Perfect stay in Crestone for a long weekend

Unique home, beautiful 360 degree views, everything we needed was available (comfy bedding & furniture, well stocked kitchen, basic supplies) & easy access to hiking trails, sand dunes, and the town of Crestone. Definitely recommend!

Wonderful stay

My husband, daughter and I stayed here to drive to the Great Sand Dunes National Park for hiking. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The decor was beautiful and the outdoor space was exactly as pictured. We've stayed in a lot of rented homes all over the place, and the home was exactly as it appeared in the photos! If we return to Crestone, we'd definitely stay here again.

Spent a couple of nights in the area and this property was a dream — you have everything you need, courteous hosts, and an amazing view. We loved it so much we want to buy if this space ever goes on sale, that’s how good it is.

Private adobe cottage surrounded by wildflowers

Cute cottage five minutes from Crestone surrounded by trees, flowers and hummingbirds. Outdoor spaces are lovely and private. Especially helpful was a Crestone guidebook that helped us find interesting local sights, including the Crestonehenge labyrinth.

Beautiful Home & Natural Space

We picked Crestone as a place as our central home base while we explored Sand Dunes National Park and nearby attractions in the San Luis Valley. We loved this home. It was quiet, secluded, cozy, charming, and had a beautiful garden with hummingbirds. We definitely recommend this home for anyone staying in or around Crestone.

Perfect Crestone Stay

Very cozy cute little house. Light and bright. So quiet! Great view. It served my needs very well. Takes a little while to heat up so if you’re coming in the winter you might want to bring some wood for the first evening. Also be prepared to take out your trash and recycling.

A restful getaway

Badger Rd Cottage

We had a fantastic 3-week stay in Stan's cottage on Badger Rd. The house was very comfortable, easy to live in and work from (many zoom meetings), not to mention the beautiful setting. We would definitely want to rent the house again the net time we visit Crestone!

Awesome authentic adobe with great location

We loved the decor and cozy feel of this place. Perfect southwestern vibe with amazing mountain views and starry skies. Quick drive to the small town of Crestone and only about an hour away from the Great Sand Dunes. The only reason we’re giving it 4 stars is because you have to take care of your trash (as in take it with you..) and for the price we think this should be taken of by the rental company Evolve. The coffee machine was broken which was a bummer but not knocking them for that since it hadn’t been reported yet. Last note is prepare to walk down the dark stairs at night if you need to use the bathroom.

Beautiful yard and views!

Lovely home with a beautiful yard. We loved watching the hummingbirds each morning in the front garden area. The back yard was the perfect spot to watch the sunset. Very relaxing with all the amenities.

Crestone Retreat

We enjoyed ourselves from day one until our last day, the natural views the peacefulness and the birds, squirrels. chipmonks, humming birds, and many other types of birds. The adobe home is well maintained and a pleasure to stay in. Stan, the owner was very helpful and responsive with various questions we asked him over the time we stayed at the home. We give this home high ratings because of its overall up keep and the truly peacefull stay that we had. It was therapeutic. A genuine RETREAT of peace. J/C

The property was lovely and comfortable. Pictures are accurate. If we were there in summer/spring we would really love to utilize the entire property. I rated this highly as I liked the property. However, I question the amount charged for cleaning as we had ice at the entrance which made me a little nervous re slippage. I would think that the owner would have had the entrance cleared. We also needed to be certain to clean surfaces and take our own trash. So with sweeping, cleaning counters, stove and such, the charge seemed a bit high. Also, if you pay for damage protection and no damage...what happens to that fee? I think that your advertising of the nightly price versus the addition of owner fees and additional charge are a little deceiving of the actual charge. I went back to one of the emails when I saw my card charge and noted that you had sent the information. All that said, we did enjoy our stay.
