This is a pretty nice house in a great location, overlooking the ocean in Albion, CA. The owner/host is very friendly and attentive, probably one of the best hosts we've had. The house is a little older, so it's kind of dark closed off in the bedrooms. But there's more space near the front in the sunroom and the loft area, which might have been a later remodel. We loved the hot tub when the wind wasn't super strong. Great privacy, and pretty convenient to Mendocino area.

The breathtaking views and wildlife made our trip unforgettable! The weather was perfect for visiting the beach at Navarro River. The home is frequently visited by a family of deer throughout the day. We would finish the end of the day by sitting in the hot tub to watch the sunset. Thank you for allowing us to enjoy this amazing place! We hope to be back soon!

We had a wonderful time at Howard's house on the coast! The place was clean, comfortable and well kept with all the basic amenities you could need. Location is perfect for exploring all that Mendocino County has to offer. Our family enjoyed the incredible views, spacious layout, and hot tub time! Host was gracious and communicative without being overbearing - offering quick reminders for garbage etc. and answering all questions quickly and kindly. Highly recommend! We look forward to staying again soon!

My husband and I came here after our wedding in Sonoma for a mellow, cozy mini honeymoon. The views are absolutely spectacular - I posted photos online and had several people ask me afterward where we stayed. One of the most beautiful spots on the northern coast. Also a quick 10-15 minute drive into down with restaurants, shopping etc so that was perfect for us. Even when the power very briefly went out in the neighborhood, Howard was on top of it and provided updates until it came back. Check in was easy and the instructions for TV, hot tub etc were very thorough. I’d love to come back with our whole family, we miss it already!

We loved our stay at Tidepool. The view is truly incredible and we marveled at it multiple times a day every day we were there. There is also a ton of wildlife (deer, foxes, osprey, etc) around the property which was fun for our toddler (and us). The listing is very accurate. Don’t let any reservations about the slightly dated look sway you - the house is very comfortable and clean. Plus, you’ll be taking in the views the whole time anyway. We are already hoping to return!!

We had great communication with owner prior to stay, and the house was clean and comfortable. The views from the living room and deck are as spectacular as the photos! We had daily visits from deer and foxes. A great place to come back to after visiting parks, Mendocino Botanical Gardens, and a lovely place to wake up to sea breezes.

We loved staying at Tidepool and hope we can go back. The view is fantastic and the wildlife puts on quite the show. The home is very cozy and you have everything you need. We really enjoyed watching the foxes. They were so much fun to watch. They seem to be friends with the skunks we saw too. Thank you Howard for sharing your wonderful home with us!

I agree with everything that’s been previously written. The spa (hot tub) was wonderful after being out and about for the day. Ms Foxy came by twice and I swear she smiled at us! We spent hours just watching the buzzards and ravens. Beds were very comfortable snd the safety bars in the shower were perfect, though my friend said the shower sprayer didn’t quite reach when sitting on the bench. Roku TV. Wifi was great. Howard checked that all was well. Great place to unwind and just…..be.
