Falta animacion para los niños. Hay una sala grande con juguetes pero estaria bien que hicieran alguna actividad programada. Por lo demas todo muy bien. Apartamento amplio con cama comoda. Parking gratuito. Piscina compartida con otro hotel pero siempre encontramos tumbonas libres tanto por la mañana como por la tarde. Muy completo con servicios de peluqueria y estetica, gimnasio, piscina interior... Fiel a las fotos que anuncian el hotel. Recomendable coche para conocer Algarve.

Un hotel fantástico, nos quedamos encantados. La habitación muy amplia, limpieza todos los días y muy bien. Muy amables y cercano a playas. Recomendable 100%.

Moderno y nuevo, importante
Nos a gustado mucho esta nuevisimo y muy equipado, limpio , comodo , moderno, estabamos como en casa. Por poner algo q no sea positivo, la cristalera del baño queda precioso, pero intimidad poca y pondria un espejito en el aseo, pero todo es para gustos.

I loved the suite because it was large & very comfortable. The price was amazing however they charged for pool towels & the use of the safe! Walking distance to a grocery store. A bit far from the Old Town of Albufeira however we did walk it once. An Uber was 4 Euros. Close to a few good restaurants as well! 2pools also which was nice! Outside pool not heated. I do recommend this hotel!

The room was comfortable but a bit dated. The blowdryer was one of the boxed units attached to the wall (circa 1970), but it worked fine. Lobby was really quite nice. I would have used the indoor pool sauna and jaccuzi but you are required to wear a bathing cap...which I dont have. You also have to rent pool towels to use at the indoor and outdoor pools

Das Hotel ist gut gelegen. Schon ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen. Es gab keine Kaffeemaschine, nur einen Wasserkocher. Küche war minimals ausgestattet.

We are a family of four (two adults, two teenagers) who are fairly well travelled. We were really looking forward to our stay at The Luna having travelled some of Portugal and Spain before arriving. Sadly, we were quite disappointed. Upon arrival at 3:55 pm we were told we couldn’t check in until 4:00 pm and then were told at 4 that our room wasn’t ready. The front desk were unkind, often telling to refer to the hotel paper they provided if we had questions. Things felt very controlled (don’t ask for towels to be replaced) and dated. Additionally, it was noisy with many young adults partying and no control over noise. Consider different accommodations if you’re a travelling family.

Schrecklich und nie wieder!! Das Hotel ist nicht familienfreundlich, sondern eher eine Herberge für Englische Sauftouristen. Wir waren mit unseren beiden Kindern (5 und 7) insgesamt eine Woche lang in diesem Partybunker. Der ganze Aufenthalt war davon geprägt, dass sich dort gewaltige Horden von Englischen Säufern aufgehalten haben. In der ersten Nacht machten diese mit 25 Mann eine Party direkt neben unserem Schlafzimmer. Bis in die frühen Morgenstunden wurde laut gesungen, gegröllt von Balkon zu Balkon geschrien. Es flogen unentweg Sachen von dem Balkon in den Pool (Bierflaschen, Schuhe etc) jeden Morgen schwam irgendwas im Pool. Eine Woche lang nur Besoffene. Tagsüber belagerte der Mob den Pool mit Bierflaschen. Auf unsere Beschwerde reagierte man schon betroffen, wir bekamen ein anderes Zimmer...mit hässlicher Sicht auf den Parkplatz. Man sagte uns, man sei diesem Leuten halt irgendwie ausgeliefert, man könne nicht soviel machen. Die Engländer sind halt so. Also, um es klarzustellen. Die Mitarbeiter dieses Hotels sind sehr nett und sehr bemüht. Allerdings ist es kein Familienhotel (wie es im Internet explizit angegeben ist). Nicht mit solchen Gästen. Für uns war dieses Hotel leider ein Reinfall. Ein weiterer Kritikpunkt: Es wurde wenig Service geboten. Es gab unfassbar schlechten Kaffee zum Frühstück. Instantbrühe, und an der Bar war tagsüber auch nie jemand. Alles in allem für Familien nicht zu empfehlen.

We had a great stay in this hotel. Nearby shops and restaurants on the strip but quiet at nights. Very clean and cleaning staff who tended to our room were very pleasant

Okay but not what it used to be.
We have visited this hotel before in 2019 and stayed in a lovely room on the top floor. We arrived and check in appeared at first to be easy, we were sent to our room what I believed was going to be the same or similar to what we’ve stayed in previously , we soon noticed that this was not the room we had booked & paid for it was just a standard twin room. We returned to reception and were told there are only twin rooms remaining, after me being fairly persistent that we were not having a twin room as we had paid for a studio room which is advertised as having a double and a single bed. We were made to feel like an inconvenience for wanting a double bed, we were eventually given a room with a double bed, I am still not believing this is the studio room we paid for and just a standard double room. After we were settled in the room we did enjoy our stay. The hotel now seems to attaract a different crowd to what it used to, there is multiple stag/hen dos staying here during our stay , understandably theses are loud which is fine but the walls are very thin and when they’re returning from nights out at 4/5am it does mean we are having a disturbed nights sleep. Also leaving alcohol bottles and rubbish by the pool, playing loud music. Both of which break the hotels own rules but there is nobody to police this. The restaurant was only open for breakfast which we didn’t try. There is a shop across the road and only a short walk in to town & beach so it’s a good location.

Good hotel, near the ”party street”, away from old towns fuzz. Travelled alone. Pros: - nice size room with basic amenities PLUS kitchen (fridge+mini freezer box in it, microwave, hotplate, accessories etc.) and own balcony. - working wifi. - working A/C. - grocery stores nearby. - walking distance. Cons: - because of the location, there are partygoers yelling in corridors at night/morning and someone sleeping there in the middle of the day. - 2 single beds instead of 1 queen. This should be something to be considered everytime someone checks in alone, especially when you are asked about it.

Pleasant hotel with a view
Nice hotel - we had a room with bedroom upstairs and TV room lounge on the first floor. Could use a little renovations but accommodating and efficient as well. Had view of the pool which allowed for pleasant distractions. Overall, well situated hotel and superb professional staff at the front desk.

Not a 4 Star Hotel
Starting with the most obvious, no 4 star hotel charges extra for using the safe (3 euros per day) which is advertised as being included in the room on both hotels.com as well on their own website. This is completely false advertising and honestly very CHEAP on behalf of management for the room rates they charge during the summer. While the lobby has been upgraded, the remainder of the facilities and rooms and furniture have been largely untouched since the 1980's and the windows lack any form of noise reduction quality and you can easily hear people, motorcycles and buses if your room is facing the street. Even the laundry facility is old and they only have 1 machine per floor which is not nearly enough for a hotel that size. The pool is extremely basic and they only provide a vending machine for snacks and drinks (no alcohol allowed by the pool and not sold either)... definitely not 4 star quality. The entire stay wasn't bad though as the room itself was fairly clean and the location of the hotel was fine if you want to stay near the strip. Theres also a very good market, breakfast spot and laundry place all within a few minutes walking as well, so that was helpful during our stay. That said we'd look to stay elsewhere when we return to the Algarve.

Great stay
The hotel ia brilliant they are on top covid constantly cleaning down including sunbeds. The cleaners came daily with freah towels etc. The beds and bedding are so comfy and allowed us to chill out and sleep unlike some hotels. We visited the bar once which was nice. The bathrooms could do with modenising but was still in giod working order. Nice resturants nearby and the supermarket across the roundabout is brill including the coffee shop that cost us €2.20 for two lattes and two cakes.

This is our fourth time to stay in Luna da Oura. Lovely hotel, very clean and all the staff are so friendly and helpful. We find that it's location is perfect for us and the leisure facilities are excellent.
