Be mindful of additional requirements and fees
Convenient location. However, the listing did not mention having to provide passport info prior to arrival in order to get check-in details. I was uncomfortable providing the info, and I was not even in physical possession of my passport at the time as I was picking it up in another city en route (this was a somewhat last minute trip--and I booked about a week and a half before I traveled). I told the owner I would provide the info upon arrival, had the friend who was joining me forward their info, but this was still not enough. I was told it would be 25 euro for an assistant to collect that passport info on behalf of the owner, then the owner posted an additional fee of 30 euro to the booking. I had my office fax a copy of my passport and sent that to the owner a couple days before my arrival--which he confirmed receiving and finally provided the check-in info. Nearly a month after the trip and I am still being asked to pay the owner 30 euro...for a service that was not provided...for a requirement that was not included in the listing. I have reported it to VRBO, but they have been of little assistance. I found no magic here--just unexpected pre- (and now post)-trip stress at a time that was very busy for me.

I’m sorry but you’ve made your check in stressful and complicated. You’ve constantly denied and avoid to identify yourself. Your friend did it immediately whiteout any problem. By low is mandatory to declare each guest. I’ve explained you that several times. For me it’s a fine up to 2000€ if I don’t do that. Imagine how uncomfortable I would feel. I was not in Portugal during your stay and second option (personal check in) was available (extra charge). At the end you’ve accepted to identify yourself and you’ve got immediately check in instructions. It’s very easy procedure if you respect the low and follow the instructions.

Beautiful stay
Beautiful property in a very central location. We were able to cook in using the good assortment of dishes/ cooking utensils or be seated at an excellent restaurant in a few minutes. We saw a lot of the gorgeous city, beach and sanctuary as well as visiting local cork factory. The only drawback was that it was on the 3rd floor so the stairs was sometimes a challenge at the end of a long day. But the view! Worth it.

Great Location, Not Great Parking
The apartment was clean, the beds were comfortable, there was a nice small terrace and it was in a good location for downtown Faro. The tricky part was the parking. It’s on-street and metered but the meter’s don’t take credit cards or paper euros, only coins. Or you can use an app but you have to have a bank account at a specific bank which we did not have. There is a free, large municipal parking lot by the Castelo which is about a 8-10 minute walk away so we ended up parking there.

Ivan is an excellent host! Highly recommended place to stay
The location is perfect! Its close to restaurants, necessities, etc. Ivan is an extremely gracious and responsive host. Our stay was perfect. We’d recommend this place if you’re visiting Faro.

Emplacement idéal.Appartement bien tenu et la laveuse à linge bien appréciée! Appartement moderne. Pas de cachet mais bien pratique. Nous n’avons eu les renseignements pour entrer que le jour même ce qui était un peu stressant mais il faut simplement ne pas attendre avant de lui écrire.

J'ai adoré l'appartement. C'était propre et confortable. La femme de ménage qui nous a accueilli était sympatique. J'ai deux bémol, la première est la difficulté de trouver un stationnement gratuit proche de l'appartement et le deuxième est que l'information des codes pour entrer est arrivé deux heures plus tard après notre arrivé à 14:30. C'est plus stressant quand nous sommes avec des enfants. Mais une fois à l'intérieur tout le stress est parti.

Excellent location and super clean!
This property Matt or exceeded all of our expectations. It is well located and was very clean. The single beds were super comfortable. My only recommendation is that when we first arrived it would have been good to have him show us around the place a little bit, to point out the apartment's features. We did end up asking a few more questions and figuring everything out so it wasn't a big deal. There was a little street noise and as I'm a light sleeper I just used earplugs. We highly recommend this choice!

It's a beautifully equipped apt with a lot of homy touches in a quiet neighborhood, especially love the plants around the balcony and windows. The only thing which could be nicer is the bathroom door which made a squeaky sound.

Simply the Best
Ivan and Felisbela could not have done any more for us, from the warmest of welcomes at the airport the tour of Faro pointing out places that might interest to us to opening the door of the marvellous Magic Theater that was to be our home for 4 nights. Ivan proved the perfect host and Magic Theater is the perfect base for your stay in beautiful Faro. They have missed nothing in their effort to make it home from home and the location is incredible right in the heart of the city. This apartment had it all! Great location with a bright clean space. We were so pleased to have all the amenities including a few extra kitchen condiments that came in handy. Friendly service. Comfortable. Even the TV was easy to use. All the details were there. We will stay here again!

Cute place, great location
We loved staying here. We were able to walk to most things in the downtown Lisbon area, or catch a tram to things a bit further away. The apartment is cute and well-appointed. If you do use the second (twin-sized) bed, be aware that it has big windows and gets bright early, in case you're the kind that likes to sleep in. The mattress is relatively comfortable though, as is the queen sized one. Can't beat the view of the river.

Fantastic Algarve apartment close to all the main attractions of Faro with excellent service
Fantastic apartment, typical Algarve build. We've arrived at a spotless-clean flat, Felisbella has been meeting us on time at the airport, even despite the fact that our flights had been rearranged. All very comfortable for a family of 4, nice amenities (even a lot of bath towels..why we've been taking them with ourself? :-) ) . The location is superb - you are 5-6 minutes from a municipal market (I mean - real market - strike a bargain, talk with people, snatch the best fish in the morning or fruits later) and large Aushan supermarket at one side , and all main attractions and museum - at another side. A lot of nice local cafe/restaurnts in the neighborhood. Another 7 minutes - and you are at the marina (e.g. next to the ferry boats, for example). For super-senstive people - if you want to sleep with open widnows - be aware that you are in South country right now, e..g there are night activities around, folks enjoying life. But, all bedrooms have airco, so - you have the choice. Communication with Ivan and Felisbella have been very smooth and pleasant. The price/quality ration is excellent. It's not our first vistit to Faro, but next time - we will defintely try to book with Ivan again

This is a beautiful apartment. It’s modern, quiet, very clean, and has everything you might need to enjoy your stay in Faro. Communications with Ivan the property manager were excellent. Very nice overall.

Ein echtes Schnäppchen! Wir haben die Zeit in der liebevoll und geschmackvoll eingerichteten Wohnun mit allem Komfort sehr genossen und fanden die Kommunikation mit Ivan sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Lärmempfindliche könnten sich evt. an dem regen Flugverkehr dicht über der Wohnung stören, für uns war das aber angesichts der tollen City- Lage in der ruhigen Seitenstraße in Ordnung. Gerne wieder!

Two nights in Faro
We loved the apartment it is very clean, decorated nicely and centrally located. It also has essentials like toilet paper, detergent etc. Felisabella met us at the station and took us to the apartment making check in easy and welcoming. The city was lovely and if we return (which we will) we would choose this apartment again.

The apartment was very nice (lots of room), the location was excellent & the host was very helpful (picked us up from the bus station & gave us great suggestions on where to eat). The only downside was how noisy it was outside on both nights (someone was having a good time). Oh yeah, if there is more than 1 person, take shorter showers as the hot water tank is not too big.

It was lovely and spacious and the beds were so comfortable, we are looking at getting the same mattresses. The apartment is centrally located, 5 minutes walk to pedestrian walkways and 8 - 10 minutes walk to Mercado Municipal and other historical sites. I would stay here again.

Everything was perfect!
Like the title, everything was perfect. The very clean apartment is on the third floor of a very well located building with a large balcony at the front and a smaller one on the side where there is a clothesline. The beds and pillows are comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped, the bathroom with a large shower and the living room. The friendly and welcoming owner gave us explanations and recommendations on the city and he even helped us with our suitcases. If we had to return to Faro we would book in the same place. Thank you Ivan.

Ideal place to relax
It was just perfect! Many thanks to Ivan and Felisbela for being always responsive and helpful - and for providing airport transfer. We felt really comfortable right from the beginning. The apartment has a good size, it is neat and clean, very bright and nicely furnished with several plants. We were happy to live so close to the centre (with Baixa pedestrian streets, coffee bars and mercearias around the corner) and yet in a quiet neighbourhood. The balcony goes over two rooms - we liked to sit there in the afternoon sun. It is very well equipped (with a good amount of towels, dishwasher tabs etc., lots of tableware and cutlery and even fish knives). We would love to stay there again and highly recommend it.

Great place to stay and location. Thumbs up for Felisbela was waiting on train station, give a good guide the places should visit in Faro and other areas. The apartment is beautiful, comfortable and has unique feature. If you are renting a car the parking is little hard to park at time you can't find parking space and little far from the apartment or otherwise you have to pay in front the building with meters.

Lovely apartment close to Faro old town
The apartment was really nice and clean. The location was great. The supermarket and many other shops and restaurants can be reached within 5 minutes. Ivan was a good host. Communication was easy. He has also organized an airport transfer for us. We really enjoyed our time there.
