Regarding the location, you understand that the villa is situated in a rural area, which means that countryside noises are to be expected. It's part of the charm of staying in such a picturesque setting. Additionally, we can confirm that our neighbour is not operating a building company, so any noise you may have heard was likely related to him leaving for work or other regular activities in the area. The nearby road is indeed a quiet back road, which typically sees minimal traffic. We aim to offer a peaceful retreat for our guests, and we apologize if the noise level did not meet your expectations. We value your input and will take your comments into consideration as we continue to improve our guests' experiences. We hope you were able to find some enjoyment during your stay.

The villa was left clean and in excellent order The guests were very communicative during a minor plumbing problem, which, thanks to them was quickly attended to. They are very welcome to return to Casa Maydell. Highly recommended guests.

It is so important for guests to really enjoy the comforts that the property has on offer, to give the perfect holiday.

Thank you so much for the review you left on our property, we are so pleased you enjoyed the villa and its location especially the safety aspects of the pool: child safety is very important to us. We have holidayed in many villas and have grown to like it where owners have tried to make them “Homely” and not just stark and basic, this is why we have a few ornaments and pictures. You were informed that the villa was furnished as a home and not a just holiday property: other guests have liked this. In your particular circumstances with an energetic toddler it was appropriate that you moved things out of their reach, had you informed us that this might have been an issue we could have arranged this in advance but hopefully it was not too onerous. We had included a full set of instructions in the book on how to use the TV for UK TV, DVD, or casting from a mobile device. However we will make sure that Lisa points these out to guests in the future. As for the heat in the third bedroom, we are so pleased you pointed this out. Although, unfortunately(?) you visited in a heatwave where temperatures very much higher than normal we do take your point and want to make the villa more comfortable in any conditions so will be considering improvements to this. We will also ensure that guests have a top sheet under the duvet. Unfortunately in a hot country flies and wasps are plentiful. Eating out early morning or late evening – like the Spanish do- avoids most of the flies and wasps, but we appreciate this is difficult with a baby. There are several types of repellent available in the local shops. Also dogs are very popular in rural Spain and as you say there is nothing we can do about it, with the windows and blinds closed at night these are much quieter. We are very pleased you enjoyed your stay however and had a good holiday. Merilyn
