Personal muy amable! Nos gustó mucho la habitación familiar, que en verdad son 2, unidas por un pequeño recibidor que da mucha intimidad. Destacar que todo son escaleras, no es apto para personas con silla de ruedas, a no ser que dispongan de una habitación en planta baja o ascensor... pero no lo vimos. Para nosotros no fue un problema, repetiremos en este bonito hotel a la próxima! Desayuno completo y muy rico 😋

El alojamiento estaba muy bien, limpio, cuidado, con un trato inmejorable! Lo recomiendo completamente. Es verdad que la habitación se queda un poco pequeña con la cama supletoria pero volvería sin dudarlo

La ubicación excelente. Lo malo que tiene el hotel, es pedir una cama extra qué es inadecuada para una habitación tan pequeña va muy justa y es muy incómoda

Amazing location on the riverfront. Ferry directly across from hotel which takes you to the Tavira Island beach. The staff are beyond welcoming and friendly. Hotel is well maintained with a nice breakfast (coffee/tea, juices, scrambled and boiled eggs, bacon, breads, meats, cheese, yogurt, cereal, fruit). There are many restaurants, cafe’s, grocery markets and a great liquor store within walking distance. I would totally recommend this hotel.

Bon établissement et bien situé seulement, la chambre était petite et la salle de bain plutôt désuète. Mieux vaut réserver une chambre un peu plus grande surtout pour rester plus d’une nuit. Bon petit déjeuner. Personnel accueillant et serviable.

Lovely hotel in great area beside the boat terminal for Tavira island. Breakfast was great and all the staff really helpful and lovely. Couldn’t fault it and I would return.

The hotel is well located in the centre of the downtown area facing the canal. My room was comfortable; however, it was pretty small—the same thing as the bathroom. If you plan to stay here, bring your shampoo and conditioner, as none is provided. The hotel does not have elevators, so be ready to go upstairs with your luggage, or you may ask for assistance. I would recommend this hotel if you’re looking for the convenience of location and a price range.

Residencial Marés is well located in the Tavira downtown area. At first impression, my room looked spotless; however, once I took my first shower, the water sprayed through the shower door and onto the floor. I had to use all my towels to wipe up the floor. This issue was brought to the owners' attention; however, to fix the shower, they would have to rebuild it. I spent eight days without an efficient shower. Also, although the place was clean, there were areas where the paint was peeled from the ceiling and the walls. I was under the impression that this hotel was recently renovated. If so, there is still work that needs to be done. The owners seem aware of this issue and have not repaired the shower. As I was leaving, my room was already booked for another guest. Breakfast was included with my stay. However, I must say that the eggs and bacon and even the pastries were cold no matter what time of the morning I had breakfast. I would reconsider another place before staying at this hotel for future visits. Fortunately, the beauty of the village of Tavira made up for the struggles I experienced with this hotel. If you plan to stay at this hotel, please bring your own shampoo and conditioner and lotion as none as provided. Also, there was no iron in the room.

The way off going on with the guest at the reception was just great. if you compare with big hotels the staff understand and speaks very well English I like. the traditional and spacious bathroom. And the correct and honest information that the young lady off the reception gave me was also something that i really appreciate.

Clean, Comfort & Very Convenient! Hotel in the old style, with very helpful staff! Unfortunate Storm of great magnitude on my last evening which caused a great deal of water seepage in the bedrooms, which didn’t bother me, some customers complained but the locals were grateful for…..water is very precious here! 👍 Good selection at breakfast although because of the heavy rain, some deliveries didn’t make it the final morning. 😢 I would certainly stay here again, good value for money! P.S. Hotel is situated opposite to Ferry Point to the Golden Sands of Praia di Tavira! 😎🌞👍

Fabulous Portuguese property in the heart of Tavira. Our two rooms had balconies with a view over the river, beautiful spot. Room service was excellent and the front desk staff were most knowledgeable about the area, its sights, and its services. We would definitely return again for a couple more warm sunny weeks in January.

Friendly helpful staff. Rooms were small but clean. Enjoyed sitting out on the little balcony. Excellent location very close to restaurants, cafes, shops. The ferry to the Ilha de Tavira is across the street.

Gastvrij en klantvriendelijk personeel. Hotel is ondergebracht in een authentiek pand, dat vroeger te maken had met de visserij. Gebouw heeft veel trappen en geen lift. Dus je moet wel spierballen hebben om je koffers boven te krijgen. Ontbijt is zeer uitgebreid!

Wondeeful property within walking distance of everything you would want to see. Close to the historic sites and the ferry to the beach. Qaint shops throughout the area. Property is older, but clean and well cared for. The staff were excellent, very friendly, very helpful, and when we were leaving for the train station an hour and a half before breakfast was available, we told tjem the night before, and they make breakfast for us to take. Charming place and charming staff.
