La casa es espectacular, limpia, bonita, muy amplia. El lugar privilegiado al lado de la laguna de Yalku, con acceso directo. La atención del Isidro, el encargado fue excelente! siempre pendiente de todo. Totalmente recomendable!!!!

Our family just finished an incredible week at Casa Caleta. From the fast communication with Karla, to the lovely home and meals cared for and prepared by Isidro, Leo, and family this was perfect. We would absolutely stay again.

We stayed for a week and did not want to leave. Beautiful house, well cared for. The beautiful property is a well hidden gem. We all went snorkeling only a short walk away. Even the 5 year old. We enjoyed the song birds, lizards, and daily visit from the gecko. The delicious meals prepared every day were especially a treat. 10 out of 10. You won't be disappointed.

La casa es muy comoda, amplia, precioso el lugar con laguna a unos metros solamente para hacer snorquel o nadar. Isidro y su familia han sido una gran ayuda en la limpieza y el desayuno. Incluso hicieron compras para nosotros. Karla muy profesional, siempre contesta muy rapido y esta dispuesta a resolver cualquier problema que se presente.La casa necesita renovacion, los aires acondicionados hacen mucho ruido, y las puertas no cierran muy bien. La cocina esta perfectamente equipada pero una renovacion le vendria muy bien. El gym en el jardin fascino a todos pero algunos de los arrefactos no estan en buen estado hasta el caso que uno de nosotros se lastimo un poco porque una pesa se le cayo encima.Su ubicacion esta un poco lejos de todo y la verdad es que hay que utilizar mucho tiempo para hacer compras.Recomendamos la casa 100% en cuanto a que es comodisima y la atencion de la gente excelente. Las fotos son reales pero no muestran el desgaste de muchas cosas.Para un grupo como nosotros de 9 adultos fue muy comodaMuchas gracias Karla e Isidro y familia!

If you are looking for a place that is away from the crowds but close enough to all the activities this is the place. It was peaceful safe and relaxing. Isidro and his wife made the trip even that much better. We had them do most of are dinners and breakfast's and it was the best food. Every meal was great. He was always happy and helpful with all are questions. We had a great time in the near by lagoon also. I would highly recommend this Place to stay. Myself and family loved it.

We really enjoyed our stay at the house. It was clean and a great location in the jungle and right by the lagoon. The living room, deck and pool are exactly as it looks in the pictures. It is a beautiful open space to relax and have fun as a group. Asidro and his wife were wonderful. They really allowed us to relax and accommodated all our requests. The kitchen was not as stocked as we expected when we decided to cook our own meals, but Asidro’s cooking made up for it. The location was further away from Akumal and a vehicle was needed to get around, but the location to the lagoon was fabulous. The beds were a bit hard and the house has had some wear and tear, but that’s to be expected from a rental.

We had the most incredible stay at Casa Caleta!Communication with Karla was great—quick to respond and super helpful with any questions or requests. One of the absolute highlights of our stay was the chef service with Isidro, his wife Leo, and their family. They were the sweetest people, and the meals they prepared for us were so delicious and affordable too! We highly recommend booking as many meals as possible!The villa itself was perfect for a large group. It was beautiful, spacious, and had everything we needed. The cleaning service was also wonderful, especially with so many guests! The lagoon access in the backyard was awesome and the snorkeling was so fun. The outdoor space was gorgeous, with well-maintained gardens, places to lounge, a private gym, room for games, and an overall very relaxing atmosphere. The property felt very safe with a guarded entrance and was tucked away from busy tourist areas.We rented cars, but when we needed a taxi, Isidro helped us arrange for a van that fit all 15 of us at a reasonable price.Another standout experience was the in-villa massage service that Karla recommended (Pedro's Massage Company). They were incredibly flexible with scheduling and set up three tables in the backyard gym. Nine of us got massages, and they were absolutely amazing—so relaxing and professional!Overall, our stay at Casa Caleta was pure magic. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a perfect getaway in Akumal!

We were stunned by the beauty inside and out. Well maintained and comfortable. The short walk to the lagoon was well marked and easy to follow. Snorkeling there was one of our favorite activities. It was farther to town than we had anticipated, and as we had 16 in our family group, it was a challenge to get around, but we quickly learned to use the local taxis and buses. The on-site personnel were quiet, unobtrusive, friendly and professional. We requested that they cook several dinners for us and the garlic shrimp they prepared was especially delicious. Overall, we felt quite spoiled in such a luxurious and spacious home with ample sleeping and bathroom facilities, all very well air-conditioned. Highly recommended!

Discovering this place was incredible! Our group of 18 friends and family gathered here to celebrate our dual 30th birthdays, and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. Karla, our host, was an absolute gem—she graciously allowed us to check in early and was incredibly accommodating with all our requests throughout our stay. The culinary skills of Yesidro, his wife, and their son Israel were beyond exceptional. They treated us to mouthwatering meals, including chilaquiles, ceviche, and lobster. They also made sure the house was clean and beautiful each day and helped arrange transport. Their hospitality truly made our celebration exceptional. The property's location felt almost surreal—nestled within walking distance were two private cenotes, offering us a serene and intimate connection with nature. Additionally, the nearby lagoon was a paradise for snorkeling. During our explorations, we were fortunate to witness an array of wildlife including birds, stingrays, eels, a sea turtle, and even an agoti - truly mesmerizing experiences. The house and its surroundings were breathtaking, complemented by efficient air conditioning that ensured our comfort. Karla's constant availability through WhatsApp, coupled with the unwavering assistance from her and Yesidro in arranging anything we needed, made our stay effortless and enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an exceptional getaway!

Good: The home is spacious and a great fit for a group. The grounds are unique and amazing from the private access to the lagoon to the on-grounds cenote! The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to enjoy drinks and meals at the house. Isidro and his family (caretakers) were a joy and took great care of us. We loved their help in making the grocery run and cooking for us. The food was good, though a tad bland to us. But that's to be expected because we're from New Orleans. We loved the stock of beach towels, fins, and snorkel gear to enjoy the lagoon and cenote. The location is fantastic. Central to Playa del Carmen, Akumal, and Tulum. Bad: House is in need of attention and maintenance. AC in the main areas of the house didn't work for 2 out of the 6.5 days of our trip. Two days of not being able to congregate as a group without miserable heat (it was 95 outside). We didn't have hot water for two days of our stay. The rooftop deck that is eloquently described in the description was not useable. It was full of trash, ladders and maintenance equipment, benches in need of attention, and...a huge, broken hot tub. Key kept getting stuck in the door so house was often not secure. I get that it was impossible to get an AC repair person out on the weekend; however, for a house at this price point, I was shocked that the host was unwilling to work with us to make it right (she offered $10 per person). Many of us saved for a year for this trip.

House was amazing! Had 12 guys for a bachelor party and the location was perfect. The shuttle service they set you up with was awesome they had a van to take us to everything while we were there. Akumal is nearby with great restaurants and beach access. The private lagoon out back for snorkeling was perfect for relaxing and getting in the ocean without having the leave the property. Highly recommend!

I came to akumal with my fiance, and two of my girlfriends with their families with children ranging in ages 1 - 7. 11 of us total. We absolutely loved our stay. Everyone was so kind and made our stay so convenient. The property is gorgeous surrounded my beautiful personal cenotes. The kids loved it and didnt want to leave. A perfect family vacation

Karla's home in Akumal is beyond words. I stayed here with a group of 12 friends for my Bachelorette trip, we all were so comfortable and had an incredible time. We all felt like we were at a private resort. Isidro and his family were so welcoming, easy to work with and cooked amazing food. His son even went up into the palm trees and cut 12 coconuts for us to drink/eat, it was surreal! The house was beautiful, and so much bigger than the photos can show. The top deck had stunning views for sunsets and the "jungle gym", yard and pool were also outstanding. The house has a private cenote which had huge iguanas sunbathing and the Yal-ku Cenote Laguna is a 60 second walk down a path directly in the backyard which had beautiful neon blue fish; you can swim across and rent snorkel gear! Karla's connection to the driving company with Arnoldo was also so amazing. Lenny, our main driver, was so sweet and helpful. We all felt so safe while driving around Tulum to see the cenotes and going into town at night for dancing. I cannot recommend this property enough. I would love to go back and stay here again in the future. Thank you Karla, Isidro, Arnoldo & Lenny!

Had the greatest time celebrating our friend’s bachelorette here — Karla is super helpful and attentive and gave me the contact info for a driver to use throughout the weekend. She also coordinated with Isidro to get all the groceries, etc. for the group and to ensure we were fed. All at a super affordable price point (14 total of us)! ¡Muchísimas gracias a todos en Casa Caleta — os extrañamos mucho!

Karla and Isidro were amazing! Karla was extremely easy to communicate with and helped my group of friends with transportation, setting up reservations, grocery shopping and being available 24/7. Isidro was extremely friendly, helpful and is also an amazing cook! The property it self was peaceful and quite with so much to do such as the jungle gym in the backyard and the cenote for snorkeling. The house is very space full and everything inside the house worked amazing. I would stay at Kayla’s residence over and over again. 30 minute taxi to the beaches wasn’t an issue either as the taxi service is very affordable if you are going with a group of friends. I would recommend Karla’s house 10/10 times!

Great property, very private and quiet, as any property in paradise there were a few mosquitoes. Don’t forget to send a shopping list to Isidro before arrival that way you have something to eat as soon as you get there.

The property is wonderful and being able to snorkel the lagoon each day was amazing. the pool and accommodations are clean and well maintained. Isidore is always around and willing to help. If any thing went wrong our concerns were met and addressed and resolved. this place is great for a large group and there are multiple places to spread out. We looked forward to our stay for a long time and it was a great place and vacation.

Beautiful house with access to a lagoon for snorkeling. Very quiet neighborhood, but not so close (walking distance) to a lot of things. We decided to use the cooking service because of that. Food was very good for our large party. Isidro was very accommodating and helpful. Would definitely come back.

The property is amazing! We felt like kings & queens the way Isidro catered to us. Him & his wife are fabulous cooks and always were on top of asking if we needed anything. They always made sure we had clean shower & pool/beach towels for our adventures in the cenotes & beaches. We were here for 7 days w/10 adults for Thanksgiving and we all had more then enough space to relax in the middle of what felt like the jungle. Would recommend this home. The only down side was alot of the beds were very firm and a few of us slept on the couches, but over all we loved it

My friends and I stayed here for my bachelorette and our trip was absolutely incredible. This house is spectacular and spotless !!! Karla the property manager was always available via WhatsApp and promptly responded to any questions I had. She was incredibly helpful. Isidro (the chef) and his family were lovely and the food was to die for. Our group paid additional fee for a driver and he was very punctual and nice. I would absolutely recommend this property !! I’m definitely coming back with my family :)

We had 13 people between the ages of 10 and 74. This home fit us all very comfortably, with room for several more. Isidro and his family were amazing! And the food! So, so good. Karla, the manager, was incredibly responsive and offered many resources to make our visit a success. We got away from the snow at home and spent a week in a tropical paradise. We were already planning our return before we left.
