A wonderful appartment in a very Portuguse small seaside town

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay , a very complete and comfortable appartment, with very nice views over The Bay.

Excellent location with beautiful views

The apartment has all that you could need with a well stocked kitchen. We didn’t need to cook as plenty of fantastic restaurants nearby We have stayed in this apartment block before and our only issue was the upkeep of the pool area. There was lots of broken roof tiles, presumably from a storm, that were lying around for all of our stay of 9 days. Within the tiles were also large pieces of broken glass. I would be concerned about children , or adults, getting cut by them and they are also a trip hazard. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay but more maintenance of the area needs to be taken

Getting there is a mini pilgrimage

Beautiful view and very clean. However, 2 things should definitely be made clear to future potential guests. This is NOT an accessible property for those with mobility limitations. It says there is parking and a garage, but that should absolutely be removed. There exists a garage, but you cannot place your car in it. So, you must park on the street and then carry your luggage, down a steep driveway, past a gate, down a steep set of approximately 10 steps, then down more steps, down more steps, then up a few steps, then you will find your door on the rear side of the building. It is quite a lot with luggage. Doable for a backpacker who is agile. The staff were highly warm and friendly upon check in at the office. However, we selected this unit for the washer/dryer, which we discovered needed servicing. We had to constantly open and close the door for the unit to continue its wash cycle and we had to just hang the clothes to dry. We called after hours help, they came, but not offered any solution to the laundry other than to locate a laundromat.

Excellent views

The apartment was exceptional with every need catered for. The location provided excellent views but any access from the resort to the beach involved a steep slope or a steep flight of steps so is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. It did not have Satellite TV offering current TV programmes as stated only MEO which offers older programmes.

Komplettes Appartment

In diesem Appartment ist alles da, was man braucht: Im Erdgeschoss kleine Terrasse mit kleinem Tisch, Wohnzimmer mit 2 Couchen und TV, Esstisch mit 6 Stühlen, WLAN, Gäste-WC, Küche m. Abstellkammer (Waschmaschine, Geschirrspüler, Backofen, 4-flammiger Gasherd, Dunstabzug, Doppelspüle, Kühlschrank mit separatem Gefrierteil, Kochutensilien bis hin zur Kuchenform). Im ersten Stock Bad mit Badewanne und integrierter Dusche + WC, ein Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett, ein Schlafzimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten (zusammenschiebbar), jeweils ein Einbauschrank im SZ + Kommode, ein großer Balkon mit großem Tisch und 2 Sonnenliegen (von beiden SZ zugänglich). Zum Pool sind es nur wenige Schritte. Der kleine runde Pool im Vordergrund ist für Erwachsene mehr als knietief (also kein Planschbecken). Zum Meer mit schönem Sandstrand auf direktem Gehweg 150 - 200 Meter. Die Palmen stehen aber nicht mehr (!) und das Haus jenseits vom Pool ist um ein Stockwerk höher (!) und war noch Baustelle im März 2019 - man sieht aber noch genug von der Bucht. Als wir da waren mit 2 Ehepaaren hatten wir die Wohnanlage (16 Einheiten) für uns, also war es angenehm ruhig.

Apartment at its best

Wonderful apartment best located, with pool and "over-equipped" in the kitchen and the bath. Also eletronic equippment is perfect. Furniture in good shape except the yellow couch in the living room - seems to be a little older, but doesn't really matter. We will come sure one day. Best regarfs from Austria Felix, Eva and Harald

Excellent location

Good sized apartment near to the sea front and main town. Very well equipped. Accessed by lots of steps as the garage was not able to be used (bolted shut). This was a disappointment as one of our party is disabled. The apartment grounds seemed to be used as a short cut by people walking into town directly passed the front door which we felt was a security issue and on the lifeguard's day off the pool was used by local teenagers. Beautiful town with some great restaurants.

clean and well equiped

this property is in a good and in a quite position a good view over the bay and very well equipped with everything you need including salt pepper cooking oil. the pool is very clean if a little on the cool side but not too bad when you become climatized.

Great apartment - five star if you get quiet neighbours

This apartment comes with everything that you need, including nice extra touches such as washing up liquid/pasta/loads of toilet rolls (you know, the annoying things you normally have to sort out but never need a full bottle/packet). Great balcony, nice pool, easy parking, couple of minutes to the beach and restaurants. But it is a large apartment block and if you have loads of noisy kids at the pool, neighbours who come home in the middle of the night etc you will hear them! Hence, if you want peace and quiet go elsewhere. Probably ideal for families with younger kids - which is probably true of the whole town.

Très beau séjour dans un superbe appartement !

Nous avons posés nos valises pendant une semaine dans ce superbe appartement parfaitement situé, suffisamment proche de la plage (2mns à pied), tout en étant à l'écart du bruit du centre ville, donc PARFAIT :) ! Confortable et très bien équipé (juste 2-3 petites choses à améliorer, comme la cafetière par exemple), nous avons aussi appréciés la terrasse qui nous permettait d'admirer la magnifique vue sur la baie de "Saõ" du levé au couché du soleil... La piscine était agréable et peu fréquentée normal en ce début de haute saison. Malgré un temps couvert pendant notre séjour, Saõ Martinho est une station balnéaire très sympathique, de bons restos et des points de vus à couper le souffle !

Excellent resort and place to stay

I had 5 nights with my wife and 5 and 2 year old daughters. Really enjoyed our stay and the highlights were: A fantastic beach area: very sheltered water, fine white sand Locals are very helpful. Provide genuine service not just unwilling service expecting a tip Apartment has an amazing view (as per photos). Well stocked with essential and non perishable items. We enjoyed the private pool every day Visiting the sand dunes and then walking to the beach on the other side of the bay is recommended We didn't feel the need to do any more than pool,and beach each day as that's what the girls love

A good place to be

Immediately welcoming, this comfortable, stylish and immaculate apartment is fully equipped to the highest standard. It is situated in the most perfect position with stunning views across the bay, and within walking distance of the beach, restaurants, bars and shops where we found the local people to be very polite and friendly.The owners are exceptionally kind, not intrusive but always on hand should you have a problem or seek advice.We have just returned from a long winter stay here and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a totally carefree and relaxing holiday in the delightful little town of Sao Martinho

Excellent apartment

I would recommend this apartment to anybody. It is in a great spot, just a short walk from the beach and some great restaurants. We enjoyed some amazing seafood (freshly caught of course) and even managed to do a little cooking ourselves in the well appointed kitchen. The pool was great and kept very clean and the views from the balconies were breathtaking. It is only a short drive from Lisbon Airport, and I would recommend hiring a car so that you can thoroughly explore the surrounding area. There is lots to discover and guide books are available in the apartment to help you plan your routes. Very thoughtful! We can not wait to go back.
