der Westalgarve.

Simply paradise!
the house is not luxury in terms of facilities, but absolute luxury in terms of location: secluded on a large property near the cliffs with fantastic views of the Atlantic from the terrace. Villa Celeiro is, as the name suggests, a converted barn with old beams, lots of charm and a smart and good arrangement of rooms. open concept of rooms over three levels. We all felt very comfortable and the hospitality and care from the hosts was just perfect. It could not have been better!

Wir waren Anfang Oktober da und hatten 25 bis 30 Grad. Sehr guter Kontakt zu den netten und hilfsbereiten Vermietern Superschönes, riesiges wildes Grundstück mit weitem unverbautem Blick aufs Meer. Mit diesem Blick haben wir auf der Terasse gefrühstückt. Sehr schöner sauberer Schimmteich. 2 Hunde und eine Katze auf dem Gelände. Es war sehr schön. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Bis zum Strand (beide ca. gleich weit weg) zu Fuß an den Klippen entlang ca. 25 Min. Wunderschöner Weg. Sehr ruhig! bis auf eine Pumpe hinterm Haus, die man aus einem Schlafzimmer hört. Mit geschlossenem Fenster aber kein Problem. Mit Krabbelkindern vielleicht eher nicht geeignet wg. der Treppe ohne Begrenzung.

Magnificient location and ocean view; cosy house
We really enjoyed our stay at the quinta of Ana Maria. She is a wonderful host. Upon arrival she proudly showed us around the property which consists of a main house, a connected apartment, and the separate house Celeiro (where we stayed). The property extends all the way to the ocean where you can walk on the edge of fantastic cliffs. Eventually this path leads to the beach. The swimming pool/pond is really nice, also because the temperature is higher compared to the ocean. The Celeiro house has its own private terrace, garden, BBQ. It is cosy, clean and has all necessary utilities like dishwasher and washing machine are available.

Rustikale Unterkunft mit traumhafter Aussicht
Die Beschreibung des Inserates passt zu 100%. Die Vermieterin Ana Maria ist sehr herzlich, die Kommunikation funktioniert einwandfrei, auch mit ihrem Sohn Simão. Man muss es rustikal mögen oder sich darauf einlassen, was das separate Ferienhäuschen betrifft. Es ist umfassend ausgestattet mit allem, was man braucht. Gleichwohl viel schlicht selfmade. Wir mögen das. Erforderlich ist ein Auto. Die letzten Meter der Sackgassen-Zufahrt brauchen beim ersten Mal ein wenig Mut bzw. Zutrauen (Schotterpiste). Der Ausblick von der privaten Terrasse ist traumhaft und kommt bei der Beschreibung eigentlich viel zu kurz. Wir haben insbesondere das Frühstück mit Meerblick sehr genossen. Wir würden dieses Anwesen definitiv wieder buchen.

Wer die Ruhe und die schöne Umgebung genießen kann, der kann hier einfach entspannen
Ana Maria ist ein liebenswerte Gastgeberin. Wir kamen nachts um 2.00 Uhr am Ferienhaus an. Der Check in erfolgte reibungslos. Sie war so lieb und kaufte etwas zum Frühstück für uns ein, so konnten wir den ersten Urlaubstag entspannt beginnen. Die Umgebung ist traumhaft, zu Fuß in die Stadt Lagos 40 Minuten..., wir haben uns immer für das Auto entschieden. In der kleinen Ferienanlage hat jeder die Möglichkeit im wunderbaren Schwimmteich sich etwas abzukühlen. Etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, wenn man nur einen Poool kennt. Wir haben sehr wohl gefühlt.

Un séjour fantastique dans la Quinta Falesia
Nous avons passé un super be séjour avec mes deux ados à Quinta da Falesia. La maison est très bien située, avec une vue sur l'océan et l'océan au bout du jardin. Le jardin est très joli et appréciable et nous avons pou profiter de la piscine naturelle. Nous avons été très bien accueillies par Ana Maria, ce séjour a largement contribué à rendre exceptionnel notre voyage au Portugal. La maison est au calme tout en étant à proximité de toutes commodités, et elle est très bien équipée. Nous étions tristes de partir et ne pensons qu'à y retourner !

Exceptional place with exceptional people
We absolutely loved the Quinta with the big garden and the property reaching up to the cliff. The house was really beautiful and we enjoyed every morning having breakfast on the terrace. Our kids loved the garden, the dog, cat, and the chickens. The owners and caretakers were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. We will definitely come again!

The house is one of the buildings of an old farm, far from the crowds but in walking distance of the cliffs and a beautiful beach. It has been beautifully renovated, lacks nothing and the views are stunning. We found Ana Maria and Simon to be enthusiastic and helpful hosts.

What a beautiful, charming and quiet place just a few minutes outside of Lagos! Anna, who has during the years transformed this exceptional place, which used to be a traditional farm house before into a unique retreat for her family, is a lovely host, very helpful. House, bathroom and kitchen are well equipped, no complaints whatsoever. Actually, I'd much rather like to keep this place as a secret so that hopefully it would never change, but it definitely deserves 5 stars all the way! Thanks for having us!

Séjour au calme dans la nature
Nous avons apprécié le confort de l'appartement spacieux. Il se trouve dans un cadre champêtre et calme dans un grand jardin. Il y a une jolie vue sur la mer au loin et les champs depuis la terrasse. Un chemin se trouve au bout du jardin en haut des falaises qui dominent la mer. De belles balades permettent alors de longer ces falaises pour rejoindre les plages d'un côté ou de l'autre.

Das kleine, charmant und liebevoll eingerichtete Haus liegt wunderschön im Grünen, nur wenige Meter von den phantastischen Klippenwanderwegen entfernt. Ein idealer Ort für alle, die Ruhe schätzen und es genießen, zu Fuß ins nahegelegne Luz oder zum Strand zu spazieren. Wir sind auch mal abends eine gute Stunde nach Lagos gewandert. Einfach ein geniale Lage und mit Ana Maria eine sehr freundliche Gastgeberin. Wir kommen nächstes Jahr wieder.

Peace and love
Een gezellig huisje gelegen in een prachtige omgeving met adembenemende uitzichten. Je kan de liefde en zorg die er door de jaren heen in het huis is gestoken echt voelen. De tuin is een juweeltje met allerhande prachtige bloemen en planten en door verschillende vogelsoorten bezocht. Gelegen tussen 2 prachtige baaien die op wandelafstand gelegen zijn, perfect voor een leuke wandeling met of zonder hond. Met pijn in het hart vertrokken, we hadden er nog wel enkele weken kunnen vertoeven. Heerlijk.

Tolles Ferienhaus mitten in der Natur
Das Ferienhaus liegt etwas abseits in einem großen Garten. Von der Terasse und dem Garten hat man einen wundervollen unverbauten Meerblick. Bis zur Kliffkante sind es nur wenige Minuten. Das Haus ist gemütlich eingerichtet und mit modernen Elektrogeräten und einem neuen Gasherd ausgestattet. Der perfekte Platz für erholsame Tage an der Algarve.

Absolutely amazing, if you enjoy solitude, Portugal countryside, yet close to shops / supermarkets. 10 minutes drive to beaches, 10 drive to Lagos centre, a beautiful part of Portugal and a good base for exploring the Western Algarve. Hosts amazing, live in caretaker lovely. We all loved the bio lake and swam every day 😃. Can't recommend enough.

Très bel endroit au calme !
Séjour fort sympathique dans cette maison simple mais bien situé. Nous n'avons pas eu la chance de voir les propriétaires mais Iryna, la gardienne était présente dans la minute au moindre problème ! La vue est à tomber et l'endroit est très calme. Attention cependant, la connexion Wi-Fi n'est pas très bonne et comme la maison se situe sur des falaises, l'accès à la mer est direct mais il faut bien compter une vingtaine de minutes. Le seul petit bémol c'était le papier WC qui ne doit pas être jeté dans les toilettes mais c'est fréquent au Portugal ! Merci 1000 fois pour ce logement !

Nice estate, but with flaws
We really liked the estate and enjoyed the silence and view very much. However, there were a few things in the house that we didn't like and expected differently: - We expected to use the pool with our daughter, but didn‘t know about the 3 snakes living in it. Naturally, she refused to get in the pool. - The kitchen equipment is very limited and old, for example the toaster and baking oven didn‘t work properly. - The beds are quite uncomfortable (and too short for tall people like me) and the blankets are too thin for the often chilly temperatures. - There is no WIFI. The signal from the neighboring house isn’t strong enough to enable you to do anything on the internet. - There are many old and used things in the house, like an old stereo system, old DVD player, old magazines from other people who stayed there etc. Of course, dust settles on all of these things. It would be better to through all that old stuff out and clean the place. If we had known about some of these things (e.g. the snakes!), we wouldn’t have rented the house. But the nature and the surrounding is great!

I was pinching myself when we arrived. Our little house was private, rustic and full of character.
Location is idyllic. Property was private and interesting. Everything there you need. Bring cds and dvds if you like evening entertainment. We were content with the stunning view, pond full of frogs, dragonflies, swifts flying all around and the sound of the sea and crickets. Absolutely beautiful. Iryna the housekeeper is so lovely and welcoming. Definitely recommend this property to nature lovers who like to get away from it all. Need a car. You can visit a different stunning beach everyday. Thank you Ana (property owner) for all your help with setting things up for us. We absolutely loved our stay.

Sensationelle Küstenregion
Das Ferienhaus Celeiro hat alles was man braucht, inkl. einer sehr netten und hilfsbereiten Hausmeisterin. Achtung, die zwei Hunde dort laufen gelegentlich frei herum, also wer Angst hat wie meine Frau, bitte bei Irina anmelden. Das Haus ist innen leider sehr muffig und feucht, auch nach einer Woche Anfang Mai war das trotz lüften nicht heraus zu bringen. Im Bad und Einbett-Schlafraum schon etwas sporig. Die Lage auf dem Land ist toll, mit dem Beschrieb trotz Koordinaten etwas schwer zu finden. Ausblick von Terrasse auf Garten und das wenig entfernte Meer toll.

eilige Renovierungsbedürftigkeit
Leider ist da seit >30Jahren keine Renovierung bes. auch des Mobiliars und Technik etc. (IKEA vor 40 Jahren) erfolgt. Statt vergammelter Wandsrahler abzumontieren wurde Stellgerät aufgestellt. Bad hat Selbstbau-Charme für Toilette wenig Platz und schlimm: Alte (!) Nutzungsanweisung für Toilette vor Verstopfung ganz schlimm: Für Papier (benutztes!) steht Eimer daneben zum Einwurf, man dürfe aber wenig ganz grob verschiertes benutztes Paier wegspülen. Matraze des großen Bett wandert bis morgens aus dem Bett.... Wunderschöne Lage aber das darf soo -schon länger- nicht sein. So wie angeboten für den Preis ist das m.E. schon eine ziemlich grobe Respektlosigkeit vor jedem Gast. Geht gar nicht mehr. Sehr Schade!

We are sorry to learn this guest was unhappy with the accommodation and facilities offered. We have a resident caretaker at Quinta da Falésia specifically to assist with any problem guests may find or have during their stay and nothing was reported to her. This is not a modern villa in style or character, nor is it described as such and the photos portray faithfully what it looks like.Not everyone likes this style, other guests have appreciated it.. We welcome and encourage any comments from guests either during or after their stay, which enable us to correct and improve the facilities we offer but we cannot change the character of Vila Celeiro. As I do not speak German the automatic translator may have altered somewhat the contents of this review, making it difficult to understand some of the complaints.

Traum-Lage und perfekte Entspannung
Unser Familienurlaub in der Vila Celeiro war ein echter Glücksgriff: Besonders gefiel uns die ruhige Lage der Unterkunft abseits der Stadt in der Natur, nur wenige hundert Meter von den Klippen entfernt mit Meerblick und Wellenrauschen auf der Terrasse. Die Vila liegt auf dem Grundstück etwas abseits vom Haupthaus und garantiert so ein Maximum an Privatsphäre. Dennoch liegt die Quinta so nah an Lagos, dass man innerhalb von 5-10 Minuten mit dem Auto Geschäfte, Restaurants und Strände bequem erreichen kann. Das Haus ist rustikal und zweckdienlich ausgestattet und hat dadurch besonderen und authentischen Charme. Sehr angenehm ist die Ausstattung mit einer Spül- und einer Waschmaschine. Die Gartenanlage ist sehr gepflegt und geschmackvoll angelegt, war aber jahreszeitlich bedingt im August etwas trocken (rund um das Haupthaus wird im Gegensatz zur Vila Celeiro offenbar öfters bewässert). Unsere Söhne nutzten den Badeteich auf dem Gelände begeistert (mein Fall war es nicht so...). Hinweis: Der Teich ist nicht durch einen Zaun gesichert, was dem optischen Gesamteindruck sicher zuträglich ist, für Familien mit kleineren Kindern aber evtl. problematisch sein kann (für unsere Teenager kein Problem). Die Haustiere (2 Hunde, mehrere Katzen) sind ganz lieb und zutraulich. Der Kontakt zu Vermieter, Verwaltern war ausgesprochen freundlich und herzlich aber stets angenehm unaufdringlich. Die Abwicklung verlief vollkommen reibungslos!

Die Lage ist fantastisch, mit Garten- und Meersicht, 300m von den Felsen entfernt. Man sieht nur Natur und ist ausserhalb von den touristischen Massen.... Es war ein richtiges portugiesisches Erlebnis in dieser typischen Quinta. Es hat auch einen natürlichen Pool! Traumhaft. Mit Meersicht. Das Innere ist rustikal und typisch altmodisch portugiesisch. Das Einzige was ich mir gewünscht hätte, ist eine modernere Küche aber im Nachhinein habe ich die Erfahrung und diesen Rückblick in die Vergangenheit super genossen. Ana Maria und Iryna waren sehr freundlich und sehr willkommen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und gelebt wie richtigen Portugiesen. Unsere Kinder haben sich in beiden Hunde verliebt. Es war sehr authentisch und gemütlich... wir vermissen es schon... Danke Ana Maria und Iryna!

Kleines Paradies
Wir verbrachten im Oktober eine Woche in der Villa Celeiro. Dieser Ort ist wirklich traumhaft schön. Die Quinta Falesia liegt mitten im Grünen, nur 3 Minuten zu den Klippen. Sehr gepflegter Garten. Von der Villa Celeiro blickt man auf die Felder und dahinter aufs Meer. Man kann den Sonnenaufgang von der Terrasse aus beobachten, den Sonnenuntergang bei den Klippen. Traumhaft. Das Haus ist gut ausgestattet. Die Einrichtung ist sehr gemütlich mit vielen liebevollen Details gestaltet. Wir wurden sehr freundlich von Irina und Ana Maria empfangen, die beiden waren sehr hilfsbereit. Der nette Hund Bruno hat die ganze Zeit aufgepasst, dass nichts passiert. Gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in Lagos, vor allem der Fischmarkt ist genial. Für uns hätte es nicht schöner sein können, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, es war einfach wunderbar und wir möchten so bald wie möglich wiederkommen. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit in der Villa Celeiro.

Entspannter Urlaub in traumhafter Landschaft
Wir hatten zwei sehr entspannte Wochen in der Villa Celeiro. Der Blick von der Terasse auf den Garten und die dahinterliegenden Felder, zwischen denen man das Meer sieht, ist traumhaft. Die Villa Celeiro liegt nicht direkt am Badeteich, sondern etwas weiter hinten mit einem eigenen Garten und abgeschirmter Terasse, so dass man hier ganz für sich ist. Den Garten mit dem Badeteich kann man natürlich trotzdem nutzen, was wir auch sehr gerne getan haben (zum Baden ist der Teich eher für Kinder geeignet, die schon schwimmen können, da man vom Steg aus direkt ins tiefe Wasser kommt). Den nächsten Strand kann man erreichen, indem man direkt hinter dem Haus an den Steilklippen entlang wandert. Für Erwachsene braucht man ca 30 Minuten, mit einem 3 und einem 5jährigen brauchten wir knapp 2 Stunden pro Strecke - ist dann also eher eine richtige Wanderung, aber wunderschön! Mit dem Auto braucht man etwa 10 Minuten zu den Stränden von Lagos und Luz. Die Besitzerin und die Housekeeper sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und waren immer erreichbar. Die Villa Celeiro ist sehr schlicht eingerichtet. Die Küche könnte etwas besser ausgestattet sein, das Doppelbett im Elternschlafzimmer ist schon sehr durchgelegen, ansonsten ist die Ausstattung Ok. Wenn man hier mit Kindern Urlaub macht, muss man wissen, dass in dem Haus einige Treppen und halbhohe Wände sind, die nicht gesichert werden können - also eher für ältere Kinder. Spielzeug war nicht im Haus, aber uns wurde netterweise eine Kiste Legos und ein Schaukelpferd zur Verfügung gestellt, worüber sich die Jungs sehr gefreut haben. Zum Anwesen gehören auch zwei sehr liebe Wachhunde, die uns, zur großen Freude unserer Kinder, oft auf der Terrasse besucht haben. Wir hatten hier einen wirklich tollen Urlaub und können uns gut vorstellen widerzukommen. Vielen Dank!

A Piece of Paradise
We stayed at this beautiful place for more than one month and enjoyed it very much. The garden is a Piece of Paradise. There are a lot of flowers, birds, frogs and two cute dogs who are watching out over the farm. The farm is a romantic place where you can enjoy the seaview and the bird chirping. The sunrise on the terrace is awesome and the view over the cliffs and the green hills are amazing. Irina and Oleksiy are great care takers. They were very friendly, helpful and supportive. Ana Maria and Jane gave us a lot of information about Portugal. We will definitively recommend this place to our friends and would consider going back.

Propriété à 100 mètres des falaises, avec vu sur mer. A proximité de tout! Piscine écologique. Maison très agréable, se situant dans un lieu isolé, sans voisin. Très reposant. Super séjour !

Press pause and rewind.
Take a trip back in time to an era when life was way simpler. Our stay on this rustic farm was as refreshing to the soul as a dip in the cold dam on the farm was to the body! A great location giving you a sense of isolation but close enough to Lagos for a short hop into town for supplies. Simple accommodation with just the right level of creature comforts. Thanks Ana Maria for a lovely week. We would definitely consider going back.

Nearly perfect
We stayed at Villa Celeiro for 10 days in spring 2016. It is a beautiful place, especially in this time of the year. A nice house surrounded by a beautiful garden. Quiet, in nature, but only 10 minutes from Lagos and the beach by car. The house has a pleasant atmosphere. The owner Ana Maria is very friendly and helpful. Our kids like the nature and the frogs in the pool, but prefer an ordinary blue pool. Two small points of criticism: the house could have been a little bit cleaner (not the beds, they were clean) and the wifi only works 5 meters outside the house. But I would definitely come here again!

Dear guest, thank you so much for your comments! It is always important to know what you enjoy most and what you would suggest is improved. Wifi is a struggle most times, but usually works when you are on the terrace, not inside the house... regrettably unable to improve that, despite many attempts with local provider. As for the deficient cleaning, for which I apologise, one word from you when you noticed this and the resident caretakers would have taken care of it immediately. We look forward to your next visit to Vila Celeiro!
