Beautiful place and lovely people
This is a gorgeous place. Well laid out in lovely gardens with your own little cottage. The cottage itself had a small kitchen, bedroom and bathroom with agreat walk in shower. All beautifully furnished. Breakfast was included and we were offered a choice of eggs as well as croissants, pastries, coffee etc. Very easy walk down to Tavira which we loved. Finally the owners and staff were all kind and helpful. A 5 star experience all round. Thank you everyone.

Un lugar con encanto
Pasamos una semana en verano en una de las casas. La casa es acogedora, muy cómoda y bien cuidada. El deaayuno genial. En general., la atención recibida ha sido perfecta.

Hotel con encanto.
Hotel con encanto dentro de una población muy bonita del Algarve. La propietaria nos ayudó con sus indicaciones a descubrir la zona y nos sugirió varias visitas muy recomendables, la playa de Barril y el pueblecito de Cacela Velha. La habitación amplia y con todo el sabor original de la decoración con mobiliario antiguo. El desayuno al calor de la chimenea con productos variados y zumo de naranja natural también fue un aspecto positivo de nuestra estancia.

We have stayed at the Quinta do Carcol several times and we love it. Each cottage is unique and well equiped and set in beautiful well kept gardens. The staff are all really friendly & helpful. Its an easy 10 minute walk walk into Tavira, a lovely Portugese town with lots of restaurants to choose from. We will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful stay. The accommodation has the authentic look and feel of Portugal so you immediately feel at home. The hosts and staff are super friendly and helpful. You can walk to the center in 10 minutes and to the train station in less than 5. Tavira is a nice town that does not feel crowded or touristy.

This was our favorite place in the Algarve! Not only is Tavira a lovely town, not so built up like all the others, but Quinta de Caracol is a soothing oasis. Yes, a bit of a walk into town but very doable but it's lovely, quiet, the rooms are each different and so comfortable. The grounds and small pool so wonderful for relaxation. And the two sisters who run it so kind. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Like a country estate
Lots of places to sit by a fountain or in a garden. It felt like a stay at a country estate - only a 10-minute walk from town center. Loved the distant view of the sea from near the pristine tennis courts. A former family farm - there is still a small orange grove, chickens, a peacock, parakeets and even a family of guinea pigs much to my amusement and delight! Very clean, comfortably furnished. Wonderful breakfast - warm croissants, eggs cooked to order, plus much more! Great staff!

Great stay
We spent two brief but enjoyable nights at Quinta do Caracol at the end of November. We booked a 2 bedroom apartment and the space was great, clean and comfortable. There were two bedrooms, 2 full bathrooms, and great communal living area and kitchen. With a Lidl and Aldi both within walking distance it was convenient to pick up some groceries for breakfast and snacks for our stay. The property was serene with lots of water fountains, birds and orange trees. A very peaceful location and easily walkable to the city center, the location and value were perfect.

Absolutely beautiful place
The most beautiful place for a holiday in Tavira. We stayed in the room Papoila, which was meant for two people, but we had an extra bed for our teenager, and it worked well. The room was spacious and clean (cleaned on a daily basis) and had a small functional kitchenette with a fridge and small freezer. Furthermore, we had the best working and silent air conditioning ever! Pool and garden area was really cosy. Not the biggest pool if you bring smaller children, but for 15+ it was perfect. Breakfast lovely with freshly made orange juice and a great variety of bread, fruit etc. The owners and the other members of staff made us feel welcome and were always happy to help and give us good advice and recommendations. Quinta do caracol is only a 10-minute walk to the centre of Tavira with shops and restaurants.

Amazing hotel in Tavira!!
This is the place to be in Tavira! The surroundings are maybe a little sketchy but once you enter the hotel you are in heaven. Very nice rooms/suites. Beautiful garden with a small pool. The staff is extremely helpful and nice. And the breakfast... an amazing assortment of all you might need (pastries, bread, cheese, eggs, fruits, etc) - and don't forget the orange juice. The best you will ever drink!

Très belle escale typique avec accueil chaleureux
Ensemble de bâtiments typiquement portugais (quintal, ancienne ferme), en périphérie très proche de Ravira (accès à pied). Accueil très chaleureux et serviable (notre voiture a eu un problème de batterie, on nous a dépanné sur place avec des pinces..) Petits déjeuners buffet remarquables, fruits frais, jus d'orange maison extra, œufs au choix, etc... Parc paysager rempli d'arbres en fleurs, orangers, citronniers, bougainvilliers etc.., nombreux bancs, petites pièces d'eau etc... très joli. Seul petit bémol, une ville qui approche du site...

Charming Quinta
First trip to Tavira - we were out of season (poor weather in early March). Couldn't use pretty gardens or pool. Traditional Quinta charming, but needs some updates. Breakfast very good. Internet sporadic. Owners and staff very nice & helpful. Car drive to city center & good restaurants.

Nice holiday location.
Excellent from beginning till end. Nice informative reception. Perfect room and delicious breakfast. It’s a 10 - 15 Minute walking distance to bars and restaurants

En annorlunda oas i stan.
En lite oas när man tröttnat på små hotellrum. Det var november och det tog tid att få upp värmen i boendet... Luftkonditioneringen som gav värme klickade och blinkade på natten, bra att veta vintertid om man är känslig för det. Trevligt boende annars.

such charming hotel
lovely hosts, this was an old farm which got converted in hotel rooms. Very charming and peaceful, great breakfast.
