We were hoping this property would become a frequent weekend getaway venue because we live in the Algarve and really like the town of Lagos. The location was excellent - very central, in the old town and by the waterfront, in the middle of everything. Unfortunately, on arrival we were told that breakfast would be served in another location. We had chosen this location specifically because I have an injured ankle, but now we had to walk what was a short distance but very steep street to have breakfast. So we did not go back for breakfast after the first day.
The bathroom was shockingly inadequate; there was no space around the washbasin, nowhere to put even a toothbrush. No bathmat for the shower so we had to use one of the towels to mop up the floor after each shower. The booking said tea/coffee maker and minibar in the room, which turned out to be a kettle and some herbal teas but no coffee, milk or sweetener, and really no place to make a cup of tea.
With some more care and attention to what guests really need, this place could be a good experience.
